Rhys actually grinned at that. “Perhaps in a few days in this art building place I’ve heard mention of? I haven’t checked it out yet though…” He glanced over at her. “And yeah, I suppose it could be considered good. So of COURSE you’re going to improve and become a fantastic, famous artist.” He smirked. “I’d bet money on it.” Yes indeed, he felt much better now in comparison to the way he’d been feeling all day. This friendly bantering reminded him of time back in Aber. It was precisely the thing he’d do back with his better-known friends…. Which made him think, it would seem he had made a friend. “So… what things do you like to here, aside from not-drawing?”

Ariel couldn't help but roll her eyes at his confidence, part of her couldn't wait to watch him realise just how wrong he was. She was loving the friendly banter that they had going now, it didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable, more like they'd been friends far longer than half an hour or however long it took them to get out of that forest.
A blush formed when he asked what she liked doing here. Looking back it seemed that most of what she had done was talk to/make out with Rayne ... She decided that may have to change. Smling at she decided on the one thing that always made her feel good. "Swimming, at the beach or the lake. Surfing. And ... training. There's really not that much else to do. You gotta make your own fun!"

Rhys ran a hand through his hair, chuckling. First of all, he hardly doubted he was going to be wrong; the emotion, it felt so rare to him. Secondly, he didn’t miss her blush and couldn’t help the bit of curiosity that bubbled up within him, though he just managed to restrain himself from asking. It wasn’t really his place, considering he hadn’t known her that long. Nor was he her family or anything of that sort.
“Swimming, hmmm? I like swilling. Despite it being cooler, it was definitely fun back in Aber. Surfing however… I’ve never done that. What’s it like? Difficult to learn?” He cocked his head to the side in the same cute fashion as before, curious. “Perhaps I should strike you up on surfing lessons in exchange for art lessons.”

Ariel narrowed her eyes at him, he looked as if he were going to ask something but then didn't. She didn't know how she felt about that. When he said he went swimming in Aber though she smiled. "Dude, I'm from Melbourne. Its cold there!" She said rolling her eyes. She pursed her lips at his questions about surfing and whether it was difficult to learn. Looking him over her eyebrows furrowed. "How flexible are you?" An awkward question yes, but being inflexible and trying to surf ... doesn't really work. "Sure you'll be a pro in no time." She mocked his tone when he talked of her drawing skill, but she smiled at him so he would know she was just joking around.

Dude. There was a term he had rarely heard. It took him a moment to think about it. She had called him it, so hopefully it didn’t mean anything bad… Or so he hoped. Perhaps it was a greeting? A nickname? A word of friendship? He’d refrain from asking for now. He didn’t want to sound stupid. Then she continued speaking, and said something which immediately grabbed his attention. Rhys screwed up his face. Flexible? “Well, flexible enough to ride horses I suppose…. Though I am unsure of how ‘flexible’ that would be in relation to surfing.” He smiled at her mocking tone. “In any case, I’ll try it and see. Its better to try anything once than not.”

Ariel mentally cringed when she realised she'd said the word 'dude', She hated that word but sometimes just seemed to sometimes through it into conversation which annoyed her to no end. She hoped he wouldn't think too much of it and just let it go. Hearing his flexible comment she smiled at him again. "Well, you gotta be able to jump from lying down flat to on your feet. Takes some strength and flexibility to do that."
Ariel got a stabbing pain shoot through her chest as she remembered teaching her sister how to surf. Sylvia hadn't been very good at it because she wasn't very strong and not very flexible. Turning her head to the side for a second to try and fix her expression, deciding she would deal with the pain later. She sighed quickly and conjured up the same cheeky grin before turning back to him. "You're right, it's good to try things."

Rhys flashed his own version of the cheeky grin, would looked almost evil, from the foereign sensation it brought to his face. He outright laughed, shaking his head back and forth in good humor. “Well, Ariel, when shall our first exchange of lessons be? While I settle in, I’m bound to have some extra time, although if you’d feel more content to wait until after I get everything in order…? I’ll leave it up to you. I’m game for whenever.” The boy smiled. “And… ah…” He could just see a cabin, which he presumed to be hers, coming into sight. “Well, thank you for not trying to kill me or anything, even if our meeting was…. Odd.” He winked.

Ariel grinned back at Rhys at the idea of them swapping lessons. Pursing her lips for a second to think of when she'd be free to do it, she realized that it didn't really matter. She basically went wherever she wanted anyway. "Whever is good. So a drawing lesson for a surfing lesson. Until you realise that there isn't any point in art lessons because I'm hopeless." She said grinning again. She looked when he did, seeing the low grey buillding with green fire out the front coming out of the darkness, she realized, feeling a little sad, that their time together was about to end. At the mention of their meeting she thought back to it and blushed, still unable to believe that she had screamed. Shaking her head a little as she turned back to him, "Yeah ... Our meeting was a little odd. Let's not make it a tradition, right?" Ariel said unable to suppress the grin.
