Long swords: Blake is exceptionally skilled with a greatsword. He's shown to have exceptional skill while wielding the weapon. His skill has been shown able to fight evenly with monsters twice his size. He was also able to skillfully hold his own even while being in a tight space and or disadvantage. Chiron has even complimented his skill in it's usage. He displays a cool and reserved personality most of the time. He isn’t "flashy" and mostly kept to himself, but doesn't lack a humorous side. Blake is a righteous person who has respect for other people's lives. Regardless of whether they are human or not, he treats everyone equally and strongly despises those who judge and discriminate based on any prejudice. Blake is also an open person and is not afraid to speak his mind, going so far as to indirectly insult a well-known companies in front of one of its members. Blake is shown to be an introvert, as he prefers to be alone. Even in a group, he usually stays to the shadows, excluding himself from conversations. He tends to show no interest in the discussions at hand, especially when he is engrossed in his books. He is extremely fond of books, as he brings a large collection of books with him to camp and reads them frequently. However, he is shown to be more facetious and friendly. He displays a dry wit, stating the obvious or pointing out details in a sarcastic manner, at the expense of other people. Due to his strongly held beliefs, he can also lose his temper if provoked, causing him to speak his mind in the heat of the moment. Blake appears most conversant when discussing the history and plight of his mother. Hometown-- Somewhere in the south History-- Blake is the only child of his father Nicholas Ulrich and his mother Selene. He was born on a cold December night and his name was chosen by father. At the age of 3, he witnessed his mother's "death" as Selene embedded false memories into the boy so he’d think she’d died long ago. A years or so after her 'death', Nicholas raised Blake his son on their farm as it was his father's way of attempting to cope with the lose of his lover Selene. As the years went on his father’s sanity fleeting and eventually left Blake while he was still rather young, he was abandoned by his father and the farm was left to his aunt and uncle who were also his new found legal guardians. Blake soon blamed himself for his father leaving and he felt was nothing more than a grim reminder of why he his father left, thus him feeling he was some sort reasoning for abandoning the 14 year old was in search of the titaness, keeping a distant and estranged relationship from his son only sending a postcard every now and again. This abandonment has caused Blake to have little to no self-esteem and to become very reclusive and avoidant of difficult or painful situations, using escape as a shield. He is often use an old iPod to blocking out the world. Though Blake denies it, he yearns for praise, and he eventually his only reason to keep going is to gain the approval. Due to this, after his father’s leaving, Blake was left feeling empty, as he’d shrinks from human contact, and had one point even convinced himself that he was a completely unnecessary person, so much so that he cannot even commit suicide. He is extremely afraid of being hurt and unsuitable from his abandonment in his adolescents, thus left he was lacking the positive attitude. Now as Blake looks back. Why did he continue to fight? Life only keeps changing, only got harder and harder. He does what he is told because everyone tells him to. Because only he can do it? Because it has to be done to save what little humanity he had left. Selfless and lofty sentiments for sure, and he believed those reasons to be genuine. Wrong; he wanted his father to come back to him. To say he was a good boy to come back for him. That's when it hit him. Why must I keep going for them, when he couldn't even go for myself so.. He ran, he ran away from it all as he was done waiting for something that would never be. A few days after his 15th birthday, he left off and in a short time he made it far, he always felt as he was being watched, never in a negative way, but guiding him threw of his voyage. Blake soon discovered it was Selene guidance. Selene always watched and helped her son make it so far. Soon with her help he was able to find a satyr and able to make it to camp. Now spent a few years at camp he's learned to open up and trust others, with this Blake hopes maybe for more or maybe even love? Who knows he's just happy he was able to find a place where he belongs. He smiled gently. "I wonder what Pa is doing... He said he'd go and find you again, but... Who know's where he went... As long as he's happy... Maybe I'll be happy..." Blake soon stretched.
