Zaylie was out of her cabin, she wanted to get around and do stuff. She has been hiding far too long. The daughter of Demeter walked around camp until she came upon a place, she had heard about the Arts Buliding, how people go there and kind of embrace their creativity, not that Zaylie had... She found some paint and a big paper, she laid the paper in the table and with the paint she found she sunk in her hand, filling it with paint, she didn't mind messing up her clothes, they were just clothes really, so she splashed some paint in the paper, then started some finger painting and more splashing.

"You know, it's actually a lot easier if you use a brush?" Devin chuckled as he held a brush out to the girl who seemed determined and becoming the newest art piece in the room. "Keep at that, and we'll have to put you in a frame." He said happily. He liked the art building. He wasn't the best at art himself but he always found really interesting people around, maybe creations and being awesome. He always admired other peoples talents and where he couldn't cultivate them himself, he chose to watch. Making observations that really didn't have any artistic backing behind them. But he enjoyed admiring his friends nonethless.

Zaylie looked at boy who offered her a brush, she tried to shrug and just say no but took it with a smile. "Thanks." She put it next to her but didn't actually use it, finger painting was so much more fun that with a brush. "You should try to paint with your fingers, go wild." She laughed at his joke and stood up from where she was painting. "Aw, its so pretty," She looked from his point of view, "Help me?" She said hopelessly, while she grabbed her finger with green paint and smudged some in his cheek. "Oops."

He noticed her set it to the side, and smiled admiringly. "Well, I suppose the possibilities of hand painting than a brush." He shrugged, bending over to get closer to the paper, "I'll be your fellow painter, sure." He said, smiling. He wasn't exactly expecting the green to appear on his cheek though, he laughed out loud. "Oops?' Yeah, right. I always wanted to look like shrubbery." He added casually. He reached down to find some rosie pink paint and dabbed a little onto the canvas before swiping some on her nose. "Looks good on you." He smiled.

She smiled in agreement and laughed at his shrubbery joke. "Well shrubberies can be cute." She faked gasped at being painted in her nose with pink, she shrugged and said. "I'm kind of a blue type of gal, pink really isn't my color." She looked by her side and found some red paint and put both fingers in it and quickly made a line in his forehead and in his chin. "Now you are Chirstmas!" She laughed looking at the green and red paint.

He nodded, "Not like I need to be a shrub to be cute but..." he smirked, "it does help!" He said with a laugh. Then he shrugged his shoulders, "Blue is good too, but I like pink. The pastel kind not the bright vibrant one." He said trying to explain the pink he was talking about. Then he realized it was on his finger and brought it close to her face, "Like this one!" He stood still as the read paint came towards him except to reach his hand into a deep blue color, "Hmm, I do love Christmas..." he said as he drew a circle around the outside of her face with the blue, framing it. "Beautiful. Just stunning." He said, stifling another laugh.

"Oooh, so you telling me you're cute?" And he was, Zaylie was a fangirl inside that whole love for arguing thing, maybe it was her nice side showing, she was always so defensive and he had caught her in a good day so she felt proud to be nice to someone. "I get it, the neon colors are so not my thing, I feel like they are just wanting some attention." It was funny talking about colors as if they had feelings or thoughts. "Who doesn't?" She smiled and didn't move as he traced her face with paint. She finally grabbed a brush and soaked it in yellow paint. She turned to him and flipped the brush to him trying to paint him with spots of paint.

"I'm just informing you of the obvious," he said, in reference to his cuteness, "Just making sure that you are fully aware of the situation. He thought about the rosie pink and how it suited her in the sense that it was subtle but beautiful. "Yeah, i've never been a huge fan. Though I do like orange. Orange is always a good color though...." he really did like orange. It reminded him of sunsets. "I mean attention is nice but only if it's deserved. At least that's what I hear." He said awkwardly, shrugging as he did so.

"Ha-ha, you're cute as a bush." Which was true, because she said bushes were cute, she hid a laugh and nodded at the color orange, "I like orange, its a nice color, not too attention seeker, but subtle like it doesn't try to be all-" She looked down, "I'm just babbling words here," She smiled and just knew it was time to stop talking, she leaned to her painting and just smudged some paintng around, it looked nice, maybe it wasn't the word to describe it since it was a bit weird looking.

He nodded, "I really am as cute as a bush. Well, as far as i've been told that is." He smiled childishly, widely, wholeheartedly at her. He laughed at her comment about babbling. "Oh no, you aren't babbling! You just have a lot of information and opinions about these colors emotions, you are just very sensitive to them, which is nice of you considered they've probably been ignored all of these years." He paused, "Now i'm babbling..." He added awkwardly with a smile. He decided to add a deep blue on the bottom to give an oceany look, it helped... a little.

Zay chuckled, a smile growing at the tip of her mouth, "Yeah, exactly." She said in a proud way, colors didn't get that much attention, and she liked all the things that had those colors they were a lot like nature. "It's okay to babble every now an then, it's good for the brain and heart." She looked at the painting, it was good, getting much better but still needed a lot of work, it was really funny how bad she was painting with her fingers, she was better with a brush and much more better painting nature things, but maybe because she caught every detail from it.

Devin nodded excitedly and his smile grew rather large on his face, "I, for one, am very good at babbling which is why my brain and my heart are so big and so very welcoming and happy!" he said, Yes he was boasting a little bit, but being a Son of Hermes it wasn't that unnatural to act a little pig-headed about their attitudes every now and then. He followed her gaze and stared at the painting. "In all honesty, do you spend a lot of time painting?" He asked her seriously, hoping that he was going to get to know this girl. She was funny and flirt as far as he could tell so far, which are two aspect he liked in friends.

"So babbling is very good, indeed." She smiled, she hadn't gotten a good laugh in a while, her cabin was pretty dull after her cabin leader pops in and out and then she really never is there to be with her siblings so she was mostly out in the forest. "Actually, I do. But ironically only paintings of nature or food. But I can never get people right. It's my escape, like Apollo kids play basketball, Poseidon kids surf." She could go on with that but she just nodded as if it made things clearer.

"Then we are in agreement." Devin nodded, making a mock serious face. "And Hermes kids woo beautiful woman?" Devin winked at her and laughed. Camp was fun. Friends were fun. It was a nice escape from all of the really terrible things going on in their lives and out in their future. He ignored the thought, "All right miss painter, why don't you show me some of your works of art? I'm sure you have them hidden somewhere." he raised an eyebrow at her, "Maybe your cabin? Gods know your leader won't catch us." HE kind of regretted not getting to know Harper, but she was kind of a crazy face.

"More like Hermes kids woo Aphrodite girls who reject them." She smiled trying for it to sound almost like a joke, but maybe it had come out as rude. "My paintings?" She was kind of secretive with them, not even her father had seen them, they were her escape and to show them to someone was like letting someone be in her paradise. "Uh." She didn't wanna lie so she just kept quiet. "Harper isn't that bad, she is actually a good leader just she isn't around much."
