A wide smirk crept onto Colt's face as his challenge was accepted. And the fact that she agreed to his terms, but knew what she was getting herself into either way? That was completely hot in Colt's opinion. Gods willing, if all went his way, he would be having at least one date with Miss Ebonie. He was glad that they made their way back to the basketball court. Ebonie decided to run while he jogged behind her. He didn't want to tire himself out before he had a chance to prove himself.

He laughed as she called back to him. "Pretty boy?" he asked as he shook his head. "That's cute coming from a pretty girl." But once they reached the basketball court, Colt willed the winds to push the basketball by his feet before he bent down to pick it up. He looked at her and cocked an eyebrow again. "You ready to lose?" he said with a slight smirk on his face.

Running did quite the opposite of wearing Ebonie out. If anything it gave her the serious energy boost she needed to play a good game of basketball. She was just glad she finally had someone to play with, even if it was only this one time. She hoped it wouldn't be, though, and a strong part of her was sure that it wasn't going to.

Either way, the game was going to be a success because either way he was taking her out on a date. There was some oracle mumbo jumbo about not getting romantically involved with anyone but... she wasn't the oracle yet, right?

"Aw, thanks!" she called back with a goofy laugh, which she immediately regretted. Soon, the basketball was at his feet and Ebonie felt a strange wind. She spun around with wide eyes as he picked it up. "Hmmm, the real question is if you can take the hit on your pride when I win," she stuck a tongue out at him and leapt forward, knees bent, in an attempt to snatch the ball.

Once Colt had the ball in his hands, he started dribbling it as a cocky smirk crept onto his face. He was in his element and either way, he was walking away from this with a date with a cute girl and that was making it all worth it. He chuckled a bit as he started moving a bit. “That’s cute you think you’ll win,” he said as he dodged just in time to get out of her attempt to steal the ball away from him. “I think I might need to comfort you when you lose.” He smirked as he turned and started to make his drive to start to make his one of hopefully many baskets.

He dodged and then smack talked back, which weren't surprising reactions. She glared, though there was a smile as well, as he started to make his move toward the basket. She followed, but didn't stop him from making the shot. As soon as it bounced off the hoop she caught it, circling back to half court before starting to move toward the hoop again. "Take a sec to catch your breath," she invited, dribbling the ball a little before suddenly, and very quickly, bursting forward in an attempt at a right side layup, however if he got too close she'd zip to the left. Either way, she knew this was going to be a long and intense and adorable game of basketball...

Colt stood there dumbfounded as he watched his basketball not make it through the hoop. He made the shot without his powers, but that should've been a perfect shot. A perfect shot that Ebonie rebounded and took back to half court. He turned to face her as a playful smirk crept on his face. "I don't need to catch my breath," he shot back. "But you might need to catch yours after I own you." She went for a layup and he went to block her, but she zipped around him. He knitted his eyebrows as he turned around to watch her perfect behind. "I guess I should've given you more credit," he admitted before he ran after her. He couldn't let her beat him at his own game after all.

Ooh, the smack talk was coming on again as she sped forward and he moved to block her. She was surprised that she actually made it past him. She laughed as he mentioned giving her more credit and she sped toward the hoop. But he was catching up to her... "do you always let little girls beat you?" she crooned, lifting to make a shot- unsure of where he was exactly at the moment. He could zip around her and block it or catch the rebound if she missed it... either way, it was going to be a good game.

"Little girls, no," Colt snipped back as he moved to block her shot, but he was just a second too late that it already left her hands. He stared at the hoop for a second before he decided that he needed to cheat in order to guarantee that date. He had no backup plan if she happened to win on him. So he concentrated for just a moment so that the winds moved the ball around the circle of the hoop, but it ended up falling out without making a basket. He smirked as he recovered the ball. He looked at her before he said, "Women, maybe." He chuckled to himself as he brought the ball back to half court and started another layup. This was the funnest and hardest way he ever had to work for to get a date.

