I Can Hear the Bells (The Wedding)

John smiled at Achilles and patted his shoulder. "Dude, it's not that many people. Trust me, fashion week is a lot worse. Not getting cold feet, are ya?" Then the processional music started playing and Chiron glanced over at the two before going outside and walking down the isle. "Show time," John whispered to himself as he gently nudged Achilles forward.

Uriel smiled and gave Achilles a thumbs up before grabbing the mic, Uriel took a seat on his own seat, he was on the far right side and the other band members got rid of the Aphrodite girls trying to kill him with kisses. Uriel stepped in front of his piano and he started to play it. He smiled and started to sing.

"A few stolen moments is all that we share
You've got your family, and they need you there
Though I've tried to resist, being last on your list
But no other man's gonna do

Uriel raised his left arm and prolonged the last note. Before pointing at all the crowd, his right hand accompanied by the piano, he quickly placed his hand back and smiled at them, singing again.

Yes I'm saving all my love for you.." Uriel hit the C5 note with all the Aphrodite girls oogling him, Uriel pointed at the aisle, and they waited for the bride.

The nerves hit Daphne full force as Harper pushed her parents into the room. She couldn't believe it. "You ready, sweetheart?" Zeus asked as he grabbed Daphne's arm and Marcia pulled down her veil. "Yeah," Daphne said as she nodded her head. "I am." Daphne really just wanted to run in the other direction, but Marius' words echoed in her head. There's a reason why you said yes. Marcia grabbed onto Zeus' other arm and together all three walked out of the bedroom.

Daphne could feel everyone's eyes on her as they approached the isle. She took a deep breath as she looked at her parents. There's a reason why you said yes. There was no turning back now, unless she wanted to upset a gazillion people. They slowly walked down the isle. Daphne just wanted to run. She didn't care which direction, but this was being agonizingly slow. But finally they reached the alter and Zeus pulled back Daphne's veil and gave her a kiss on the cheek before handing her over to Achilles. "Hi," she whispered to him a bit breathlessly. She couldn't believe it was finally happening.

Achilles was dumbstruck. Daphne just looked so beautiful. He couldn't think of anything to say, not that he could think at all. The son of Demeter at least was able to keep his jaw from dropping as he watched his beautiful bride walked towards. Then Zeus handed her to Achilles and she said hi. "Gods, you're beautiful." He couldn't help but whisper back. The groom had forgotten all about the nerves from before. He smiled at her, waiting for Chiron to start the ceremony itself.

Chiron smiled at the couple and then at the group before starting the ceremony. "Welcome, family, friends and loved ones. We gather here today to celebrate the wedding of Daphne and Achilles. You have come here to share in this formal commitment they make to one another, to offer your love and support to this union, and to allow Daphne and Achilles to start their married life together surrounded by the people dearest and most important to them.

"So welcome to one and all, who have traveled from near and far. Daphne and Achilles thank you for your presence here today, and now ask for your blessing, encouragement, and lifelong support, for their decision to be married."

All of those nerves Daphne was feeling earlier? They were completely gone as soon as her father "gave her away" to Achilles. She knew it was the right thing to do. She no longer wanted to run in the other direction, unless Achilles was with her as her husband. Gods, the word sounded so right in her mind.

"Marriage is perhaps the greatest and most challenging adventure of human relationships. No ceremony can create your marriage; only you can do that – through love and patience; through dedication and perseverance; through talking and listening, helping and supporting and believing in each other; through tenderness and laughter; through learning to forgive, learning to appreciate your differences, and by learning to make the important things matter, and to let go of the rest. What this ceremony can do is to witness and affirm the choice you make to stand together as lifemates and partners.

"Will you, Achilles, take this woman to be your wedded wife?"

Daphne smiled at Achilles as she squeezed his hand. She still couldn't believe that they've come this far since that fateful day at the beach.

"I will." Achilles said without any hesitation. He smiled at his bride and couldn't help but want this to be over, so he could call her his wife. The groom squeezed the love of his life's hand. It was actually a miracle that he had heard Chiron at all. He was so focused on Daphne. Achilles ignored everything else as he watched about the most important thing in the world to him.

Daphne smiled at Achilles' I will. She was also focused on him that she almost missed Chiron's "Will you, Daphne, take this man to be your wedded husband?" Her smile grew bigger on her face as she said, "I will." Chiron nodded at the couple as he continued with the ceremony.

"Two people in love do not live in isolation. Their love is a source of strength with which they may nourish not only each other but also the world around them. And in turn, we, their community of friends and family, have a responsibility to this couple. By our steadfast care, respect, and love, we can support their marriage and the new family they are creating today.

"Will everyone please rise?

