The Enemy (Xenos' Trial)

[Xenos Dhar]

Xenos stood there in the middle of the amphitheater. His wrists weighed down by heavy manacles. He had been told that they would restrict his powers, and that how much they would restrict is dependent upon Chiron's whim. The trial started out with a bunch of talking. Xenos didn't really pay attention to what was being said. He was still in shock.

Chiron had told the son of the night what Xenos had done, and Xenos wasn't certain what to do. He had done some pretty horrible things to these people, and he felt as if that whatever punishment was to be decided on, it wouldn't be enough to make up for what he had done.

"How does the accused plead?" Xenos jumped slightly as those words brought him back to reality. He looked around the amphitheater. A look of confusion on his face. The son of the night looked around the amphitheater again before turning to Chiron.

"Innocent. Plead innocent, Xenos." Isabella whispered into his ear from the front row, directly behind Xenos, her lips barely parting as she spoke. He had done nothing wrong, in her eyes. Besides, he couldn't even remember anything, though she knew the others fears. They spun in her own head like some sort of vicious circle. What if he does remember later on? What if this isn't really Xenos? What if whatever had taken over him is just hiding in there somehow? Her eyes averted away from him for a moment, to wonder around the amphitheater. Many kids sat around, some even smirking. How could people possibly hate him so much?

Raphael sat in a seat close to where Xenos was. He was a cabin leader so of course the minor cabins expected him to sit near the front since he tried to stick up for them as much as possible. the only thing that he hated though was that he had to keep quiet for most of these talks since his abilities allowed him to make people choose the side he wants them too. The son of Nemesis tilted his head and exhaled. his feet were resting up on a railing as he watched.

Truthfully he wasnt sure what this man deserved. Part of him wanted the traitor burned as far away from the camp as possible while another part wanted his friend to live especially after he tried to help him. Unfortunately though he had no luck in finding the seer and was trying to live with it.

Then the son of the night moved and Raphael raised his head a bit. that was weird. he lowered his head again but stopped. Isabella? What in the world? that couldnt be right she was in a coma and Xenos was supposed to be dead. he was told about Xenos but not Isabella.

Uriel was there; for the trial. Uriel was one of the juries. Actually all all the Cabin Leaders we're juries. Because almost all of them knew what he done. The man was still, considered to be the top jury. Mainly because he commanded the army, and he would be in charge of keeping him if he was guilty. The man was standing over the place, his black suit was gleaming. The moment the juries we're announced, he walked towards the highest throne there.

Uriel sat at the throne, his legs crossed and he was leaning on his hand. Staring at Xenos with that burning gray flame in his eyes, the army men surrounding the room. And Uriel nodded, the juries started to say their own preferences " I bet that he'd be counted as guilty...." Says one, and they all murmured. Uriel raised his arms and said "Silence!" With that the murmuring toned down. And he gave him the look of sympathy.

[Daphne Scotts]

Daphne really didn't want to be here. She was going to skip out on her part as a jury member. Then Chiron told her that she needed to be a witness in the case. So she wasn't sitting with the other jury members where she would have been the head. Nope, she was sitting towards the back of the amphitheater. She wanted to puke her guts out. Part of her hoped she was the first witness called to the stand. She didn't need to be in the same room any longer as him.

Xenos looked behind him at Isabella with a grateful smile. He saw Daphne in the very back and averted his gaze. The son of the night realized that he had done some horrible things and she was the proof. "I'm sorry, Isabella." Xenos gave the daughter of Hecate a quick kiss on the cheek and took a deep breath. He looked around the amphitheater and saw several now familiar faces, including Raphael's. "I plead guilty to all charges." The son of the night announced to the gathered populace. A single collective gasp broke out from the crowd.

[Harper Jones]

Harper was one of the jury members in the stand. She didn't even bother speaking her opinion when the other members said what they thought the verdict was. She just glared him down. She didn't forgive him for that ring disaster. Hades, she was pretty sure that she'd never forgive him. That stupid piece of jewelry led her to hurt her love ones and forced her to go on that stupid quest where she almost became a monster bride. She crossed her arms and smirked as Xenos plead guilty. At least he'd be getting what he deserved.

[Daphne Scotts]

Daphne felt her breath caught in her chest as he pleaded guilty. She couldn't believe it. He would finally get what he deserved. After all those tortures and her kidnapping. She just couldn't believe it. She glanced around the room to see everyone's shocked faces. She should've gotten up and left, because her testimony wasn't needed anymore. He owned up to his actions, no need to prove them. But she stayed seated, because a sick part of her wanted to know what his punishment was.

Uriel shook his head at Xenos, he needed another chance. People we're around murmuring, saying that he deserved it. The juries even tried to make a bold move by trying to laugh at him. Uriel hushed them again with his harsh one "Order in the FREAKING Court!" Uriel yelled and they shut up. Uriel sighed and said

"So, the accused pleads guilty. As the head of this court. I, along with the other jury members will decide on the punishment." With that the members of the jury stood and went to the room. Uriel stood at the high throne and said "What do you think should be the punishment?:"

[Harper Jones]

Harper leaned up against the wall and crossed her arms. She watched the other cabin leaders, minus Daphne, debate about his sentence. She rolled her eyes and sighed as she finally spoke her opinion. She talked louder than usual to be heard over everyone's bickering. "Restrict his powers. Restrict them so much that he can only do minor stuff." She raised her eyebrows at Uriel. "You know just as well as I do what he's capable of."

"No." Uriel said and turned to her. Giving her the cold look that no one dared defy. "If we do that, then we will need to put a lot of effort into restraining his power, since his power is that of the Primordial . He's Chaos' closest relative, giving the impression that his power is something that mere mortals cannot easily restrain. If we go with your plan, we will have to risk our lives. Chaos is very unpredictable, it can end up with us either turning to an insect.."

He turned to all of them and said "Or the camp getting destroyed, Adolf Hitler getting resurrected, and many other impossible things. Trust me, you don't want to mess with Chaos Energy." Uriel sighed and said "How about Camp Community Service?"

[Marius Rodomonte]

Marius looked at the others. "After hearing about everything he did, I think he needs something a bit more severe than that. Even though he is most likely the reason Erryn from Apollo cabin is alive right now, we can't give him any special treatment." He glared at both Uriel and Harper. "Now, let's think about this logically. This man caused more damage single handedly to the camp than anyone before. We need some way to restrain him. We also need something other than just plain old community service from him to make up for his crimes."

[Harper Jones]

Harper glared Uriel down. "Camp Community Service? Are you kidding me?" She threw her hands up in the air and sighed loudly. "Need I remind you that he destroyed the camp, kidnapped campers, and possessed campers?" She held up her hand that once held the back ring on it as a reminder. "He's not getting off as easily as community service. We need something harsher."

Uriel pinched the bridge of his nose and he glanced at the two, speaking in a frustrated tone "One does not simply punish a powerful demigod..." He slammed his hand on the table and said "Imprisonment under a highly secured dungeon in my military's bunker." Uriel glanced at all of them and said "What do you think?"

[Harper Jones]

Harper shrugged as she looked around the room. She still didn't think that imprisoning him wasn't enough. There was the possibility of him breaking out and escaping. Plus, she didn't trust Uriel that much. She sighed and rolled her eyes before she said, "We can always feed him to Peleus, you know. I think he'd like having some fresh meat this week."
