Cheyenne could act professional around Fin despite all these feelings she was feeling. She had done it many times before, but it had to be the alcohol. It had to be out she would be blaming Mac in the morning. She thought she was doing such a great job avoiding looking at him until he tapped her arm. She was a little bit startled as she let her arms unfold as he led her to the bed. She hesitantly sat on the edge as she reached down to take off her heels. She looked up at him as she smiled at him softly. “No, I'm good. Thanks, Fin.” She glanced over at the bed before she looked back at him. “And I think the bed’s big enough if you don't want to exile yourself to the couch.”

When she sat down he sat down beside her, just to make sure she was settling in okay. That was the problem with being such a nice guy, you really did just have good intentions all of the time. But, then she spoke, and she glanced at the bed, then back to him as she suggested that he not bother going to the couch. She actually had a good point, and a small smile broke onto his lips. "Okay," he agreed, not saying anything as he took off his own shoes. "Plus, this way if you're going to throw up I can at least run and get a bucket faster," he teased. Was this real life?

Cheyenne had to laugh and shake her head as she looked down at her feet to remove her heels completely. “Nah, I don't feel nauseous. That might be another story in the morning, but now I'm fine… or at least as fine as you can get when you've been around Mac.” Once her heels were off, she slipped underneath the covers and made herself comfortable on one side of his bed. His bed was really comfortable or she was more tired than she realized, because she let out a big yawn that she had to cover with her hand. “Excuse me,” she muttered as she adjusted the blankets around her.

He was grateful that she didn't feel nauseous for the time being. He tensed up again at the mention of Mac, but only slightly. Why was she bothering him so much right now? He wasn't normally this cold toward a singular person.

Soon, she was under the covers and he followed suit, making sure there was a decent about of distance between. "No problem. Goodnight," he said, laying flat on his back, his hands clasped over his stomach, eyes on the ceiling. He wasn't sure he'd even be able to fall asleep.

Cheyenne didn't notice that Fin was being cold towards the mention of Mac. She knew that the two of them usually didn't get along. But she didn't have that long to worry about it if she did notice. Once she was comfortable with all the blankets, she muttered a goodnight to Fin and soon enough she was passed out. And she slept hard enough that she didn't notice a few hours later that she rolled over in her sleep to curl up next to Fin. She wasn't used to sharing a bed, but Fin was warm and warm felt very nice right then and there.

(Maybe a little bit of both? Idc bit these two are hella adorbs)

Fin was acutely aware of the fact that she had eventually rolled over to curl up next to him. He had fallen asleep, briefly and not deeply, before her touch awoke him. He paused for a moment, looking down at her sleeping face before moving his arm so that it was underneath her, so he could pull her in close to his chest. He didn't take the time to think about what he was doing, he just knew that this was nice and she was soft and warm. He didn't take the time to think that maybe this was a really stupid idea, to snuggle up with her like this, because right now he didn't want to care. He didn't want to bother with actually thinking this through... Which was a very un-Finn like thing to do.

Cheyenne was still asleep when Fin pulled her closer to his chest. She really didn't think anything of it, but she did sigh softly as a slight smile crept onto her lips. He was just as soft and just made her sleep that much better. Cheyenne want one for really cuddling, especially her co-praetor, but she wasn't herself at the moment. Oh sure, the alcohol had worn off and she was going to have a hangover from hell when she woke up, but that didn't matter. Cuddling Fin in her sleep mattered and the cuddling seemed to be something that they both wanted in that moment.

The great thing about being a Demi-God was the nightmares that came while you were sleeping. Some called them dreams, some called them visions, but Fin just flat out called them nightmares. He'd rather be left alone. Especially now, with Cheyenne so close beside him. But no, the nightmares came anyway.

This time they were fuzzy and unclear, which Fin wasn't sure if that was a blessing or a curse. Strange shapes surrounded him and he tried to fight off them all, but he had no power. He had no strength, which was something he wasn't used to. Fin had super strength outside of this dream, and being so defenseless was his worst nightmare.

He didn't realize he was tossing and turning and making pained sounds as if being punched in the gut. His arm tightened around Cheyenne as he started to toss and turn...

Cheyenne didn't dream that night. It might've been because of the alcohol, but she was in a dreamless sleep. Maybe this was why demigods wanted to get drunk. Without dreams, they could actually sleep for once and not be tormented with dreams or visions sent from their parents. Dreams that seemed to be haunting Fin at that moment.

Cheyenne didn't wake up at first. She groaned a bit as Fin tossed and turned and tightened his arm around her. It only took a few minutes for that to wake her up and it wasn't pleasant at all. She really groaned as she felt like she was hit by a bus. Multiple times. She barely opened her eyes to see Fin tossing and turning. It didn't even hit her that she was cuddled up to him until now. Instead, she knew that he was facing a nightmare and she had to wake him up from it. She forgot her headache as she propped onto her elbow and reached over to shake Fin's shoulder. "Fin, Fin," she said as her voice got progressively louder. "Fin! It's just a nightmare. Wake up! FIN!"

Fin felt like someone was shaking him, but he wasn't sure if that was in the dream or not. So, at first, he reached up to push back against her, his hand finding her shoulder. But before he could push (which, if he had she probably would have gone flying across the room) he strained to open his eyes. The strange shapes were still surrounding him but he forced himself not to fight back. Something was wrong... that voice... that voice didn't want to hurt him.

It became clearer and louder, "Fin! It's just a nightmare. Wake up! FIN!" He remembered where he was and he opened his eyes, quickly removing his hand from her shoulder and sitting up, gasping for a moment. He turned toward her to look in her eyes, then at her shoulder, then back at her eyes. "Are you hurt?" he asked severely.

Cheyenne barely registered that Fin reached up to put his hand on her shoulder with every intent to push her off of him. She wasn't concerned that he could easily push her across the room. She wanted to make sure that he was okay. It didn't seem like one of those nightmares he could just easily wake up from, but she had to make sure that he was going to be okay. She had to shake him a couple of times before his eyes opened and he shot up. She moved back slightly as she looked at Fin with wide eyes as her heart pounded. She looked him over to make sure he was okay, but he had to ask if she was okay? Typical Fin.

She smiled slightly at him, her headache forgotten for now as she shook her head. "No. I'm not hurt. What about you? Are you okay?" She looked at him as she raised her eyebrows slightly in concern.

She smiled and he felt like he was sipping hot tea, the warmth running through him, but he still felt horrible. Concerned. She shook her head, though, and said that she wasn't hurt. He let out a breath of relief and she asked if he was okay. "I'm fine. Just a bad dream," he shook his head and turned away, looking toward the door. "I should sleep out on the couch. I don't want to accidentally crush you," it sounded so funny but he said it so seriously that there wasn't even a little bit of humor involved. He turned back to her, "get some rest," then he was standing up.
