Like Whoa (Xenos)

[Harper Jones]

Harper realized something very quickly what moving with her boyfriend all away across the country meant: lots and lots of packing. Ever since that day they decided to move, there was a mountain of boxes in Harper's own room and she wasn't even through halfway packing.

She opened up one of her drawers and started pulling out her clothes and tossed them into a suitcase. When she tossed the last bit of that drawer's contents into her suitcase, she noticed something odd with the dresser. There was a nick at the back and she reached out to scratch it only to realize that it was a false bottom. Her eyes widened as she realized that something could be underneath it and she pulled out the drawer to rest it on her bed.

She took a deep breath as she opened it knowing that her boyfriend hid stuff all over his house, so this could have been another place he kept his booze. However, she didn't find any bottles but a small box. She picked it up with her two hands as she opened it, but then found something that made her heart race. "Oh gods..." she muttered as she dropped it and stumbled backwards. However, she backed right into the mountain of boxes. She tripped backwards over it as a couple of boxes came toppling down. Thank god there wasn't anything breakable in them, but they still made a loud crashing noise.

Xenos jumped and cursed as he hit his head on one of the bedposts to his bed when he heard the loud, crashing noise coming from Harper's room. "Harper?" He called out as he got up from the floor of his room, where he had been stuffing some things into a box, and walked into the hall. "Is everything all right?" The son of the night asked as he walked into her room to see her sprawled on the floor with a mountain of boxes scattered everywhere.

Xenos immediately jumped over the nearest boxes to get to Harper. He knelt down next to his girlfriend and looked her over, trying to see if she was hurt anywhere. "Are you okay, Harper? Do you feel dizzy or nauseous?" He asked, worried that she might have gotten hurt.

Harper laid on the ground with the boxes everywhere as she took some deep breaths. She was doing it to calm herself down and to make sure that she didn't have any major injuries. Besides maybe a couple of bruises, it didn't feel like she broke anything, which was a relief. She slowly sat up just as her boyfriend bounded into the room.

"I'm fine," she said as she sat up completely and leaned down to massage the back of her calves. "Maybe a couple of bruises, but no concussion or broken bones." She glanced back up at the bed at the drawer and her heart started racing again and it jumped up her throat slightly. "I just... I just found something I wasn't expecting... in one of my drawers..."

Xenos barely caught Harper glancing at the drawer that she had opened, and he nearly jumped when he saw which one it was. It was a disaster that she had found the box inside of the false drawer. He had wanted to surprise her with it himself after they had moved and had gotten a bit settled in. A particularly nasty curse escaped his lips as he turned back to look at her. I might as well do this now. The Primordial thought to himself before standing up. He offered Harper a hand up, hoping he was making the right choice in asking this now.

Harper tried to calm herself down, but she realized that her boyfriend's reaction was not helping at all, especially with the curse he muttered. All she could piece together was that she was not supposed to find it at all. Her breathing was shaky and her heart was racing as she glanced down at her boyfriend's hand before she took it and helped herself up. "Xenos..." she asked softly, worriedly as she glanced between her boyfriend and the drawer. "Why were you hiding a ring in my drawer?" But she had a feeling what his answer would entail, but she wasn't sure what her response would be... not quite yet...

"Because I figured it would be the last place you would look for something I hid. Especially after you went around on a crusade to find all of my false walls and drawers." Xenos sighed as he looked at her before moving her over to the bed. He sat her down on it before looking at the drawer and pulling the small box out. "I had wanted to wait to do this, but when you found it like this just now, I realized that it had to be now." The son of the night took a deep breath as he knelt down in front of her.

"First of all, I would like to say. I love you, Harper Leigh Jones. I love you more than I have anyone else in my life. I want you to know that before anything else." Xenos told her seriously. His confidence wavering at having to do this so suddenly. He steeled himself before continuing. "That's why I can't imagine a life without you in it anymore, and why I'm certain I want to ask this question of you more than anything else. Harper, will you marry me?"

Harper raised her eyebrows at him when he explained why he hid the ring in her drawer as he moved her to sit on the bed. Of course she didn't think her room would have false walls or drawer bottoms. Part of her wondered what else he was hiding in her room, but all those thoughts immediately went out of her head when Xenos dropped down to one knee in front of her.

