Roxy sighed at the last view of Camp Half Blood, she was leaving in five minutes she already had the money, nectar, ambrosia and everything needed in her backpack. She was satisfied with the girls coming with her but what bothered her the most were the words the oracle told her. " Three shall go north to find the sacred cows of Apollo, And find the path of the golden hay to follow. Apollo's daughter worst nightmare shall come true, In darkness she'll have to find light on battue. To be lost and alone Poseidon's daughter will fall, And she'll find an unexpected call.
A new recruit will prove worthy, Losing the track of time in a pathy.
But be warned that three demigods will leave, And only three will come back. " She knew they had to go to Nevada, that was the place her father had 'told' her to go to, she didn't like the part of having to face her worst nightmare and according to the oracle they would find someone to come along to camp. But only three would get back. How was it possible? Finally she got to the drivers seat in the car, Makayla was in the passanger seat and Bast in the back in the middle. " Ready to go girls?" She smiled and turned on the car. She was the youngest of the three and still didn't know why Chiron told her to drive, but she did it anyways against all her pleads because they would most probably die in a car crash than in fighting monsters. ((Would you guys prefer them going on an airplane or train?))

Quest time, a time of fighting, conflicts, searching and traveling. Bast loved quests and all that came with it but what she did not love was traveling. It was tiring and unrewarding. Not to mention she hated road trips. When she was younger, she had gone on a road trip with her family. After that, young Bast had become rather scarred and hated road trips ever since. To those asking hat had happened... Let's just say there were a few family fights in the car and a few minor monster attacks.
So, yeah. That was why Bast was curled up in the back seat of the car with a tigon and a doberman-rottweiler mix, patiently waiting for something to do. She had already gone over a mental checklist of her stuff. She had everything a demigod might need on a quest. Backpack with ambrosia, nectar, human and demigod money, a change of clothes, extra mortal food, extra pet food and water? Check. Necklace of weapons around her neck? Check. Pepper and Dragon in tow? Yup. Definitely check.
"I'm ready. Also, I call being driver after Roxy." she responded to the daughter of Apollo with a goodnatured grin. Being driver meant having something to do and not being squished in between a dog and a giant cat. Her driving definitely wasn't the safest but Bast could drive. Sure, she might get the three demigods a ticket for speeding and reckless driving but whatever.

Makayla sat in the passenger seat, reading a book as the other two chattered. She had a small suit case between her legs and about two gallons of water next to her feet. She wasn't taking chances on a quest. Course, the book was for the drive. She got car sick. Yeah, she wasn't gonna tell them though. Bad enough having to deal with it.
"I'm good. And I'm not driving, so bast, feel free to." She turned the page, pushing her foot against the gallon of water, feeling and letting it calm her down. Chiron knew about her.....thing with cars. Which was why she was not surrendering her seat since it has such good access to the window for throwing up in the near future.
"Where are we going again?" She asked, a little snappish but even before the car started, you could tell she wasn't comfortable in the car. She just let the story take her away. She wasn't in the car. She was in her cabin, reading a book and calming down....

Roxy was gonna miss Phineas, she didn't want to admit it but she was going to and if it was her that was gonna get lost or die she asked Phineas if he could make her shrine. She snapped back to reality after she was about to hit a truck, she stirred the wheel back to the lane and laughed. "Yeah Bast will go cause I'll probably get us all killed." She smiled and looked at the nervous Makayla. "Don't worry Makayla we are only driving to the train station, its like two or one hours away so half way I change with Bast, from there we leave to Nevada." She focused her eyes on the lane and tried not to het them all killed.

So far, so good. They almost got into a crash just once so that was pretty nice. Dragon didn't find that fact very optimistic though as he had yelped and growled as he was tossed about. Pepper had little to say about the matter. She only glared at the driver then went back to her cat nap. Bast had learned that all cats, domestic or wild, just don't give a crap unless it physically involves them. That could be positive or negative, depending on how you looked at it.
Meanwhile, the daughter of Nemesis focused on the living beings around her. The overall balance of the group. It was her specialty after all, her mum being the goddess of balance and whatnot. The whole group seemed nicely balanced. Roxy treated the others fairly. Makayla's side felt a bit off but Bast guessed that was because she had problems with cars. Pepper and Dragon were fine with the other two girls but, naturally, weren't as balanced. "Eyes on the road Roxy." she reminded the other teen in a somewhat cheery, sing-songy voice.

Makayla tried to focus on the book, only responding when the car jerked. She dropped it, and her face paled instantly. She looked at the girl next to her, and realized she wasn't looking at the road. Luckily bast beat her to it, and told the crazy chick to look at the road.
Then the meaning of the time in the car hit her. She reached down for her book, but couldn't find it. She saw outside the window, seeing another car coming close to them and her face turned a little green. She wrapped one of her feet around a water gallon, but it didn't help this time. Before she knew it, she leaned between the seats and threw up right on Bast's legs.
Makayla had to wait till the world stopped spinning (AKA, for Roxy to pull over) before she could move out of the car and empty her stomach again in the grass. Makayla held a hand out, and willed about a cup of water out of the gallon jug and over to her, not caring if a mortal saw. The water came to her, and she drank it into her checks, Washing the stomach acid from her teeth and spitting it out. She could feel her stomach wasn't going that well, but calming down. Makayla slowly got up, still a little weak on her feet and walk back over to the car, saying," Sorry Bast. I don't do well with cars at all. I get car sick easily." She leaned against the monster thing, then grabbed her book again and started reading before she got into the car, then sat down and closed the door, not bothering to take her eyes from the page. Reading or watching something was about the only thing that worked in a car. "drive, don't distract me till we get there or we are going to repeat what just happened." Yeah, she was a little moody but if you just threw up, you would be to.