Ebonie watched as her ball looped the basket but didn't go through. Her jaw dropped and she turned toward him as he caught the ball, referring to her as a 'woman' rather than a 'little girl' like she had said earlier. She was somewhat frozen for a moment until she realized he was starting a layup. She shook her head, bringing herself back to reality in time to jump into front of him and attempt to her the ball. She missed and he whipped past her, "so, where're you taking me?" she asked, bending her knees to prepare for if the ball bounced off...

Colt couldn't help but notice that Ebonie was a little frozen in the moment. Or maybe she was in awe of his skills. Colt didn't know what it was, but he did know that he was going to nail this layup as long as she didn't block his shot. He managed to whiz past her as he shot his basket. Once the ball was out of his hands, he wanted as it sunk into the basket with nothing but net. He chuckled to himself as he looked over at Ebonie. "Would dinner and a movie suffice for the little lady or should I plan for something a little bit more elaborate for her?"

As he made the basket, she walked forward slowly to pick up the ball and held it under her arm, raising an eyebrow at him. "they have movies around here?" she asked. "And something elaborate sounds fun too... hmm," she contemplated for a moment before dropping the ball again and dribbling it to half court once more. She turned to face him. "How about another bet? I make a shot from the 3 point line and we do something elaborate. I don't and we keep it simple." she stayed at the half court line for another moment before dribbling forward toward the 3 point line, but she wouldn't shoot until he responded.

"Well," Colt said with a slight chuckle as he winked at Ebonie, "I can definitely arrange for one to be here. And I'd even let it be your pick as well." He knew he was laying it on quite thick, but he loved the attention and the thrill he was getting from their little basketball game. But a more elaborate date if she happened to make a three pointer? That made Colt smirk a little wider. "You got yourself a deal," he chuckled as he moved to the three point arc so he could watch her make her shot. Would she make it? He didn't know, but he wanted to watch the talent she had, so he decided this powers were going to sit out for now. He stayed quiet as he watched her make her shot.

He'd let her pick? Well, that was a nice thought. She had seen a lot of movies. What with living in her parents giant mansion pretty much alone with no friends to speak of... she had seen her fair share on the large tv screen. Still, it would be nice to actually watch a movie with someone else. That was a strangely appealing. She nodded as he accepted her deal and sped forward, once she arrived, she continued to dribble a few times before lifting the ball off the ground, aiming, and then closing her eyes before taking the shot...

Colt watched her, admired her really, as he watched her make her shot. However, he had to tear his eyes away from her to watch the ball fly towards the basket. For a moment, he felt the urge to use his powers to help her make her shot. But that urge went away pretty quickly once he saw that she was going to make a perfect basket. Nothing but net in her case. He chuckled once there was the whoosh of the net as he retrieved the ball and dribbled it back towards her. "You can open your eyes now," he said as he looked at her. "I guess you get a more elaborate date. You might need to pull out a dress for it."

She heard the swish of the basket and chuckled, waiting until he spoke to open her eyes. She bit her lip at his words and nodded, "do you know where I could get a dress, then?" she asked, legitimate concern on her face. She didn't have any clothes here... just the ones given to her by Chiron and a few from home. No dresses, though. She let her worried face be replaced with a smile and she folded her arms, raising an eyebrow at Colt again."So, what day shall this date take place?" she asked, feeling a sense of giddiness bubble up in her stomach.

Colt raised an eyebrow at Ebonie as he could tell she was genuinely concerned over the fact of where she could get a dress here at camp. And to Colt, that was kind of cute. Well, really cute. He chuckled a bit as he shook his head. "If you want a temporary one, you can borrow one from the Aphrodite cabin. Or, you can buy one through the Hermes cabin if you want one that's your own." He shrugged his shoulders. When it came to female fashion, he was completely out of his league, but Ebonie was totally in his. He smirked a bit when she asked when their date would happen. "Well, I got to give you time to get the dress," he said with a slight smirk before he continued. "So how about this Saturday?"
