Never too late(OPEN)

Hailey raised her eyebrows as she watched Vinnie walk over to his stuff and rambled through his stuff. She thought it was slightly rude as she huffed a bit and rolled her shoulders. However, it was not too much as she didn't want to jostle her shoulder. She was lucky that she made it this far today without bumping it in some form.

She almost missed the pack of gum thrown at her, but she managed to grab it right before it hit her nose. She looked down at the gum in her hands and back up at him as she raised her eyebrows. "Never the fun type?" she said calmly as she gripped the package of gum in her hand. She took a deep breath before she dropped it on the ground. "If you excuse me," she said as she turned back to start walking to the Big House. "I have a shoulder that I need to get looked at. I don't think sand is good for it."

He felt slightly surprised when he turned back to her and she looked annoyed with him. A scoff escaped him that quickly turned into a laugh. She was annoyed? Well, that was interesting. Vincent couldn't help but smile when she nearly screwed up on catching the gum. For a hunter she was clumsy. He would have thought they would be good at something like catching in case they needed a knife while hunting or something like that.

Maybe it was just the surprise. Then she surprised him even more. She dropped the gum and walked away all pissed off! The son of Pasithea laughed again. It was kind of cute even though she could probably take him in a match if he didn't use his abilities. Straightening up, he took to a jog and caught back up with her, walking to the side of her wounded shoulder in case he needed to move quickly. "You aren't a very good hunter." He took a rather long moment of pause after he said that. "I mean there are only a couple hunters here to compare but still. I don't really see hunters making the mistake of feeling hurt over some boy or chuckling at his stupidity. I also don't see them telling boys that they missed their chance. Usually it's more of a 'You never would have had a chance, anyways.'" He didn't pause this time so he could try and keep from getting slapped. "That's good though it means the hunters didn't take all of your giggly-ness." He spawned a new word on the spot. He stepped in front of her and his stupid, teasing grin disappeared as he became serious. "Come on redhead," He pulled the most notable thing about her out and continued. "You're contemplating me already somewhere in your mind, and you may not know it...but I would have had that chance if I hadn't left so...just contemplate on me a bit more?" He raised an eyebrow.

Hailey walked away expecting no more from the boy. He had pissed off the injured hunter a lot and she didn't want to do anything more with him. However, he had other ideas as she heard him approach her from her good shoulder side. She rolled her eyes. This boy was persistent and didn't know how to give up. "Then you've clearly not met many hunters, have you?" she snapped at him as she glared over her shoulder. "And not that you should have anyway, since hunters don't want to be associated with the likes of you."

And she tried to storm away from him again, but he cut her off right in her path. She stopped and glared at him some more. He really ticked her off with the use of her hair color. "Contemplate you some more?" she scoffed as she rolled her eyes. "I know what hanging out with the likes are you are like and I'm never doing it again. So give up my hunter status for you? When Hades freezes over." Then she took a sidestep and moved to walk past him and back to her cabin.

He smiled when she rolled her eyes at him when he caught up to her again. He was starting to
annoy her. Oops. Clearly not met many hunters? Too many to count in his opinion. He stared
at her when she continued. He scoffed at her words and looked down at the ground for a
couple seconds before back at her. "Likes of me?" He chuckled again. "You don't even know
me though. Or did you just mean males in general?"

He found out how much he had really pissed her off though when she reacted to his request. A sigh escaped him as she finished speaking and simply sidestepped him to get by. This was difficult. A small spark of curiosity quickly roared into a flame as he asked himself what the bastard did to make her turn towards the choice of following Artemis. Part of that flame seemed to spread though as he felt a small amount of anger at the punk who did it. Of course by that time the annoyance had bundled up to simply spark something else, more of Vinnie's stupid confidence and defiance. She had more than enough time to look back fifty times and get back into her cabin, though that might have been a bit of an exaggeration. Turning around he scoffed and raised a hand to his head before lifting his chin to shout. "ALRIGHT! THEN I'LL DO IT! I WILL MAKE HADES FREEZE OVER!" Vincent had cupped his hands over his mouth to make himself louder. "Just for you." The last three words were just barely above whisper though, making it so he was talking to himself except for the two other movements he made. One of the things he didn't wasn't much of anything, his left hand falling to his side didn't really say anything. His right hand though...With that smug smile still on his face he moved his right hand to point in the direction of the cabin.

Hailey was completely and utterly done with the conversation with the boy. She just wanted to go back to her cabin and change the bandages on her shoulder. Was that too much to ask for? Apparently it was, because she was barely close to the beach/land border when she heard him screaming something at her. And her heart plummeted into the pits of her stomach. She glanced up at the Hades cabin and knew exactly what he was thinking.

"Freezing the Hades cabin doesn't count," she said as she whirled around to face him. Her eyes narrowed as she studied him and noticed that he was indeed pointing to the Hades cabin. She did not like him one bit despite this weird sensation she felt. She huffed slightly as she stormed towards him. "Because if you were thinking about, it wouldn't work since technically the cabin could freeze over every winter." Once she got close enough to him, she slowed down her pace as she got up in her face. "Besides, you have no chance. So why are you even bothering unless you like seeing yourself loose?"

His words obviously struck her because she actually stopped. A smile spread across his face when she actually stopped at his words. So she was taking him seriously? She wasn't treating it like some kind of words that came out of a kid. Then again Vincent had learned that almost anything was possible, in the last few years. Then she turned around to face him and he scoffed at her words, his face deadly serious.

A shrug fell off his shoulders and he spoke almost instantly in reply to her words. "If the cabin won't satisfy you, then I'll get the underworld too! Or even the god! If one won't work then I'll freeze both!" His hands spoke with him, making movements to add more meaning to his words. His eyes never left hers as she got closer, the closer she got though the more his eyes moved back and forth between her eyes. "I don't know how to lose. Besides, even if it means facing Artemis, it's worth it." His eyes darted down at her lips for a millisecond before he stepped closer and lightly kissed her.

"Even if you do freeze them," Hailey interjected or, more likely, talked over him, "there is still no way that I would even give up my Hunter status because some boy actually made something freeze over!" She glared at him as he looked at her and she started to feel slightly intimidated, but she took deep, regular breaths to steady herself. "Then you're experience your first loss, because..." she told him before he cut her off with his lips.

Hailey froze as she tried to comprehend what was going on. A small part of her wanted to kiss him back, but the stronger and louder part, the hunter part, put her good hand on his chest and pushed him away as she took a step back. She took a deep, angry breath before she pulled that hand off his chest and moved to strike him across the face. "You're despicable," she hissed at him as she turned away once more and stormed back to the cabins.
