Gonna Get Caught (Harper/Xenos/Charlotte)

[Harper Jones]

Harper was stunned for a moment as she looked down at her fist. She really just punched her best friend in the nose. She hurt someone again with her rashness and it was hurting her more than what the simple punch did to her hand.

Then she heard the snide remark from her former best friend and she glared up at her since she got the feeling that they lost the title of besties after the punch. "Can you stand more than that?" she hissed at the girl in front of her. "I've taken way more than that and I broke, Char. You don't want to break too. It sucks and that's why I had to leave not that you'd understand." She gave her one last pointed glare before she turned back to Xenos and grabbed his hand. "Let's go," she muttered as she glanced over her shoulder at Charlotte. "I still need to say goodbye to people I like."

[Xenos Dhar]

Xenos snapped his fingers and shadows moved to stop both girls from leaving. He looked at them both and sighed. "Wow, you two. You're almost as big a headache as that damn kraken was." His hand moved to rub his forehead. "Harper, stop this. This is something you need to take care of. This will be just another problem, if you don't talk to her." The son of the night turned to Charlotte and raised an eyebrow at her. "And what about you? Your best friend was in pain, and you didn't even help her. I found her curled up in her room and crying. I was the only who noticed the pain she was in and you get mad at her?"

[Charlotte Low]

She sighed as that stupid shadow came in front of her. "You just love throwing your powers around" she mumbled under her breath. She listen to him and just tightened her fist, trying not to launch herself at him. "Your saying that I'm a bad friend I am guessing. You think I would have let her be like that if I knew? Hell no." She basically growled at the Nyx kid, not liking she was stuck explaining herself to him of all people. He wasn't some therapist. "I had things to do, I couldn't just sit there and mop like she did, I had to get my cabin ready for you and your attacks, while trying to get a life out of camp." she said and looked over at her old best friend "and I'm guessing you never heard about that." It was true though, she hadn't sen her best friend till now since she had gotten back from Boston.

"So to answer you Xenos" she said turning back to him "I'm not the only one who hasn't been there." It just hurt to think about that, but it was true. She and harper hadn't really seen each other in forever. Hades, since her and John broke up, did she even know?

[Harper Jones]

Harper mentally cursed Xenos. Why couldn't he just let her leave and just drop it? She just wanted to get out of this situation and away from her ex-best friend as fast as she could, but that wasn't clearly going to happen.

She glanced over at Charlotte as she immediately felt guilty. True, they hadn't seen each other at all since Charlotte got back from Boston, but Harper was facing her own issues. It was about the point where she was being whipped into shape after her path of destruction. Her eyes started watering up as she pressed her trembling lips together. She gripped Xenos's hand a little harder as she tried to steady herself. "I'm sorry," she whispered as she closed her eyes. She took very ragged, shaky breaths as she tried to will herself not to break down and completely cry. "I'm so sorry that I'm..." She didn't let her sentence finish as she choked back a sob.

[Xenos Dhar]

Xenos winced when he saw Harper's face. It looked like she was about to cry and he felt extremely guilty for putting her in a position that would make her feel that bad. He squeezed her hand, hoping that would reassure her a little bit. "Look, both of you need to quiet down. Now while I can guarantee that no one can see us, if they actually hear us without seeing us, what do you think they will assume is going on? I'd rather not get anyone shot today. Now you two obviously need to talk some things out, but either come with us Charlotte to see exactly why your friend is with me right now or quiet down."

[Charlotte Low]

A stunned expression crossed her face, before her eyes narrowed at xenos. She would deal with harper first thought, she decided. She had no clue what to say so she didn't, instead she did what they use to do best and communicate with a look. She just gave her a small half smile with a shrug, basically letting her know she was forgiven. They both made mistakes, they could get pass that, but her look turned cold as she turned back to Xenos.

"Listen here you traitor. You will not tell me what to do, How Harper trust someone like you I don't quiet comprehend but You are in My camp. Not your. You will do as I say, I don't take orders from you" she spat out, she might as well been shooting venom at the kid, that would have made her feel better then just words. Arrows would have been preferred but now was not the time. She gave him a smug smirk as she crossed her arms "And I would happily be that one to shot you, and thanks for the invite but I think a slumber party at the enemy camp is a bad idea if you ask me, I'll talk to harper right here, and only here."