Roxy laughed at Bast's comment of her eyes on the road, she did pass her driving test.... the fifth time. But hey, she did. "I'm sorry guys just a bit distracted." But then the worst happened. Not a monster but Makayla suddenly had the urge to throw up, in Bast's legs. "Woah!" She quickly pulled over by the side of the road, she watched Makayla get out of the car and Roxy did the same. She opened the door of the right to see Bast. "I don't know who to ask if they're okay either you or Makayla." She couldn't help but smile at her own joke, but she opened the trunk to grab her backpack. She looked for some tissues or cloths and found a tissue and two cloths. "Here," She gave a cloth to Bast and helped her wiping the puke away. "Oh gods." She said, it smelled weird and bad but she wasn't gonna point that out. Until the carseat and Bas't legs were clean she put the cloths on a plastic bag and put them on the trunk. She shut the trunk and entered the car. "Just one hour and thirty more minutes. How about in half an hour we stop for some food? The train doesn't leave until five more hours, and from there Bast can drive." She smiled at both girls and started the engine, "You okay Makayla?" She asked trying to be better help, but stopped talking when she said not to distract her from her reading. She started driving and put on the radio at a low sound, she sang quietly along the music not wanting to disturb Makayla but she did concentrate better when singing.

"I love trains!" Amelia exclaimed, "Let's just get there quickly. Shape up Makayla, you're fine, I just got vomited on." Amelia wasn't really one to care about others peoples feelings. Especially if she didn't know them very well. She got out of the car and opened the trunk, grabbing her backpack. She swiftly changed her pants off the side of the road, again not really caring what other people thought of her. She then crossed back over to Roxy. "Car keys?" She said firmly, raising an eyebrow at her. AS hilarious as this quest was, Amelia still wanted to get moving.

Makayla sighed, hating all cars very existence with her entire body as he looked at the book in her hands, but knew it wasn't there anymore. She put it down, taking a swing of water and feeling some peace return to her body. Her three battle water bottles nestled against her hip, ready to go but she didn't touch them. The gallon would do for now. She pulled her phone out, pulling an app open and starting a game of Tetris. She didn't really notice the care ride go bye.
(It's going slow, time skip to the train station XD )
Makayla was the first out of the car once they hit there, not even waiting for them to park but as soon as they got there. She leaned against one of the pillars, one of her hands on her stomach as she was trying to handle the car sickness thing. She touched the water bottle at her hip, calming down and looked back at the car, giving a weak and embarrassed smile to it. It was only cars thank gods. Trains were.....somewhat okay. She didn't ralf during them. "Sorry about that," She said, blushing a tiny bit when they caught up.

Roxy walked towards Amelia when she saw her changing, she chuckled slightly, her pick of girls for this quest were interesting, one hated car rides and the other changed on the road. She turned to her when she was asked for the car keys, she threw the car keys towards her direction, aiming for where her hands were. Once Amelia started driving she sat in the back looking out the window following the sun, most kids would get scolded by looking at it directly, by lies saying they would become blind if they'd stare at it for a long time, but it never happened to her, it was as if her father was looking down to her.
By the time they got to the train station, without even parking Makayla had already gotten out, she couldn't blame her if she hated cars as much as she did she would've ran out as fast as she did. She took off her seat belt until they parked, got out and opened the trunk, she took her bag and everything that was hers from it and walked towards Makayla. Instead of saying how dangerous that was she just smiled at her apology. "No worries, we just have to get to the train, because..." She glanced at the sign that said what time the trains left. "I think we have like fifteen minutes to buy the tickets and get to the train." ((I've never been on a train station or anything like that, :c so my description of it might be a bit crappy.))
She walked towards were they could buy the tickets, an old lady was behind the glass, no noticing them. "Um, hello?" She said, not that annoyed because it was scary how silent the three girls steps were. The old lady quickly looked up and asked them where to. "Three to Nevada." She answered politely, she payed the tickets with the money that Chiron had given them and thanked the old lady. "Okay here," She gave the two girls each her ticket and went next to the train stop. Minutes later the train stopped in front of them, departing to Nevada. She lead the girls to the train and stopped in a compartment finally, they could relax for a second until they got to Nevada.

