Devin put his hands up in a surrender pose, "All right, fine." He started to back away, "Poseidon wouldn't drown you in the waters of camp half blood. That's not really his territory anyway." He gave her a small bow and left the stables quickly, but not before yelling back to her. "It doesn't hurt to make a few friends, you know!" He started walking swiftly away and his monkey, Channy, appeared to climb onto Devins shoulder.

"I know, I know. I should be sympathetic." Devin talked to the monkey, "But how am I supposed to understand? She's a girl for goodness sakes. They're crazy." He muttered to himself.

"I don't like swimming, leave it like that." She said sternly, finally she sighed in relief as he left, finally some alone time. Guys like him made her want to be a huntress she told to herself over and over again. Maybe she would. She scoffed to his last comment and yelled back. "It hurts when you don't want any, freak!" She groaned and went back to her own things. Just until summer ends she told herself, maybe she could convince her mother to let her stay with her, maybe even escape her life with her family. But no, her mother made it clear she was a disgrace, she had to stay forever. But forever was a really long time.
