He had always liked strawberries. But somehow, when he was forced to do anything, he lost his love for them. Strawberry after endless strawberry passed from his hand to his basket. Sure, he could have had a worse punishment, he could be washing dishes with the lava soap. But this was not much better. Grayson took a break, leaning back and wiping the sweat from his forehead. How long had he been out here? What was he even here for? He had been here so long he had forgotten. Perhaps he was exaggerating. "Why me?" He asked out loud in a mocking tone, only mocking himself.

This was so stupid. Fire one dart at one stupid Aphrodite and the whole camp went crazy. It wasn't as if she'd known it would happen. Apparently this new arm of hers had more secrets than the makers wanted to share. Stupid Hephaestus kids with their crazy creations. Of course, she was still glad for the new arm, it helped while she was stuck growing new berry plants in the fields. She was in a section of freshly tilled dirt, taking the small plants from a basket, setting them onto the soil, then pouring close to all of her energy into making them grow. After each plant, she had to stop for a break. This was one of those times. She sunk to her knees with a sigh, her vision getting blurry as he tried to settle herself.
She searched blindly with her hand until she found the small cooler she had brought out with her. She knew what would do the trick. It always brought her energy back full force. She pulled out the small flask, uncorked it, and took a quick swig of the berry wine inside. A sigh escaped as she closed up the flask, setting it back down. In less than a minute, her vision was sharper than it had been, and she didn't feel as if she was about to collapse. So she righted herself, dug into the ground with her hands, and went back to her duty.

There had to be an end to the strawberries. He knew the field didn't go on forever, but maybe that was only when you walk around it. Maybe when you were inside it never ended. That was not a comforting thought. He pushed himself back onto his knees to continue working when he saw an end to the green plants A miracle! he thought. The only problem was there was a girl adding more plants even as he sat there. He felt as if he brain were about to explode. "What are you doing!" He cried, standing up and stalking toward her. "Don't you think I have enough to do!" He stopped when he was standing over her, glaring down at the girl.
Now that he was close to her he realized she didn't look very happy to be here either. She had a small flask next to her and the plants she had put into the ground only minutes before already had fruit on them. Daughter of Dionysus, obviously. He wondered if she wanted to be here, but the look on her face said not really. Maybe she was here for a punishment as well... if that was the case, perhaps he shouldn't have gotten so upset.
Realizing his possible mistake he stood a little straighter and pushed his flowing sleeves up before folding his arms, acting as if he hadn't done anything wrong and was expecting an answer.

Mae had just placed one of the saplings in the dirt when she heard the footsteps. Probably someone checking up on her to make sure she was actually doing her job. She was so wrong. An angry voice filled her ears, and as soon as it was finished she didn't hesitate. She whipped around, seeing knees, and stood up, not even bothering to brush the dirt off of her knees. "Excuse you, mister high and mighty! Who do you think you are? Think it makes you big and bad to yell at a little girl?!" Heat was rushing to her cheeks as she balled her hands into fists. She was used to people yelling at her, but the venom in this guys voice brought her anger to a whole new level. She had even gone so far as to pull out the 'little girl' card, even though this boy probably could have been her age.
"It's not as if I want to be here! You think I like being out here in the sun, using up my energy like this?" She narrowed her eyes into a glare and stared at him for a moment before finishing. "I thought not." When she was finished, she took a deep breath and turned back around, kneeling in the dirt once more. She had a look of anger mixed with determination on her face as she poured her energy into the little sapling. She instantly regretted the decision. Emotions made her powers crazy. The berry bush shot up, growing almost as tall as she was, causing her to fall back in the dirt, letting out a small squeak in the process. She didn't even comment, just sat there, glaring up at the stupid plant.
