Jay grinned brightly. The sun was burning into her back, the air was clean, and she was away from school. No more terrible people around, just like-minded slightly dyslexic, odd kids like her. Ones that knew how it was to be alone. Ones that worked their hardest to bring peace to this summer camp. It was definitely home.
Not only was she sure Camp Half Blood was where she belonged, she had already made a friend. Sort of. Granted, David was a little weird, but she didn't really care. They had been talking all morning, and she had promised to show him some of the finer things of this world. He had already seen bacon, she grinned. Jay wondered if he knew what birthdays were, maybe she could make him a suit out of bacon for his. That would be priceless!
But now she carried a bag with a laptop, and a small gaming console across the lawn and volleyball courts towards the Morpheus Cabin. Because, most of all, Val was a teenager, and the daughter of Athena needed to teach him about technology and the internet. She groaned under the weight of her bag, dragging it inch by inch until she finally got to the Morpheus cabin. The blonde took a breather, sitting on the porch. She then got up and knocked on the door, four times precisely.

Val has no idea how to have people over. Yeah, just let that sentence sink in, think about it, let it stew, and you probably have an idea how how val was freaking out right now. "What the heck is expected of a person when you have someone over to... how did she say? hang? How the hell do people even call if that anyways, as if we are going to be hanging from the roof or something? That's completely stupid. Arg! Why is reality so hard to understand?" he asked, hanging the heel of his palms on his head, looking around.
Being the only Morpheus camper, he had a cabin to himself, so he decorated it how he liked it. When he had been insane, it had like, zero Decorations and was bear expect or the leko lamp (he liked calling them that). Now, more of the lamps had been put away, and there were posters up on the wall from music bands and other shows. He recently found out about anime, and japan, and suddenly felt a home. Their craziness and their shows reminded him of the dream realm. He had a few posters up from shows he likes (After doing some runs for people, and getting money, he found an anime store about 7 miles out, and he loved it). Anyways, looking around, he figured he finally found his style, but he was nervous. Letting someone else see... it was nerve wrecking. Letting a friend see what you liked, and having them judge you. That was terrifying.
Val walked around, nervous. He kicked a pair of his jeans on the floor under one of the beds there, looking around and sighed, sitting down and said," I walked through monster infested forest nearly every night, and yet the idea of having a friend over is making my crap my pants. Jeez." He laughed, falling back on the mattress and looking up.
He wasn't worried about anything happening. After the past few days, his memories of the dream world had been returning, and he remembered hers. Course, it wasn't like he told anyone that. These were some personal things he knew, and he wasn't exactly gonna say anything. Course, knowing it make it more and less awkward in varying degrees. It wasn't like he was bugged by it(He truthfully didn't give a damn). In dreams, he saw everyone's preferences. The internet had nothing on dreams, though he didn't know it.
Val closed his eyes, thinking," Maybe I can sleep?" He missed sleep. He had never even been bored much in the dream realm, but reality... dear gods, bored was so bad and just...Arg! trying to figure out how to fill the hours. He was getting creative, but it wasn't as good as waking up after a nice afternoon nap. Though, those afternoon naps were now just filled with lieing there, closing his eyes and thinking, trying to sleep but can't.
Val's eyes snapped open, not able to stay still and moved over to the small stereo he had, flicking it on and putting music on. He smirked, hearing James brown come on. "Don't wake me up," he sang, and started a two step dance he learned from an Aphrodite. He was learning how to dance from that boy, and it was fun.
*Knock Knock Knock*
The son of dreams stopped dancing, looking at the door with his face flushed as the song was hitting out the bass hard. He stopped, smiling and slowed his breathing. That was something he still found fascinating. When a body started moving fast, and it needed to breath more and more. "Coming!" he shouted, going and turning the music down. "This is now a favorite song," he said, laughing at the lyrics as it went quite. He padded over to the door again, smirking as that release calmed his nerves a lot.
"What up?" he asked, smiling at jay as she stood there. "Come on in," he said, turning and then twisted in place, almost Michael Jackson style as the song repeated. "Did you know that they don't have that much music in the dream realm? Also, I fucking love this song now!" he laughed, spinning and trying to get his feet to go. The only thing he did though was twist his legs together and end up falling over. Val laughed, not realizing that the adrenaline in his system was at it again.
(This. Is going to be fun.)