Harper gasped as she felt the tears well up in her eyes. She covered her mouth with her right hand since Xenos was holding her left. Her heart raced as he said the words she'd been wanting to hear along with the question that every little girl wants to hear. "You're such an idiot," she said when she pulled her hand away from her mouth, "for saying you love me now..." She smiled at him as a couple of tears streaked down her face. "But, I love you too... and, yes, I'll marry you."

"Hey, I'm not an idiot. I can't just propose to a girl who doesn't know that I love her." Xenos protested with a wide grin. It wasn't possible for him to keep the joy he felt off of his face at that moment. "That would be so embarrassing." He said as he stood up just enough to bring his face level with hers. "I don't think I could have dealt with an embarrassment of that level." The son of the night told her. "I'm so happy though." He said truthfully before leaning forward and pulling her hand away from her mouth so that he could kiss her.

Harper couldn't help but match the wide grin of her boyfriend... no... fiance... "That would be a very embarrassing mistake that I'm not sure you would be able to live down," she said with a slight chuckle as she wiped the tears away from her face. However, he grabbed her hand and moved it away from her mouth. "I'm glad," she whispered to him before his lips touched hers and her arms wrapped around his neck. And she kissed him sweetly and softly at first as she grew with intensity after a couple of moments. But after a while, she barely pulled away from his lips so she could rest her forehead against his. "I love you, Xenos," she whispered to him as she opened her eyes to look into his.

"And I love you, Harper." Xenos whispered back after he heard Harper whisper that to him. His hands moved to push the drawer out of the way and brace himself on the bed as he moved to crawl on top of her while she was on the bed. His lips finding hers once again to kiss her extra passionately. His eyes closed as he pressed himself against her. His lips attacking hers hungrily. He caught her lower lip with his teeth and nibbled and sucked on it lightly. The Primordial child wanted to show his fiance just how much love and lust he had for her as he put as much of it as he could into this kiss.

Harper smiled widely at her fiance before he crawled on top of her, pushing her against the bed, as his lips demanded her attention. She kissed him back passionately before he decided to suck and nibble on her lower lip. She was feeling everything that he was putting into the kiss and it was safe to say that she was returning that love and lust. However, something hit her in the middle of making out with him and pulled away from his lips a couple of moments later. "You're forgetting something, Xenos," she muttered to him as her breath was heavy and husky. "Something that I found earlier in my drawer."

Xenos blushed a few moments after Harper tried to remind him about what he had missed as he realized what it was exactly. "Sorry." He said as he moved slightly to grab the ring. It was a little nerve wracking to him as he pulled the ring out of the box and slipped it onto her finger. The son of the night then moved to kiss her again, starting this one out as gentle and very slowly making it more and more intense. He moved one hand to cup her cheek tenderly.

Harper giggled slightly at the blush on Xenos's cheeks as he went to grab the ring that caused the earlier commotion. "It's fine. You're..." She was going to comment about how cute he was with the blush, but he slipped the ring on her finger. She did see it in the box before, but didn't realize analyze it. However, it looked absolutely gorgeous on her finger. "It's beautiful," she managed to mutter to him before his lips found hers once more. She kissed him back just gentle and slow before he built it up. She rewrapped her arms around his neck before her hands weaved into the back of his hair and massaged it slightly. She arched her back to press into him as she loved the feel of his body against hers.

Xenos groaned softly against Harper's lips as he felt her hands in his hair and her body pressing up against him. His hands started to move over her body gently, tenderly exploring and caressing her. "Gods..." He murmured after barely pulling his lips away from hers. They make their way down to gently kiss at her neck, peppering it with almost feather like kisses. His eyes close as he continues to work on her neck, making his kisses get stronger and stronger after a while. "I want you, love." The Primordial child whispered into his fiance's ear.

Harper smiled against her fiance's lips as she felt his hands wander all over her body. Gods, they felt so good and she only wanted more from him. She gasped slightly when his lips left from hers and moved down to her neck. She kept massaging his scalped as she moaned softly in pleasure. She arched her back more as she bit her lower lip. "Gods..." she muttered as a shiver ran down her spine once he whispered in her ear. "I want... I want you too..." She gripped his hair a little tighter before she let go of it. Her hands traveled down the front of his shirt as she curled and uncurled her fingers into the soft fabric.
