Sand in February (Cody)

[Harper Jones]

Harper decided for some reason today that she needed to visit the beach, which was one of the most ridiculous decision of her life. It was cold, since it was February and the ocean breeze was also cold. She wrapped her jacket closer to herself as she sat on the sand. There was just something about the waves crashing onto the shore and the horizon that was calming to her.

Cody heard from harpers siblings that she was at the beach. After being forced home to see davin, even if he missed er, he would rather be with harper. He smirked when he saw her and snuck up behind her, seeing her wrap her jacket more and pulled her into a hug from behind. "Hey there cutie."

Harper squealed a bit as she was suddenly hugged from behind. She glanced over her shoulder to see it was her boyfriend and started giggling. "Hey there, handsome," she said as she pecked him on the cheek. "I've missed you. How was home?"

Cody chuckled softly and sat down, pulling her up on his lap. He smiled softly and kissed her forehead. "good but not good since i couldn't bring you. I don't know if i can bring davein back though. She doesn't want to come." he said and pulled her in tighter. He missed her too much.

Harper sighed as she hugged Cody and rested her head on his shoulder. "She'll be fine," she said as she glanced up at him. "Stop worrying so much, okay? You have older sibling-itis, but, thankfully, it is easily curable." She giggled again as she picked her head up again and pecked him on the cheek again. "She's going to be fine at home, okay?"

Cody groaned annoyingly then smirked down at her. "Fine fine..." he mumbled into her hair and kissed the top of hes head again. "Well How has my Harper been? I Hope she hasn't been getting in any trouble, like i know she had" He said and smirked at her, wrapping her arms around her and grabbing her hands, locking their fingers.

"A lot better now that you're here," she said with a smirk as she pecked him on the cheek. There was no way she was going to mention what happened to her dad. That was too sad to bring up now. "And I haven't gotten in that much trouble. Just a few fights here and there, but nothing Chiron's punished me for." She smiled as she rested her forehead against his. "So how have you been lately? I swear it's been a while since we've last seen each other."

"I've been good." he said softly as he wrapped tighter around her. He missed her so much he couldn't help it. "And i'm glade you haven't got into to much trouble." He said and gave her a quick peck on the lips before he dug his head into her neck. "did i ever tell you i love you." he mumbled and kissed her cheek again before smirking at her. "And how have you been."

Harper giggled as Cody buried his head into her neck. "Well," she said between giggles, "I love you too." She loved it. It was definitely a phrase she didn't take for granted, especially the amount of heartbreak it originally put her through. Then he asked her how she was and couldn't help but be a little sad when she thought about her dad. She sighed as she rested her head on his shoulder. "I haven't been the greatest lately," she finally admitted to him. She took a couple of deep, shaky breaths as she glanced up at him. "Things are rough at home right now... long story short, my dad got into an accident and now... now he's in a coma..."

Cody was shocked to hear about her dad. Damn it. he was the worst boyfriend. She was hurt and he wasn't there, he had been to worried about his sister. He shook his head, his arms pushing her into his chest, holding her close. "harps...I'm so sorry.. I should have been here for you.." he mumbled softly, kissing her forehead again. He refused to let go right now, He was worried about her, he knew her problems with her family, but she still loved them.

Harper tried so hard not to break down and cry into her boyfriend's arms, but she did. She pulled herself closer to him as she sobbed into his shirt. She hated that she was put in this situation because of her dad. All she wanted for him to get better, but that would've taken a miracle to do so. She didn't know what else to do but cry into his shirt. That seems to be the only thing she could do lately.

Cody shhed her softly as she dried into his shirt, his hand gently rubbing up and down her back. It hurt her to see this like this. He couldn't even take it, He wanted to fix all her problems. Hades, if he had the chance, he would switch with her dad to see her smile again. He couldn't stand it. "shh. Harps...Its alright, I've got you.." he said softly as he kissed her head again. "I'm not leaving again."

It took a couple of minutes before Harper could really calm down again. She took deep, shaky breaths before she looked up at him again. She really didn't care that her cheeks were tear-stained and her eyes were red and puffy. She looked worse before, especially with some of the damage Uriel did to her. "Thanks," she said as she leaned up to kiss him on the lips. "I love you," she murmured as she barely pulled her lips away from his.

Cody smiled softly down at her, rubbing her tears off her cheeks and kissed her softly for a second, before pulling back, laying his forehead on her. "Love you too he said, her tears bothering him. He hated seeing her hurt like this. He kissed her again, making it a deeper kiss, pulling her closer in his chest, not wanting to let her go.

Harper wrapped her arms around Cody's neck as she kissed him back. She hated feeling like this. The last time she felt like this was when she thought he was gone. But now he was here and she was still feeling the same, except this time with her father. All she needed right now was his love and comfort, which he was displaying. She pulled him a little closer as she deepened the kiss a little bit more.
