One Thing I Hate[NYX CABIN]

Mara frowned as she opened the door to the cabin. Blinking as her eyes adjusted to the low lighting, Mara opened the door a little wider for her feathery friend to come in.
"If this is a no pets-cabin, I will kill someone." She mumbled to herself. Lumiere bobbed her head, squawking as if agreeing with Mara's words. Having only a backpack and her pouch, Mara didn't really need to do much to settle down. She walked over to the bed, ad inspected it. Something was missing. And why did she walk in here? Of yeah, she was a demigod. That screwed up her life a lot so far.
Mara swung her backpack next to the bed, and inspected it. With a smile, she messed up the covers a little.
"Perfect." She said to Lumiere, who attempted to imitate her.

[Xenos Dhar]

Xenos walked into his cabin with Bandit on his shoulder. The small black cat meowed as it saw an intruder in the normally empty cabin. The son of the night turned to the girl he had just realized was standing over one of the beds. "Hello there. Who are you?" He asked as Bandit jumped off his shoulder to investigate the parrot. Xenos walked over to his own bed and collapsed onto it.

Mara spun around as someone entered the cabin, and saw it was a guy. Probably someone she was related to. She blinked for a few moments, realizing that this guy asked her who she was. Mara looked at Lumiere for a moment, who had flown down to the floor to investigate the cat.
"Forrest. Mara Forrest. And you?"

[Xenos Dhar]

Xenos sat up to look at her. Looks like another sleepless night. "I'm Xenos Dhar." He looked at the girl and noticed a backpack next to the bed. "And if I'm correct, I'm your older brother." The primordial child was a bit confused on the concept. He had been alone in this cabin since the day he had first arrived at camp.

Halley was just strolling through trying to figure out where she was or where she was going. She took a left turn somewhere and heard voices. hmm, more people! oh can't wait to meet them, she thought. She walked up to the door and couldn't see a thing so she just closed her eyes and put her hand into a fist and instantly created light. She saw two people a guy and a girl probably related, just guessing "hey, sorry to bother you. I just want to meet new people new campers or old campers, doesn't matter. Any ways, My name's Halley Day and i'm the daughter of Hemera not Apollo, I hate it when people mistake me for a child of Apollo" halley made a scowling face and mumbled under her breath.

Xenos? Cool name. Mara looked intently at Xenos. She couldn't see how they could be related, but her mother apparently also sired Xenos. Mara nodded her head, "Related. Cool. Weird. Odd." She dug out a few daggers in her backpack. They were very beaten up, but they helped her survive through the day. She looked at them, then put the back into her backpack. They were useless.

When the girl came, Mara was somewhat surprised. The girl was talking a lot, and Mara didn't really get what she was saying, until something said, Hello, stupid! She just said her name! Mara blinked, then stuck out her hand, "Nice to meet you....Halley."

[Xenos Dhar]

"Hemera? What is a daughter of the day doing in the Nyx cabin. I know that technically you are our niece, but it's still a little strange." Xenos looked at the newcomer a little surprised his mere presence didn't scare these two off. They must not have heard about me yet. He sighed as he fell back onto his bed, knowing his insomnia wouldn't let him get to sleep. "Just so you know guys, I'm a conivcted criminal for crimes against the camp, so you might not want to be near me too much."

"Crimes?" Mara looked over at Xenos. She didn't hear the whole part about day, but crimes was something she caught. Did this camp have law enforcement? What type of crimes? Had he ever killed an innocent? No! Too many questions. Mara didn't care, at this point. She was happy to finally be out of her home, and she was really excited to meet new people!

What am I doing? Ordering myself around s just crazy! Mara looked again at Halley, then at Lumiere, "Is this camp safe?" She hated to ask such a girly question, but that's what they always did in the movies.

Xenos laughed as he put his hands behind his head. "From me it is. I'm something of a special case." He smiled as Bandit jumped up from the cabin floor onto his bed. The small cat yawned as he stepped onto the primordial child's chest and curled up to sleep. Lucky. Xenos thought as he watched his cat. "I'm not the only thing out there though. The camp should be safe enough though. To my knowledge, I'm one of the few to actually survive a Olympian trial."

Mara's eyes slightly widened and she nodded slowly, "Sounds like fun." She said dryly, eyeing the wall. She looked at all the beds. They were really neat. When she looked around, Mara noticed that only her bed and Xenos' actually looked touched. The others just seemed...sad. Only two in the Nyx cabin. That would make cleaning a little easier.

"One more really dumb question. If I leave the camp, I am pretty much sentencing myself to a terrible death?" Mara knew the answer to that question right when she said it. Yes. She could die. Meaning she was here. Cool. Hope there's stuff to do.

[For some reason I felt like making a sorta negative character...It's the first time I've done it, so her negative..ness might be a bit odd.]

(It's fine this character has actually died before, so he's a bit strange himself.)

Xenos looked over at his new half sister. "Well, it depends. According to reports, I actually lived outside of camp while I was fighting the camp." He put it mildly to keep her from getting to close to actual truth. "So if you have the skill and the power, you can survive for quite a while."

"just trying to meet new people mister" Halley stuck her tongue out to him but smiled instantly then the girl said nice to meet you "oh nice to meet you too" She just let the brother and sister talk things and then the guy said don't get near me cause i'm an insane person or something like that "hmm, we'll get over it any ways we are family right? that's what family's do. They help out one another and do other things too but we are still family" Halley smiled and immediately closed her mouth and put her hand over her mouth. A few seconds later and a few checks for any sign that something burned "oh thank goodness nothing got burned cause if it did we are in big trouble" I still kept the light in my hand and took a few steps here and there around the cabin.

Mara nodded with a smile, "Thanks." Then Halley started talking about family and burning stuff. Mara blinked a few times, trying to understand what Halley was doing, looking around with her light. Mara looked at Xenos again, "Do they teach you how to actually fight and use your powers? I suck at fighting." Mara said with a giggle, looking at her arms. They actually looked okay, but that was just because her arm fat never hung. She was really weak in her arms, but a good runner. Curse you, mind! Stop going off topic!

[Xenos Dhar]

"Yeah, they do." Xenos closed his eyes for an attempt at sleep he knew would fail. He sighed as lied there, thinking of some way to try and get some sleep. The son of the night really hated his insomnia. "You know what. I'm going to go. You guys have fun." With those words Xenos picked his cat of his chest and set it down on his bed, stood up, and shadow travelled away.

Mara stared after Xenos as he left, "Yeah. Bye." And he traveled through some shadows-cool! Would Mara actually be able to teleport like that when she had full control of her powers? That looked like a lot of fun! Mara was so excited by the fact of traveling through shadows, she didn't realize that the room was getting significantly darker.
Then she did.