"Will you who are present here today, surround Achilles and Daphne in love, offering them the joys of your friendship, and supporting them in their marriage?" There was a murmur of agreement as Daphne's smile grew wider. No one wanting to crash their wedding. That was good, right? "You may be seated.

"We've come to the point of your ceremony where you're going to say your vows to one another. But before you do that, I ask you to remember that love – which is rooted in faith, trust, and acceptance - will be the foundation of an abiding and deepening relationship. No other ties are more tender, no other vows more sacred than those you now assume. If you are able to keep the vows you take here today, not because of any religious or civic law, but out of a desire to love and be loved by another person fully, without limitation, then your life will have joy and the home you establish will be a place in which you both will find the direction of your growth, your freedom, and your responsibility.

"Please now read the vows you have written for each other. " Daphne squeezed Achilles' hand more as she smiled widely at him. They were so close. Just their vows and the exchanging of rings before their first kiss as husband and wife. Daphne was getting chills just thinking about it.

Achilles could feel his smile grow wider as he heard her say I will. He didn't really hear what Chiron was saying, and nearly jumped when John poke him in the ribs to remind him to say his vow. The swordsman smiled at Daphne and began to read the vow he had written and memorized.

In your soul, I have found my mate.
With you, I am whole, full, alive.
You make me laugh. You let me cry.

Achilles poured his heart into those words. He loved this woman more than anything else in the world and couldn't believe that he was lucky enough to have her for himself. The son of Demeter held her hands in his own as he told her in the best words he could just what she was to him.

Daphne felt the tears starting to well up in her eyes as Achilles said his vow. But she couldn't cry now. She wasn't sure if Harper put water-proof mascara on her or not. She took a big, shaky breath as she looked into Achilles' eyes and said her vow.

"You are my inspiration and my soul's fire.
You are the magic of my days.
You help me laugh, you teach me love.
You provide a safe place for me, unlike I've ever known.
You free me to sing my own song.
You are more of an amazement to me, each day I rediscover you.
You are my greatest boon.

I am yours.
You are mine.
Of this we are certain.

She smiled even wider than before as she finished her vow. Only a couple more minutes until this was over and they were husband and wife. Chiron smiled at the couple as he looked at the monkey ring bearer. "May I have the rings, please?" Shogun quickly walked over with the ring pillow and presented it to the couple. Chiron smiled as they grabbed each other's ring and said, "Please repeat after me: I give you this ring, as a daily reminder of my love for you."

Achilles smiled as he repeated the words Chiron had said. He slipped the ring onto her finger and knew that he had never felt happier about this than right now. The son of Demeter watched his bride's face as he slipped the ring onto her finger. He felt even happier as he watched her face.

[Daphne Scotts]

Daphne face lit up as she watched Achilles put the ring on her finger. She then proceeded to grab his left hand and started to slip on the ring. "I give you this ring, as a daily reminder of my love for you." Her face lit up even more as she watched Achilles' reaction. They were so close. All there was left was... "By the power of your love and commitment, and the power vested in me," Chiron said as he beamed at the couple, "I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may now kiss!" Daphne couldn't wait for Achilles to lean over to kiss her. Instead, she got up on her tip-toes to pull him into a deep kiss. Finally, they were married.

Achilles kissed her back with a passion. His mind forgot about everything other than the beautiful woman who was now his wife. He didn't think about anything as he pulled her to him. After the kiss, he smiled down at his wife. "I love you." He whispered. The son of Demeter didn't bother looking at anyone else as he said the next part with joy. "My wife."

"I love my husband," Daphne whispered back to him with the biggest smile on her face. She just loved how the word felt in her mouth. She turned to face the audience and pulled Achilles to face the same direction too as Chiron announced, "And now I present to you, Mr and Mrs. Bandara." And they were supposed to walk down the isle hand in hand as husband and wife, but walking was too slow. Instead, Daphne picked up her dress with one hand and tugged on Achilles' hand with the other as she took off down the isle. She was excited to start her new life as the wife to the love of her life.

Achilles laughed as Daphne pulled him along. He hurried along after as best he could. The son of Demeter loved what Chiron had called her, Mrs. Bandara. He thought about the first time he had been to this town with Daphne. How he had told his dad about her. I'm going to have to visit him when we get back.

Daphne giggled as she ran inside the house with Achilles and into the bedroom. The next two hours were for guests to transport themselves to the hotel ballroom and for the bride and groom to get their wedding pictures done. However, since there wasn't going to be rice-throwing because of the birds and the photographer only took about an hour, Daphne decided they needed some alone time. She shut the door behind them and jumped on her husband as she gave him a very passionate kiss. "I missed you last night, Mr. Bandara," she said between very ragged breaths as she pulled away. "I missed you very much."