Amelia shrugged as Makayla apologized for getting sick, "No big deal. I have had much worst than vomit land on me. Especially on car rides." Shew shuddered as she followed Roxy up to the window, smiling widely at the old lady who proceeded to look at the girls as if they were some hippie hooligans who were probably going to Vegas to become future strippers. Amelia felt herself chuckle at the idea of being a stripper.
Once on the train she threw her legs across the seat of one side, forcing the other girls to sit on the opposite side together. "Soooooo, Roxy Loxy, how often does your dad lose these cows?" She couldn't help but smirk at the girl. They hadn't really spent much time together in the past and Amelia could see why. Their dads didn't get along too well. But Amelia liked Roxy, she thought she was spunky and energetic. Amelia liked people who are entertaining.

Makayla, No longer green gilled ("Who the heck came up with that expression?" she wondered for a second) She wondered for a second, going back to the car real quick to grab her bag. It held a spar change of clothes, her weapons and bottle of water for weapon use. Her sword was strapped to her back in a golf club case, even in the car. Never leave camp with out sword. Unless around water.
Makayla hung back a little at the ticket booth though, Not volunteering for any cash transactions. She kind of blew her money recently on the town with some friends. She was smiling a thank you at Roxy though when she gave her a ticket.
When Amelia automatically took a side to herself, Makayla felt a small bristle but sat down quietly, Putting her bad above her in the compartments. Luckily the train was pretty empty and the compartment was cheep. Sitting down though, she gave a small laugh at the question, pulling knees into her chest and hugging them a little at the train starts to move. It's unsettling, but with in decent ranges.
"Can't be that often. I hope." There is a light tone of amusement to her voice though as she says it, looking at roxy for an answer.

Sitting down in the nice peaceful train was a bit strange, there hadn't been any monsters attacking them, the three girls couldn't let their guard down. Her train of thought was lost as Amelia started talking to her. "Oh, um. I don't think he looses them that often." She chuckled along with Makayla. "But really who knows? What really confused me was seeing your dad Amelia, the only reason he was there with Apollo I suppose was to ensure his prize for winning the bet was delivered?" It was all assumptions. She did not like Ares a lot, mostly because of what he did to Phineas.
After an hour of talking, waiting and just plain old hanging out Roxy was feeling less paranoid, that is until the train stopped. "That's weird." She got up, looking for her bow and arrows that she kept on her backpack, finally she looked out the window and the train started moving again. "Do you guys think it was a monster?" The thought of leaving the compartment and go to investigate, the mist would cover their weapons as scarfs or pens but fighting on a moving train seemed like a bad idea.
((So yeah, imagine they are like less than half an hour close to Nevada, and yeah))

Amelia laughed, "Why does your dad have a bunch of cows anyway?" She asked Roxy. Her hand was resting lightly on her Katana hilt that was swung over her shoulder. She was used to keeping her hand up there above her head. To the mortals, it probably just looked like a pair of skiis or something was strapped to her back. Amelia shrugged at the mention of her father, "Yeah... dad just likes to make sure he gets something out of every situation. Plus, he wanted to guilt trip one of his kids into going with you." She chuckled as she saw the disdain color Roxy's face. Her dad was a pretty scary guy.
The train hadn't even come to a full stop and Amelia's Katana was pulled out in front of her. She stood. "I don't like that. Something must has boarded the train." Amelia stepped out into the isle way.
"Put away that baseball bat, young lady! This is a train!" An old woman said. Amelia growled under her breath and sheathed the Katana again.
"I'm checking the other train." Amelia stated.

It was probably a bad idea, but when the train was stopped, Makayla's head was on Roxy's shoulder, slightly drooling in deep slumber. When it came to a sudden halt, makayla blinked, picking her head up and looking around sleepily. "Are we there yet?" She asked, wiping her mouth as Roxy and Amelia started into action(Makayla was not a fast waker). She stretched, looking out the window as they started off, seeing that they were in the middle of no where. "That's strange," She thought, getting up and reaching into her bag, pulling out a water bottle and a knife. She strapped the metal bottle to her side and kept the knife in hand, pressed to her side so mortals wouldn't freak.
"So, where are we going now?" she asked, stepping out of the small seating area with the other two girls as the train started moving again. Makayla grabbed her stomach, the motion sickness hitting her and tried not to throw up again. When the old lady started to talk, Makayla shot her a glare that was pure evil in it's "Shut up" language. The lady glared back, but when back into her compartment.
"Okay, is there any real evidence that there is a monster here?" She asked, right as a thorn came in through the window and stabbed the wall an inch from her nose. Makayla looked at it, then the shattered window, and said," I'm convinced."Course, then she fall to her knees as another wave of dizziness hit her. She grabbed her mouth in her other hand, her face green as she tried not to barf as the train rocked under something hitting it with enough force to shake it. Yeah, She had some bad motion sickness. "Gonna," She said with a breath," leave this to you.....two," She said and ran towards the broken window, and promptly threw up on the monster that was about to enter it.
Makayla and the monster looked at each other for a moment, one look of shock, amusement, and nausea, the other surprise, anger, and then even more anger. Makayla managed to be faster and stabbed the little thing through the chest. "Great. What the hell are grain spirits doing attacking a train. And," She paused, her stomach settling as she looked at what was left in her hand. "Why was a cowboy hat a spoil of war?" Even she didn't have an answer to that.
