WARNINGS & BANS
1) Please respect others. Do not say anything hurtful (sexist, racist, etc). Do not harass other members. There will be no drama out of character. If you have an issue with another member, please ONLY message the admins. We are all here for the same reason: to have fun writing.
2) Respect all admins and mods. They are chosen for a reason. If you do not like something one of them does, you may only talk to the Overlord (Char) about it.
3) In OOC, we do ask that you pick an alias to go by whether it’s your name or a made up one.
4) The cbox is English-only. Do not spam in the cbox.
5) Please do not post spoilers of any kind in the cbox. We have a spoilers board in the chat area for you to spoil to your heart's content.
IC RULES
1) We are an intermediate site. This means we expect you to have at least some experience with forum-based roleplays and are comfortable with your roleplaying skills.
2) The word minimum for the site is 100 words.
3) Please use correct grammar/spelling. Minor mistakes are okay, but please double-check your posts before posting.
4) All posts must be in third person. We will ask for you to rewrite your post if it’s not.
5) Keep all material PG-16 or lower. There will be no M content allowed on the site or anything that leads up to M content.
6) Swearing it allowed, but do not abuse it.
7) No god-modding or powerplay whatsoever.
8) There is a Three Hit Rule in fights/battles. This means with every post, there can only be three different actions per post during a fight/battle. You can choose to do less actions, if you so desire, but no going over three actions.
9) If you want your character to have a kid, you must PM Charlotte, or Rachel. They all need to approve in order for it to be allowed. The child, when approved, can be played out on a parent(s) account.
CHARACTER RULES
1) There is no character limit, but only one Big Three character per player. A second Big Three character may be granted to active members in good standing. Please ask an admin for permission.
2) Your character application must be FULLY completed before it can be considered for review. No part should be left blank.
3) Once your character is accepted, you’ll be placed in CLAIMS ONLY until you post in the required FACE CLAIM and CABIN CLAIM or COHORT CLAIM. Then you will be placed in your appropriate user group and have full access to the site.
4) You must have a photo of your character in your signature or avatar. Signatures (along with all graphics) should be no larger than 500 px wide.
5) You may ONLY drop characters during activity checks. You may not drop them in between activity checks.
ROMAN CHARACTER RULES
1 All Legionaries that did not originally live in New Rome MUST go through the Wolf House in order to be chosen for the Legion.
2) You cannot request to be Praetor if there is an opening. Admins will ask if you would like to be if we believe you have proved yourself as an active and respected member.
3) New Rome residents have no age limit, but any playable character must still be above the age of 5. Residents of New Rome are demigods or descendants of demigods. Mortals are not permitted to live in the barrier of the city.
QUEST/MISSION RULES
1) There will be a lottery system for determining questers/scouts. We will accept as many applicants during the signup time frame, but staff will make the final selection.
2) In order to participate in any quests/mission, you MUST be able to post at least once a week. Failure to do so will get your character pulled from the quest/missions and forfeit you from signing up for the next few quests/missions.
3) Whenever your character is on a quest/missions, you are NOT allowed to post in new threads or create new threads inside of camp (unless they take place before the quest/mission started). You are allowed to post in any threads you participated in before the quest/mission.
4) Quests/missions need to be completed three months after questers/scouts are selected. This means that the quest/mission must be started and completed within this time frame. Failure to complete the quest/mission within the time frame will deem said quest/mission a failure.
5) The outcome of failed quests/missions will be determined by staff. If a quest/mission fails, staff will post in the quest/mission thread that it failed and what happened because of it.
6) At the moment, we'll only accept applications for characters that haven't been on a quest/mission before.
ACTIVITY POLICY
This policy only applies to people who have not notified staff about their absence and/or posted in the absences board. This policy is not in effect when there’s an active activity check.
1) New accounts that haven’t been active in the last 30 days will be deleted.
2) Any accepted accounts that haven’t been active in the past 30 days will be marked inactive.
3) Any inactive accounts that haven’t been logged into in the past 90 days will be deleted.
4) There is the opportunity to come back and activate your character again as long as you left on good terms. Please note that you will be placed on a waitlist if your cabin/cohort is closed and you must choose a new play by if yours was claimed by someone else.
WARNINGS & BANS
If you've been caught breaking any of the rules, the following system will be used:
1st infraction: 50% Warning Level and warning note from staff
2nd infraction: 90% Warning Level and 48 hour ban
3rd infraction: Lifetime IP ban and deletion of the account
The only except to this system is in the case of spamming. That leads to immediate lifetime banning and the deletion of the account (if one was created).
Warning levels can be reduced based on the behavior of the member and the discretion of the staff members. This good behavior deduction is a privilege, not a right.