Harper couldn't help but smile back when she saw Charlotte's look. Relief flooded her body. She was forgiven and they could be still friends. That was the best thing that she could have asked for. She sobered up a bit before she glanced between Charlotte and Xenos. Clearly, there was still some hostility between those two. She was about to suggest them walking further into the forest so she could be close to Jethro. However, she didn't want their fighting and hostility around the tree. She remained silent for a bit as she glanced between the two. She had no idea if she should step in or not, but decided to just let them hopefully work it out on their own.

[Xenos Dhar]

Xenos smiled as he watched the silent exchange between the two girls, happy that was out of the way. His relief was short lived as Charlotte started to rip into him. He glared when he was called a traitor, not liking that at all. He didn't deny it though. "Go ahead. Shoot me." The son of the night seemed unconcerned by the possibility of getting shot again. "Do it. I don't care if you do. I deserve it. I attacked your home and hurt your friends. Though not one of you knows my motives for doing this again, not that they matter to you guys anyways. You're all so merciless that you wouldn't spare us at this point anyways. Just like your parents."

[Charlotte Low]

Anger just boiled inside her chest, and she could feel her face heating up. How dare he? After all this, how dare he even say that! She just wanted to honestly give him a nice kick somewhere the sun doesn't shine but she kept herself from doing so with a short sigh. She was still seeing red though.

"Us? Merciless?" she said was a short sarcastic laugh "Says the one who attacked us first. The one that started this whole war" she spat out at him before turning away and looking at harper. She didn't quiet understand how she could want to join them, after all they started. This war needed to be over soon, really soon. Life needed to be normal, maybe if just for once.

Even though everything between Charlotte and Harper were finally okay once more, they clearly not okay between Charlotte and Xenos. Harper winced a bit as she heard the harsh words being thrown out at each other. But they were saying something that

"I don't think that is the case, Charlotte," Harper finally butted in as her voice quavered a bit. She took a deep breath as she shook her head. "I've been on the other side and this war was not unprovoked...." She licked her lips as she glanced up at Xenos before looking at her best friend. "Apparently for a while Primordial children have been hunted down at camp and the gods were getting mad... and they have reason to believe that they think that the camp is doing it..." She closed her eyes as she shook her head. "I don't want to believe it myself, but the evidence... the evidence is overwhelming..."

[Xenos Dhar]

Xenos looked at Charlotte to see her reaction about this latest revelation. "I've caught campers attacking Primordial children way before this war ever started, Charlotte, and I have the necklaces to prove it." He said in a low voice. This was a piece of information that he didn't want getting around. "The campers you say are so innocent have been hunting down my troops for years, and we would have been wiped out if I hadn't of done all this. I'm not innocent, but I haven't doing this for no reason at all." The son of the night told her.

[Charlotte Low]

Charlotte just shook her head while looking between the two, glaring mostly at Xenos "Evidence? Oh I'm sure whatever he had to show you was 100 percent true. Not like he hasn't ever hurt anyone to get his way. Not that he couldn't be lying." she said, feeling her hand tighten around her bow, her knuckles turning white. All she could think anymore was the people they had hurt, the people she had hear who had been forced to work for them, against their will. She didn't believe anything that he said.

"So what. You deserve to be hunted. hell I would cheer if Artemis Hunted your kind like nothing more then bunny rabbits." she growled at him. "And honestly I'm tried of your presence in my home so you can leave now with out arrows in your body or leave with lot of them. Your choice."

[Harper Jones]

Harper thought that something was actually going to go right for once during this encounter, but no. If anything, she felt hurt. She understood why Charlotte didn't trust him, because, at one point in time, she didn't trust him either. However, couldn't she see that he wasn't the same Xenos that attacked the camp all those months before his death? That hurt Harper more than anything.

Tears watered up in her eyes more as she tightened her grip on his hand more as she pulled him off towards the side. "Fine," she said as she got a little choked up. "We'll just leave then... It was nice seeing you Char." Then the looked up at Xenos. "C'mon. I still have more goodbyes to say...."

Xenos gave a short nod and didn't say anything else. He felt too mad to not say something stupid, so he just kept his mouth shut. His eyes showed just how angry he was though as he let the shadows hiding them fall away. It crossed his mind to shout for someone to come see Charlotte consorting with the enemy after what she had said about primordials being hunted, but decided against it, not wanting to do anything to directly or indirectly hurt Harper. He gripped her hand a bit more firmly before turning away from the daughter of Apollo and letting Harper lead him to their next destination.
