Gonna Get Caught (Harper/Xenos/Charlotte)

[Harper Jones]

Harper followed Xenos's two conditions that he set for her in order to come back to camp: She waited until the following night and that he was with her. That didn't mean, however, that she was used to shadow-traveling. She stumbled a bit and leaned against him as she blinked a couple of times. It suddenly got darker than before until she realized that trees were blocking the sky. They were in the forest. "Good," she said with a slight smirk as she grabbed his hand. "We can do the goodbyes here." She then reluctantly started to lead him to the place Jethro was planted. She felt the tears watering up in her eyes as she knew this was probably the last time she'd see him in a long while.

[Xenos Dhar]

Xenos caught Harper as she stumbled a bit after shadow-traveling. His eyes swept over the forest around them, seeing no one. A slight smile crossed his face when she smirked, but it was more for her sake than anything else. He was nervous being this far behind enemy lines with no back up while he was protecting her, and he knew she was having a hard time with her goodbyes. The son of the night followed her through the forest. He could easily see the tears forming in her eyes, but didn't say anything about it. It was already hard enough for her to deal with this right now.

[Charlotte Low]

Life had been on edge for Charlotte since this whole battle thing, mostly talking with the other cabin leaders and making plans and watching the boarders with a few of her siblings. Tonight was her shift and she made her way quietly through the forest when she heard rustling, drawing her bow back tight as she peeked through the darkness. She could make out two figures in a clearing in front of her, she could heard them barley talking while she watched. She didn't wait long before she came out from behind the tree moving forward to see the two. "Stay where you ar-HARPER" She said and looked at her best friend then at Xenos before aiming the arrow at him "Give me one good reason not to shoot you for taking my best friend and showing your ugly face here again"

[Harper Jones]

Everything was going quite well and Harper was pretty sure that she could say goodbye to Jethro, grab a few more of her things, and then leave without anyone knowing she was here. However, that wasn't going to happen when someone jumped in front of them wielding a bow. Harper screamed as she jumped back slightly and gripped Xenos's hand tighter. However, she recognized the person.

"Charlotte?" she said, half shocked as she stood there with her mouth wide open. She wanted to go hug her best friend, but there was a problem. She was aiming an arrow right at Xenos. "No!" she said loudly as she stepped right in between Xenos and the arrow. She moved her hand so she interlocked her fingers with his, probably making it more obvious to Charlotte. "He helped me, Char." Her voice got quieter as she softly pleaded with her best friend. "He helped me in ways the camp couldn't. He honestly saved me, Char. Don't shoot him."

[Xenos Dhar]

Xenos jumped when he heard Charlotte's voice. A spear was half formed from the shadows as he turned towards the voice and found an arrow pointed right at his face. Damn, this could be going better. He thought just before Harper had stepped in between him and the arrow. A panic rose up inside of him as she started talking to her friend. The primordial child was not likely that the arrow was no longer pointed at him. He looked around, moving the shadows around behind Char to hopefully get the weapon away from her.

[Charlotte Low]

Shocked crossed her face as she looked at her vest friend, finding herself lowing her bow a little, but quickly raising it back up, making sure it wasn't pointed at harper but a small spot towards his shoulder. "How do I know he hasn't brain washed you again" Charlotte said in almost a growl. She was glade she found Xenos herself, she wanted to be the one to send a arrow up his butt for all he has done to the camp. She noticed he moved and she tighten her grip as she lowered her bow. She wanted to do everything in her bow to get harper away from him but he had a advantage over her right now.

"You have two minutes to talk xenos before the other guards show up." she lied with a straight face. "You better start talking if you don't want the camp to know your back" She said and turned, finding him in the shadows "You better as hades take this one offer because it's for harper and that's all I owe you for helping her." She really just couldn't see her friend right now, it would hurt to see her like this, trusting this, this traitor.

Harper's heart broke a little bit when Charlotte questioned whether or not she was brainwashed. She knew most people didn't trust Xenos for all he did, but she did and that was all that mattered, right? "Because I would be acting different, Char," she said as she slowly nodded her head as she looked at her friend. "When I had that ring, I was acting different and I didn't remember a thing. That's not the case now. You know it's not." She squeezed Xenos's hand as she glanced over her shoulder up at him. Then she turned around to look at her best friend before she took a deep breath. "But we really need to talk, Char. I'm not coming back to camp... I can't..."

