Jessi had, more or less, forced him to go the infirmary. He couldn't exactly argue as he was fairly sure she had broken his nose. It looked like hell, bruised, crooked, and caked in dry blood. Perhaps he should've cleaned up a bit before leaving the cabin, catching a few stares while heading over to the big house. It wasn't like it was all that rare to see kids scuffed up at camp. I mean, they were constantly fighting monsters and what not. He just hoped that Dakota would be working. He needed to talk to her. Hopefully she wouldn't punch him in the face too. He wouldn't put it past her, though.

Fortunately or not his sister was indeed in the infirmary. He sauntered in with a grin, plopping down on an open cot. "Sup, Kota. I think my nose is broken," he said with a shrug, kind of pointing out the obvious. If anyone could tell if a nose was fractured it was definitely Dakota. She probably knew from the second he walked through the door. She could tell how he felt too, something that irritated him to no end. His eyes were still slightly red from crying, though he had used his powers to lessen the puffiness. No doubt he was letting off quite a bit of joy, though. Jessi was his and they were going to be a family... To be fair he was shaking from anxiety.

[Dakota King]

It was another day in the infirmary for Dakota. She was constantly on her feet moving around the room checking on all of the patients. She saw that somebody new walked in. She caught them out of the corner of her eye, but ignored them initially, but then she heard them talking. Mickey. Mickey was here in the infirmary. She whipped around and her eyes widened as she the state her brother was in. She rushed over to him, seeing that his nose was broken and was probably had been broken for a little bit judging by the amount of dried blood around it.

"Mickey," she said breathlessly as she started grabbing materials to reset her brother's nose. "How the hell did you break your nose?" She paused for a moment as she noticed that his eyes were red. She narrowed her eyes at him as well. "Have you been crying too?"

Dakota was going to kill him... Well, if he was going out like this he might as well make it fun. Annoying the hell out of his sister wouldn't be the worst way he could die, even if she did murder him. "My girlfriend beat my ass for knocking her up," he said with a shrug as she got straight to work. Dakota was literally always in doctor mode regardless of the situation. It was a valued skill on the field.

"Oh yeah, I asked out that girl I really liked and kinda loved..." he said happily, a slight pink tinge to his cheeks as his stomach fluttered. Jessi was his girlfriend. "Also don't get mad about the pregnancy part. I'm not running off or nothing," he said as if that would ease the inevitable anger. He just knew she'd be angrier if he ditched camp, something that had definitely crossed his mind.

Dakota grabbed more supplies, since she knew resetting a broken nose was nasty business, but her hands stopped as she thought she misheard him. She had to mishear him, because he just said that he... Nope. He totally just knocked up a girl despite her threats not to. She gripped the materials in her hands a little harder as she took in a sharp breath before turning around to glare at her brother. She wanted to beat him up and scream at him for not protecting himself and the girl and it didn't make things better that he was going to be staying with his baby momma. But she couldn't necessarily beat him up while in the infirmary in front of other people.

She jabbed her chin to the cot. "You need to lay down," she said, her words were harsh and were more of a command than a suggestion. There was also a tone to it that clearly said we'll talk about this later. She walked over to him as she put a hand on his shoulder so she could roughly push and lay him down. "We have to reset your nose before it heals this way. Gods know that's not the only damage you've done to yourself."

Yep, she was most definitely pissed. He grinned back at her as she glared, taunting her. She couldn't do anything to him in public. No doubt she'd give him hell later, but for now he could mess with her all he wanted. He did what she said though, plopping down on the cot with his usual carelessness. Her anger was clear in her voice.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've broken it before," he said, forcing a yawn to display his boredom. He had broken it several times, actually. The boy had gotten into many fights when he dropped out of school. The yawn hurt like hell though and he tried to not flinch. "And I haven't done any damage," he said with an eye roll.

Dakota glared at her brother as he seemed to taught her. If he only knew what kind of Hades he got himself into when they got back into their cabin. Dakota was very rough with her brother as she moved him into position to reset his nose. Usually, Dakota was very gentle with patients, but she knew her brother could take her roughness, especially since he deserved it. She grabbed the materials she needed before her hands hovered above his head right at his nose.

“This is going to hurt,” she said flatly before she moved in one quick motion to reset his nose. There was an audible crack, but Dakota didn’t flinch at it. Instead, she started grabbed everything to hold it back in place and stop any bleeding that might’ve started up again.

He was gonna continue to piss her off even more with some witty comment, but he didn't have any time. Her warning gave was like a split second before she snapped his nose back into place. "Fucking shit!" he cussed loudly. She wasn't lying, it hurt like hell. He hadn't remembered it hurting so much before, but no doubt she was being extra rough with him.

"Isn't it some doctor thing to be gentle with the patient?" he growled, holding his nose tenderly as he glared at her. Sure he had screwed up, but he was sort of hoping she'd be more supportive. She was really the only family the boy had ever had and though he'd never admit it, he looked up to her.

