Silence || Inari

The young augur was used to spending his time alone in the temple, under the watchful and yet peering eyes of the Gods, he soon sat back and let loose a gentle sigh as he rested his cheek and chin into his right palm, he hummed quietly but soon grew bored of that. "Ya know..." He said to himself lightly. "I usually enjoy this bliss of silence when people don't need me to glance into what could be one of several futures... But, I won't lie... I do kinda, sorta miss the interaction..." He laid back before the statue of Jupiter Optimus Maximus. "I do have my harp if I totally get bored..." He thought out loud.

It was daily routine for Inari to go to the temple of her father, Mars, after she'd finished her training and other duties for the day. She'd been alone in the temple, quietly saying her prayers and leaving an offering, before she left the building again and wanted to head to the baths. That was until she heard a voice from inside the temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus as she passed by. She frowned lightly because it startled her to hear someone talk English instead of Latin inside the temples. Usually everything you could hear on temple hill were prayers and this obviously wasn't one. She lowered her head a little as she entered the huge building and took a few steps instead before she raised her head again and looked straight at the guy who was talking to the statue. "Are you really complaining about your problems to the dies pater*?", the girl asked in disbelief.

The Augur couldn't help but crack a smile to the others remark."Oh, no.. Not at all, some alone time is nice and all and complaining would certainly be easy... I guess what for he or my father to least off some permission would a lovely...  Or some sight would be nice." Alex said lightly, his eyes glaceing to the slightly over done statue. "Awh well, waiting is all find and dandy... " He said with a light hop in his step as he glace to his beg and then to the girl. "Oh! My apologies! I didn't even introduce myself. I'm the current augur, ya can call me.. Alex, Andre, Um... Jonas if ya really wanted... Xandre would also be acceptable.. Or A.J., it's usually A.J..."  He said as thought out loud for the various names that people have given him threw out the years. "Ah... Sorry, sorry... I was rambling...  What brings you to temples?" He finally got around to asking.

What was wrong with that guy? Inari tried her best to keep up with his rambling and crossed her arms in front of her. She raised an eyebrow at the guy she just decided to call A.J. for now because that seemed to be the shortest offer. "Name's Inari", she introduced herself shortly and took a few more steps towards him. Why did she even decide to enter the temple, she should have just passed by because her opponent was already annoying the heck out of her. "Oh, the augur", she realised what he'd just said and repeated it quietly, more to herself. That was kind of interesting after all. But he still annoyed her, augur or not. "Hmm, what does one do on temple hill, except for talking about harps and boredom? I have no idea, praying maybe?"

"Well, I just stay here more often than not... I was kinda raised here as my mother is a priestess for the Gods..." A.J. said lightly, as he soon got to rummaging threw his beg. "And as for here... I usually wait for the Gods to grant me with some sort of future sight.. As I get visions or well omens of what is to happen.. Or what is to come more or less... It's nothing fancy when your father is Titan of Sight and thus it kinda is natural I guess?" He said as he took his little hand harp into his palm, strumming a few strings as he tuned the instrument. "So, Inari... What brings you here?" He asked with with a light smile as he did enjoy the company she had been providing.
