A sob shook Lucy's chest as she continued trying to run out of the amphitheater. Her shoes were slowing her down though and as she reached the door, she took a moment to lean against the frame and unzip her boots, kicking them off as she started running blindly again.

The daughter of Hermes didn't know where she was going or where she wanted to be. She didn't want to go back to her cabin in case one of her brothers were there because she didn't feel like explaining that she was upset because the guy she liked was gay. The tears in her eyes kept her from seeing where she was going, only allowing her time to dodge things in her path.

The ground beneath her feet turned from soft grass to hard pressed dirt and twigs as she found that she couldn't breath from a mixture of her running and sobbing. Lucy doubled over, clutching her stomach as another sob wracked her body.

She couldn't run anymore, she could barely breath, let alone move. Instead, Lucy lent back against a tree, sliding down until she was crouched in a ball at the base of the tree. Her arms still wrapped around her stomach, her forehead resting against her knees. She felt stupid, her heart ached while her mind wondered absently where Ethan was. Usually if she even feeling just slightly sad he would come find her. Now, nothing. Lucy was all alone in the forest.

"Hello," Xenos said as he stepped out of the shadows, holding Harper's hand while he looked down at Lucy. He kept Harper close to himself, almost as if he was afraid to let her get too far away from himself. His eyes seemed concerned, but it was hard to figure out if it was for the girl crying in front of him or the same reason why he kept Harper close. "What's the matter, little one?" The son of the night asked softly as he knelt down and looked at Lucy a bit more closely, wondering if he could get a hint about why she was in this state.

Harper really didn't understand why Xenos insisted that she go everywhere with him, not that she really minded. She didn't really want to leave him since she just found great comfort in him. Most of the nightmares she had about Cody's death were basically gone.

He pulled her out of the shadows to see a girl breaking down sobbing at a base of the tree. Harper was in a position similar to this only weeks ago, she felt only sympathy towards her. She let go of Xenos's hand and shot him a look as he called her little one. She looked back down at the girl before she sat down beside her and pulled her into a hug. "It's okay," she said as she started rubbing a soothing hand on the girl's back. "It's alright. Just let it all out."

Lucy had been so absorbed in trying to slow her sobbing and making her heart stop aching that she hadn't realised that people had joined her. Her head snapped up, a look of surprise and embarrassment mingled on her face as she quickly tried to wipe her tears away. She didn't know either the boy or girl, but was so upset that she didn't actually care.

"Nothing." The daughter of Hermes answered the boy's question automatically, though the effect was ruined by the way her voice caught. She shot a suspicious look at the girl as she wrapped her arms around her, before finally giving in to the warm feeling of a hug.

Xenos almost flinched back from the look Harper shot him. It was probably justified, but he had his own reasons for not trying to get too close to the girl after his own experiences at camp Half-Blood. He looked down at the two girls as Harper embraced Lucy, trying to comfort her. The primordial child felt out of place here, uncertain on what to do about this situation. He scratched his head, feeling awkward that he wasn't prepared for this. He had actually come to camp for a different reason and running into Lucy had completely taken him by surprise and he didn't like it.

Harper wondered if she was over-stepping boundaries by hugging the girl, but she quickly warmed up into the hug. Harper held the girl close as she looked up at Xenos. The only reason they came back to camp was that Harper forgot her favorite sweatshirt and managed to convince Xenos to come get it with her. She never expected to run into a girl that was sobbing. It reminded Harper too much of her mental breakdown. "Lying to yourself only hurts you in the long run," she said as she continued the soothing hand on the girl's back. "So don't say that nothing's wrong, but it looks like it is."

A small childish pout formed on Lucy's face as the older girl spoke. She was probably right that she was only hurting herself by denying that anything was wrong, but she didn't really feel like confessing to these two strangers that the boy she liked was actually gay and she suddenly got the feeling that her brother didn't care.

