Kurtis Lancaster

Dare you to look me in the eye

Kurtis smirked, sunning on the big house roof with only a pair of shorts on, the rest of his clothes lieing next to him. He had a pair of head phones in and his arms under his head, humming out a rap under his breath. "Life is good," he thought, sighing and flexing his feet. Who ever said that sunning was just for chicks? It was relaxing as hell, just being able to lie down on a towel, watch the sun travel across the sky, and listen to you music play? sometimes, you just needed a day off. He smirked, laughing and reached over, grabbing a can of coke. He had a seriously good deal going on with that Val kid. He didn't know why he was crazy enough to walk out of camp to a store just to get coke, but it was worth paying him to do so when jessi came to hang at his cabin and he had drinks. Course, his stash had a lot more then just coke and beer.
Kurtis rolled over, seeing his ring vibrate on roof top. "that's...new," he thought, grabbing it as it started to slid and put it on.
"KURTIS I SWEAR TO GODS WHAT DID YOU DO?!?" Kenji's voice roared into his head. Kurtis nearly rolled off the roof. After Kurtis stabolized, he shook his head and said," I don't follow."
There was a confused silence from Kenji's end, and he thought back," where have you been the last 2 hours?"
"On the big house roof sunning. Why?"
There was silence, and a small thud from Kenji's end as kenji thought," Anyone else, I would doubt that. So you didn't do it?"
"What did't I do?" kurtis asked, and then saw it in Kenji's mind. Someone had put a ton of spiders into his bed. Kurtis snorted, and then laughed. The Athena cabin would be haunted by those suckers for weeks. "Kenji, I'm not that brave or stupid enough to put spiders in your bed. You should know that after I did it when we were seven." Kurtis got his ass kicked after that one.
There was silence from his brother's end, and then he admitted," okay, I believe you. But who would put spiders in my bed? Someone clearly isn't up to date on my new biology. I'm more pissed about this now that they are going to be biting my people." Kurtis rolled his eyes at that one. Ever since Kenji became a cabin leader, he thought of all the other athena campers as his People. yeah, it made Kurtis a little jealous. His cabin mates never really relied on each other that much, and it was more dog eat dog. Kenji seemed to have gotten a cabin where they seem to at least care for each other.
"I know bro. Still, have to say, that has to come in handy." Kurtis smirked, knowing Kenji would be rolling his eyes. the son of love got up and stretched, seeing that his skin had tanned beautifully. He grabbed his shirt, putting it on and grabbed his jeans. "Come on over to the big house. We can compare notes," he thought back, putting one leg through, then the other. "I'll be over once I make sure they are mostly gone." Kurtis rolled his eyes that time, slipping his other leg through. That could take forever.
Kurtis started pulling his socks on, thinking back," So, on another note, when did the rings have a call feature?"
"They always have, but we rarely take them off."
"Good point," Kurtis thought, grabbing his shoes. "So, how's it going with dru?" he asked, knowing that would distract his brother a little.
"I'm telling you nothing," Kenji thought back, but amusement on his tone. Kurtis paused in the middle of tieing his shoe, looking up in confusion. "Course, it was that action that made him see someone heading out of the forest. Kurtis almost looked away, not caring, but he saw the dripping bag that the youth had in his hand.
"Kenji... look in my eyes," he said, and both boys looked through Kurtis's eyes as they saw a dark haired youth stroll out of the woods, looking smug. "That's just a little strange right?" Kurtis asked. Both of them got the same uneasy feeling. Kurtis finished tiring his shoes, watching as the boy went back into the woods. "That's....creepy," he thought, and kenji didn't respond.
"Kenji?" he thought back, not seeing the boy anymore. It scared him since the bag had been dripping a green substance, not red of even golden dust. "We can't track him now. I don't know where he went in and your to far away. Keep an eye out. That's two strange things that has happened today." Kurtis nodded, grabbing his other shoe and slipping it on. "That, was freaky. Even for this camp," Kurtis reply. Kenji laughed at that one, which was good to hear.
"So, dru. Now. Asked her out yet?" Kurtis asked, smirking as he could picture the blush going across Kenji's cheeks.
"bug off," Kenji thought.
"Ahh, so you haven't. Just a warning. The longer you wait, the more likely someone else will ask. Specially in this camp. Have you heard about that one dude that recently got here? I heard that he says hello by grabbing a girls boobs." He smirked, knowing that would turn Kenji's face red. "Course, if he went up to dru and did that, would she like it or not?"
"I hate you right now," Kenji thought. Kurtis laughed.
"I'm kidding. I would be right there with you if he did that man. You better have my back if it happens to jess."
"I know I know. I hate to admit it, but that girl has been good on you, even if she is a drunk half the time and has some serious mental problems."
"I'm not sure whether to slap you or not."
"You can try."
"Fuck you bro."
Kurtis heard his brother laughing then as he started getting off the roof, slipping down to the second story window and getting in, walking down to the ground floor. "Still, I would ask her out soon dude," Kurtis said. "I can make her say to the first date you know. Course, after that, your on your own." Kurtis smirked. He wasn't above using his powers to get a first date, but after that it was to much.
"pass," Kenji said, shutting down that idea anyways. "I knew you would say that," Kurtis replied, laughing as he walked down the stairs, looking at the patio of the big house. He looked up in the sky again, then his watch as it showed 4 in the after noon. "I would get a move on thought," he countered him. He sat down on the bench there, looking around as he waited for his brother to show up.
