PERSONAL STYLE: Daphne is not a girly-girl. She likes her jeans, shirts, tennis shoes, and sweatpants. She will dress up whenever she is ambushed by the Aphrodite cabin or when she’s about to go on a date with someone. Other than that, she stays pretty low-maintenance.

ANYTHING ELSE: Daphne is a thrill-seeker; she lives for an adrenaline rush. She gets a bit spacey during and after an adrenaline kick, but she’s a bright, intelligent, well-rounded girl the rest of the time. She’s nice and friendly to everyone, but you rather want to have an Ares kid mad at you when you get Daphne mad. She harbors hard feelings towards Apollo kids because of her mother and loves the Hermes cabin because they help get her adrenaline fix. She likes boys, but she gives out that girl-next-door vibe, so she’s been unlucky in the dating scene so far.

HISTORY:Marcia, a professor of classical studies at a major university, can see through the mist. She thought it was too good to be true when she hooked up with her favorite Greek god, Apollo. She named the baby girl she had in honor of him: Daphne being one of her favorite Apollo myths and Dianna in honor of his twin sister.

Growing up, Daphne was pushed into the musical arts, but she never had an interest; she’d rather play sports than practice some boring instrument. As she got older, normal sports were not satisfying her tastes and she moved on to more extreme sports like dirt biking and surfing.

When Daphne was 15, she survived a freak sky-diving accident that would have killed a normal person. She couldn’t explain how her parachute didn’t open and she landed on the ground on both feet unharmed. This gained her a spot in the national headlining news and attention by many people, friendly or not. Daphne started getting stalked and attacked by monsters after her accident.

Two weeks and several monster attacks later, Zeus visited the Scotts residence. He admitted to Marcia that she didn’t sleep with Apollo; it was Zeus in disguise. Then he explained to Daphne that she was a demigod. He also explained that with this national coverage, it was no longer safe and she needed to go to Camp Half Blood so she could learn to protect herself from attacks. Daphne had no choice in the matter, since Marcia kicked her out of the house for not being a child of Apollo.

Daphne has been at camp for a year and stays as a year-long camper, even though she sneaks out occasionally with the help of the Hermes cabin in order to fill her adrenaline need.

Daphne really wanted to surf, but the waves weren't suitable; she settled on bodysurfing. There wasn't the thrill, but she laughed as the waves pushed and tossed her around.
After a little while, Daphne got out of the water and laid down on her towel. She let the sun beat down on her as she tried to dry herself and her bikini while getting a tan. Maybe she would get back into the water later.