Jay heard music through the door after she knocked. Was that.. Chris Brown? What? She shrugged, laughing. Val was even more different than she thought. Well, she shouldn't judge. Does It Offend You, Yeah? was a lot stranger, and she listened to them on a regular basis. She shrugged. Hearing her friend, she shouted back in a groan, "Alright!" She adjusted her bag, hoping it would relieve the pressure that was currently destroying her shoulder. Realising exactly what she was doing, Jane began to think. She had never really had good friends, due to her whole ADD personality. What if she completely messed up and he decided to not be friends and spread rumors about how strange she was? Or what if she ended up killing him with some tiny remnant of nuclear radioactivity from her dad's science lab? Or what if-
But the door opened before she had a full on panic attack. "The sky, the clouds, the sun" she answered, grinning. Her eyebrows raised as she saw him spin. When did he learn how to dance? She definitely didn't know how, herself, so she was pretty impressed. "I didn't know they didn't have music! That would be why I never dream of it! And this song is pretty frinking great!" she replied, laughing and bobbing her head to the beat. She carefully placed her laptop by the door, and turned to hear a thump. She laughed herself, seeing him fall over. "You awright?" she asked, her voice switching to an australian accent for a moment. She held out her hand to help him up. "Don't die yet, silly!" Jay grinned

"Thanks," he said, taking her hand. Course, then he started to think of her comment, on his feet after that. "It would be hard to know. Compare it to...ummm.." val paused, wishing he could just show her, but it was different. "Think of them like two worlds. Only, when one sleeps, their minds create their own space in the dream realm, like a bubble. These bubbles all are like their own world inside it, a separate little existence that some can look into. Mostly Morpheus and a few of his kids. Each person's dream though is all in this place though, but between each one, it's...actually really quiet," he said, realizing that for the first time. Before he was kicked out, he didn't mind the silence, but since coming here, he hated it. That was why he ever gone the radio in the first place. To fill the void that the silence left behind.
"Still, not important right now," he said, pushing the subject off. It wasn't the subject of the 'hanging out'. He heard it was something called... video games? What ever those were "Did you bring these... internets?" he asked, unsure if he was saying it right as he crossed the room. He plopped down in one of the chairs at a desk, pulling his legs up in a criss-cross form with his hands on his knees, lightly spinning himself around to look at her. He still didn't understand a word she was saying when she spoke all techy on him.

She nodded at his explanation. "So, little bubble worlds with silence between them. That sounds a bit like gungan cities in Star Wars. But water instead of silence..." she blurted. Jay tried to imagine just what it would look like. in the dream world. Just quiet darkness with a billion worlds with different situations in them, constantly swirling around one another. Seemed rather chaotic. But at the same time, silent. Silence was really calming at times. She had grown up with silence, though. To people used to noise, it must have been terrifying.
When Val asked if she brought 'the internets' she laughed quietly. "Yes, I brought my laptop. The entire internet, if it had a weight, would probably be heavier than the entire planet, so not exactly portable unless you were Atlas" she replied, grinning. She pulled her laptop from the pile of various technological items she had brought, and walked over to the desk, setting it down gently. The fans hummed as it turned on, a familiar sound, and she grinned. A thought came to her mind. "Have you ever seen one of these before?" she asked, pointing to her computer. She then quickly hacked into the firewall Chiron had put up so she could access the mainly banned sites. "Now, what would you like to see first?" she asked, falling back to the floor and crossing her legs, from her standing-on-her-knees position. "Writing, video games, Youtube, or..." she mouthed a word that would be offensive coming from anyone's mouth that rhymed with 'corn', and winced. Hopefully Val didn't choose the last one.

Val frowned, looking at and, while not wanting to look like an idiot, he didn't know how to not sound like and idiot. He sat down, and looked at the little mouse thing. He knew what that was, but never could figure out what it did. Last time he used one...he wasn't exactly focusing on the computer. He Poked it, and saw something on the computer. His eyes widened, and he moved it a little more. "Something moved on the screen," he said, and grabbed it, moving the thing around. He smirked, and flecked his fingers, and heard something click. he picked it up, looking at it. "I'll be honest. I don't know what your talking about when you say that," He said, and put the mouse back down, wiggling it over the screen desktop.
After a moment of figuring out that the mouse was click things, val narrowed his eyes, and said," Umm, what are these things? He asked, pointing at the screen and at the icon. He narrowed his eyes at it, and clicked. it highlighted, so he clicked it again, and then again, thinking," Nothing's happening."
Then a window opened suddenly, which made Val fall backwards in his chain in fright. "What just happened?!?" he asked, looking to Jay. He was worried he broke it as something called Google came up on the screen.