Slowly though, she started to relax and took a deep breath, pulling away from the girl and looking down at her knees for a moment. "I'm just ... I suddenly don't feel like anyone cares about me." Lucy said slowly, her voice shaking a little. That felt like it was the simplest and most accurate way she could voice what she was feeling.

Harper's heart dropped to the pit of her stomach as she heard the girl utter something about nobody caring for her. Harper only felt like she could relate a little too much. She held the girl closer to her as she continued the soothing hand on her back. "That's not true," she said as she looked down at the girl and back up at Xenos. She raised her eyebrows at him and nodded her head towards the girl indicating he should probably say or do something. Then she turned her attention back to the girl. "Doesn't your cabin care about you?" She took a couple of deep breaths before she said in a gentle voice. "I care about you."

Suddenly gets an idea as he looks down at the two girls. He kneels down next to the two girls and looks at Lucy. "Hey, what's your name?" He asked the sobbing girl as he watches her face. The idea in his head was making him a bit more comfortable with the situation, but he was still feeling a bit awkward about this. "I have an offer for you if you'll accept it." The son of the night explained to her with a smile. "It will help you get away from this place, and I have a feeling that will help."

Lucy stared at the girl for a moment. It sounded more like she was saying that she cared about her out of pity. She thought about her cabin, sure, they cared about her, but she was mostly talking about Blue and Ethan. Without saying anything, the daughter of Hermes turned her head towards the man. "Lucy." She replied softly before listening to him, growing more and more interested. Getting away from everything for a while could help her problem. Maybe Ethan and Blue would miss her and remember her and want her back around. Maybe they'd appreciate her more. A small smile began building as she thought this and gave a small nod towards him. "What's your offer?"

[Xenos Dhar]

"I'm offering to let you come back with us to where we live. I can help you move out of here tonight, and you'll be gone before anyone could even think of trying to stop you." Xenos told her, keeping the small smile on his face. "You would have your own place." He took a breath after he had finished describing his offer to her, wondering what she would say. The primordial child's face then turned serious as he thought of something. "I do have to warn you. While it won't be impossible for you to return here. It will be incredibly difficult to do it safely."

[Harper Jones]

Harper stayed silent for a couple of minutes as she watched the exchange between Xenos and the girl as she kept the comforting hand on her back. "It's okay to get away from your problems once in a while," she said as she looked over at Lucy and gave her a soft smile. "That's what I did and I'm pretty happy that I did." She looked up at Xenos and smiled at him before she looked down at Lucy. "Definitely think about, but it's only a one time offer. You can't accept it after we leave." Especially since they were just going to grab Harper's sweatshirt and leave if everything went according to plan.

Lucy bit her lip as Xenos explained. It sounded like a big decision, leaving everyone behind and maybe never returning. She turned to listen to Harper. She seemed happy enough with her decision. The daughter of Hermes looked down at her knees again as she thought about it. All that had happen since she'd arrived at camp was grow apart from her brother and been hurt by people she thought had cared. Her face hardened as she looked up at Xenos. "I think ... I think I'll come with you." Her voice had started off soft, but had quickly hardened with her resolve. Getting away from camp and everyone would be the best thing right now.

[Xenos Dhar]

"Good, we should get your stuff as soon as you're okay. You don't have to worry about running into anyone. I can hide us from sight." He tells Lucy as he stands up and looks around. "The problem is that you two will have a hard time seeing while I'm doing this. I would just take us there automatically, but I can't shadow travel to places I've never been to before." The son of the night turns back towards the two girls. "Let me know when you want to leave." He said before looking around again.

Harper looked at Lucy when she decided to tag along with them. She glanced up at Xenos and raised her eyebrows at him. She had a feeling that they should stay here a couple more moments to make sure that the girl was okay. "You should probably pack most of your clothes and other things you can't bare to be without," she offered as she looked down at Lucy and continued that soothing hand on her back. Then she glanced up at Xenos when he mentioned something about shadow travel difficulty. "The just do the back of my cabin. We can sneak from there and we should be fine."