Xenos barely stopped himself at wincing from Charlotte's words. She did have a point in not trusting him and knew that she wouldn't believe anything he said to her, so he stayed quiet for now. He hid them all from sight though, using his powers over the shadows to make sure no other guards could find them. He squeezed Harper's hand before pulling her lightly to his side and away from the bow and arrow pointed at him. The son of the night tried to be subtle about it, not wanting her to realize that he was moving her while she was distracted.

[Charlotte Low]

Charlotte literally sat there with her mouth hanging open, her fist clenched tight. "What are you talking about Harper, Why won't you come back" she said as she lowed her bow slightly towards her feet. What in the hades had they done to her? "Harper Do you have any idea what they have done to camp!? All the pain they caused everyone." She said starting to get angry now. She would pick this traitor over her family, the camp? "Do know what your cabin has been doing without you? Freaking the hades out. He-" she said pointing to Xenos, her eyes totally cold now "He is the reason Cody is dead, and you want to side with him!" She sighed for a moment before putting her arrow away., taking a calming breath. Ha nope, she swung her bow like a bat towards Xenos head. She was taking this into her hands.

"And camp hasn't helped me at all!" she yelled at her friend. She immediately regretted it, but Char needed to know more. "I was hurting over there with everything that was going wrong in my life and nobody was helping before it was too late. I can't go back there, Char... because Xenos isn't welcomed back..." She took a couple of shaky breaths before she noticed that she wasn't standing in front of Xenos anymore when Charlotte took a swing at him. She screamed as she went to tackle her friend to the ground so she couldn't hurt Xenos more.

Xenos smiled slightly when Harper said the reason she wouldn't go back was because of him. The Charlotte was swinging the bow at his head and Harper had dived at her friend. He moved as fast as he could, wrapping an arm around Harper's waist as he stepped forward and pulled her out of the way and raised his other hand to stop the bow mid swing. He winced when it slapped against his hand, feeling a jolt of pain shoot up his arm as it made contact. He grabbed the bow then and wrapped shadows around it and his fist, so that it couldn't be pulled from his grasp.

Charlotte just glared at her friend while she turned her attention to Xenos, literally growling at him. She was being furious right now. "Let.Go.Of.The.Bow", well if he valued being considered male he would let go of it. She turned back to her friend, not being able to fight a hurt look. She, her best friend, was willing to turn against her for this kid. This same kid that she hated months before, that was the reason her ex was dead, the reason that camp was in danger. "I would think you would have enough of cowering anymore harps, I guess I was wrong. Then again your not the harper that was my best friend." she said coldly before, trying to pull her bow back. She needed to go get the nearest camper, maybe Chiron before they left.

Harper's attempt of tackling her friend to the ground when Xenos reached out to wrap an arm around her waist to pull her back. But she immediately wished he didn't when she heard the next words coming out of her best friend's mouth. Ex best friend, that is. "You're not the Charlotte who's supposedly my best friend!" she yelled back at her. Her face hardened as her vision started turning red around the edges. "My best friend would've realized how effed up my life was and tried to help me fix it! But you didn't! Nobody did! Only Xenos and that's why I'm going with him!" She struggled out of his grasp as she went to go punch the person who was her best friend right in the nose.

Xenos was actually about to let go of the bow when Charlotte started just ripping into her friend. He turned to look at Harper's face to see what her reaction was to those words. When she stated yelling back at the daughter of Apollo, he shifted to get a better hold on Harper, but that didn't work. She struggled free of his grasp just as he had moved, and he could only watch as she ran forward to punch Charlotte, surprising him with the act of aggression. The primordial child stood there, watching and unsure of what to do. "Uh..." He started to say, uncertain on what he was actually planning on saying.

A sharp pain shot though her nose as char grasped it, feeling blood spilling out on to her hand. Definitively bruised at least. She shook her head, she wasn't gonna show pain. She didn't deserve it, this harper didn't deserve to see how broken that made her, not just physically. This stupid goddess stole her best friend. If they weren't immortal she would be dead in a heart beat. She just straighten her back up and whipped her bloody nose. "come on Harps you know i can stand more then that."

She was lost now. She had lost harper completely and she wasn't sure who was talking any more but all she knew was that she didn't deserve to leave this camp anymore. Not free at least. She was traitor and soon to be war prisoner. Maybe if chiron held her whatever was going on between her and this xenos kid could cause them to back down in the war. She looked over at him and gave him a quick smirk "What cat got your tongue?"
