[Harper Jones]

Harper was not prepared for the dropkick at all. He hit her in the chest, but she managed to grab his legs somewhat so that she pulled him down too. She landed hard on her back and looked up at Rayne. He had really pretty blue eyes and Harper's heart skipped a beat. Oh gods... No, Harper, no. Think of Cody! CODY! She rolled out from under him as she stood up and took a defensive position. "C'mon," she said with a smirk while trying to play it cool. "Show me what you got."

she was just full of surprises. he wasnt expecting the grab and he fell over on top of her. he managed to stop himself from completely falling on her but something seemed to stop before she got out from under him. he was on one knee when she continued. he scoffed and stood up walking over to her. he had to check for something so he hit her blade out of the way before stepping inside her circle right up to her. he stared into her eyes for a second and leaned in closer before suddenly pushing her back lightly.

Harper was in an internal battle and it sucked. Because she was with Cody and she loved him, but rarely saw him. And then there was Rayne and he was new, but he was a Zeus. She was a bit shocked that he pushed her sword away and got up on her face. She felt her girly tendencies kicking in, but she had to shake herself. She was in a middle of a battle. Then he leaned in closer to her and she glanced at his lips once as she looked him in the eyes. He had really pretty blue eyes. Then she was caught off-guard and stumbled back a couple of feet. "What the Hades..." she muttered under her breath as she grabbed her sword with both hands, waiting to see what else he'd do.

so he was right about what the stop was. he took a deep breath and watched as she gripped her sword. she definitely was rather interesting and she confused him, but he definitely wanted more. he sighed and put his sword away. "i surrender." he shrugged at her and turned away, walking over to one of the benchs. "i dont feel like fighting anymore." that wasnt the truth though. he loved fighting he didnt know why he stopped.

"What?" Harper said as she relaxed from her stance. "You're surrendering?" She rolled her eyes. She couldn't believe it. Zeus boy whimps out of a fight. Figures. She sighed loudly as she marched over to one of the dummies and started attacking it. It wasn't to the point where she was mauling it and her brother would have to remind her that they weren't cheap to replace. However, it was taking a bit of damage from her.

he raised an eyebrow from the bench. "upset that much? you can come over here and talk to me about it?" he wasnt pulling that grinning crap that he did back in sparta whenever he was trying to 'hit on' someone. he was actually serious. he stood up and undid his jacket throwing it over the back of the bench before sitting back down. "not only if the dummy were alive i think begging for mercy would be long gone....it would want its misery ended..."

Harper glanced over at Rayne before she looked at her dummy. It did look pretty beaten up, even more so with her sword. She sighed loudly before she stabbed it one final time before pulling it out to sit next to him. She tossed her sword onto the ground in front of her before putting her head in her hands. "My life is a mess," she mumbled before she glanced up at Rayne. "A complete mess."

he watched the sword clutter on the ground and turned his head back to Harper. his face was completely apologetic.I know what thats like. my lives have been a complete mess.... he rubbed his hands together and leaned over so his elbows were resting right above his knees. "How so?" he put his hand on her back, trying to help her feel better.

Harper really didn't know what to think about Rayne's hand on her back. She had to keep mentally reminding herself that she had Cody, her boyfriend. However, he wasn't here supporting her through her tough time. She understood he was busy with whatever, but she needed him. It basically felt like that time when he was taken by Arachne. She sighed as she looked up at Rayne. "My dad's in the hospital and he's not doing too well." No need to mention that he was in a coma. That would upset her even more.

he frowned, not only trying because he was trying to help but also because he was wondering why people can come up with a thing like tv but not be able to fix comas. he had been staring at the ground for a couple seconds before he realized he left it silent. he turned his head and stared at her. "are you okay?" he raised his eyebrows.

Harper didn't know why that simple question hit her so hard. Maybe because nobody else asked her that when they found out. It was the usual Is there anything I can do? or Is everything alright? Nobody asked her how she was doing. So it was a bit a surprise when the tears welled up in her eyes as she shook her head. "No," she whispered. "I'm really not okay."

the reaction came rather quickly so he moved closer and put his arm around her trying to help. this timeline was definitely weird. he figured whenever he found out who brought him back he was gonna hit them...with his shield. after a couple of seconds he lifted his sleeve and dabbed her eyes. "your gonna get all puffy and if that happens there wont be this cute face to look at." he looked into her eyes. "we live in a world with gods and demi-gods im sure we can try and find someone or something to help him."

Harper should've brought herself to say it. That she had a boyfriend. A boyfriend named Cody who she loved. But she couldn't say it. She didn't know why, but she couldn't. He was hitting on her not knowing she was already someone's girlfriend, but he had really pretty blue eyes. She giggled a bit as she brushed the tears off her cheeks as she sniffed. "I guess I could talk with Chiron and see if I can get the Apollo kids to help me or something..."

he smiled when she giggled. his smile widened when she said she would talk to chiron. "i might join you in that later since i have something i want to talk to him as well. also so i can make sure you dont trick me or something like you did in that fight. what was with that leg grab? where did you learn that?" he chuckled and his smile shrunk a little meek one.

Harper giggled a bit as she rolled her eyes. She looked at him and batted her eyelashes a bit. "It's instinct," she told him with a slight giggle in her voice. "I mean, I have two brothers at home and I fought them a lot. You just kinda learn to improvise during a fight, because you never know what your opponent is going to throw at you. Plus I've been on a couple of quests. They're sorta learning experiences too."