“Watch your language,” Dakota snapped at her brother as she finished up setting his nose and making sure it wouldn’t move while it was healing. She was being rough and she didn’t care. Mickey could handle it. She finally pulled away from him as she started grabbing things to clean up the dried blood all around his face. She snapped her head over to him and glared as he talked. “As far as I know, they don’t, but I’m not a doctor, so I don’t have to follow doctor rules.” She cleaned up the dried blood on his face as she continued being rough. After a few moments, she pulled away from him. “Okay, you’re done here.”

He grumbled to himself as she cleaned him up, shooting her dirty looks. "I'd think at least a sister would be more gentle.." he muttered, swinging his legs over the side of the cot. Was she just not going to acknowledge his news? I mean, it was kind of a big deal. Like, the type of news that is life changing.

"So... are you just not gonna say anything about it?" he asked, slightly confused. Maybe she hadn't heard him? Or was ignoring him? Probably the latter knowing Dakota. Hell, he at least expected to be yelled at a bit about responsibility and what not. He was being responsible though in his opinion. He had already taken the step of sticking around for Jessi. That was something, right? He wanted Kota to be proud of him even if he had fucked up.

Dakota rolled her eyes as Mickey muttered something about being more gentle. She turned her back on him to put away her supplies and to basically ignore him. She needed to keep her professional, calm demeanor at work, even if that meant she got a little rough with her siblings whenever they did something stupid. She called it tough love.

She paused what she was doing when Mickey spoke again as she turned to look at him over her shoulder. “Do you want me to say something about it?” she said calmly as she moved to face him fully. “Do you want me to say something about you should’ve used protection with that girl? Or that you managed to knock up a girl? Or that you’re keeping it and you’re both too young to really understand what parenthood is?” She pressed her lips together as she tilted her head to the side as she stared at her brother. “Or do you have a preference of where I start?”

Mickey was a bit taken aback by her words and how cold she was towards him, staring at her wide-eyed. "Kota..." he mumbled, trailing off as his heart seemed to sink into his stomach. He wanted her approval. He wanted her to be happy for him, throw a baby shower or something. He didn't know why he would have expected that from her. He just supposed that she was really the only family he had, the only person that seemed to care until Jessi.

He shook his head, not trusting himself to speak. He didn't dare break the dam with there being the possibility of starting a flood. And what was there to say? He couldn't be upset with her for being pissed at him. That wouldn't be fair. 'Sorry,' he mouthed silently. That did him in, eyes welling up with tears. What if she was right? What if he wasn't ready for this?

Dakota knew she was being harsh with her brother with her words, but she still couldn't believe it. He knocked up a girl after reassuring several times that he was being careful. And he was staying with his baby momma, which was okay for now, but would he stick around after the baby was born? But she saw the look in his eyes and the tears as he mouthed sorry to her.

Dakota softened up a bit as her harsh look fell off of her face. She reached out to place a hand on his knee as she tried to make eye contact with him. "Hey," she said softly as she gently squeezed his knee. "Do you want to talk about it?"

He shook his head quickly, biting his tongue to try and chase off the tears. But he did need to talk about it. He could act all excited for the baby and happy that Jessi was his... but it was all too much for him to handle. The boy had been considering just leaving camp. He had always been good at running away from his problems, and this was certainly a big one. The softness in Dakota's voice made him want to open up though, even if he struggled to form words.

"I'm scared, Kota. I don't know if I can do this." he mumbled, finally meeting her gaze. He wanted to be comforted. It was an odd feeling. The son of Aphrodite had no recollection of ever receiving as much as a hug in the past. He doubted his sister would offer one up, anyways. She'd probably beat his ass if he ditched Jessi at this point. Maybe if he hadn't asked her out and just left instead... It was too late to second guess his choices now. Or was it? He could disappear tonight if he wanted.

Mickey didn't want to talk about it, but Dakota knew better. He probably was going to keep it all bottled up and explode at the last moment and probably go to destructive habits. The last thing Dakota wanted was him to screw up his already pretty messed up life. She kept that hand on his knee as she gently squeezed it, letting him know she was still there for him, even if she snapped at him earlier. She let her temper get the better of her even if she knew better. With cabin leader duties and her brother fathering a child was going to make her life more difficult for the next several months.

But he finally opened up to her and she knew she had to act more like a sister than a nurse at that moment. She moved from the chair right to right beside him on the bed. She took her hand off of his knee as she wrapped her arm around his shoulder to give him a half hug. "Hey," she said softly as he looked at him. "It's okay to be scared. It's a big change and changes are scary, but you'll be alright."

He didn't want to accept the hug. Accepting it meant acknowledging that he needed it, that he was weak. He didn't want to be weak and he didn't want to need anybody. He had been perfectly fine fending for himself for years. Mickey had to come to terms with the fact that he was human and had struggles like any other person. Taking Dakota's hug would be the first step and so he took it, molding into her side like a deflated balloon.

He shook his head at her comforting words, mind coming up with a thousand reasons why they were wrong. At this rate nothing would ever be alright and certainly not him. "I don't wanna be a shitty dad," he mumbled, roughly wiping his eyes with the sleeve us his forearm. He had very little faith in his parental abilities, but he was terrified of becoming his father. It seemed inevitable, a foreboding promise he couldn't break.
