Why they should be a traitor-his father has tricked him
Why they switched sided - his father perses knows what kind of man Cael is so he wont say no to a gift from his family and wont go without returning the favor. to make it easier the sword Cael was given is slowly corrupting him and making him more and more violent.

Why they switched sided -Achilles took an offer from enemy forces. They had promised him that if he helped the enemy, they would bring back his father. He took the deal and is now working voluntarily for the enemy.
