Lazing Around (Open)

Ciel leaned back against a tree, basking in the midday heat on the water's edge, grinning in that stupid manner that he thought made him look good. There were a million and one other things that he could be doing at that moment, but to be honest, he really couldn't care less. Work was for lesser beings, which he was clearly not, as far as he was concerned. Besides, he already had a perfect six pack and great skill in combat, so what more did he actually need?

No doubt about it, life was good for this son of Zeus, and utterly nothing could bring him down. As he'd said many times before, "I'm awesome. If you disagree, then you can go to Hades."

Accalia was going to take her dog Frederick on a walk but he managed to run off without her knowing where he went. So, she decided she'd search for him. While on this endeavor she crossed a boy she'd never met leaning on a tree. She caught her breath, how had she never met this kid? She walked over to him.

"Um...come here often?" She said weakly and then cleared her throat, "Hi." She said in a more steady voice.

The boy was so absorbed in his own thoughts that he didn't even notice anyone arrive at first, though quickly snapped out of his reverie by an intake of breath nearby. Ciel didn't look up, but guessed that the newcomer was probably a girl, or so he hoped. Being his usual vain self, his initial thought was that she was so awestruck by him in general that she'd stopped dead in her tracks. A stupid theory that was justified mainly by her first attempt at speech, before regaining confidence.

Eventually turning his head to look up at what he now saw as a rather pretty girl who he was yet to introduce himself to, he replied, forming every syllable in a perfect, pure British accent, "Hi to you too. And yeah, I guess you could say that. What about you?"

An accent. Huh. Accalia wasn't expecting it and found it to be a pretty cool fact about this new guy she was meeting. He had a handsome enough face, and seemed to be nice. She smiled, which made the pink rose in her hair bloom even bigger. "I do actually. I have a little hide out that I grew over here." She took a few quick looks around, trying to see her dog but there was no sign of him. She sighed, "Have you seen a golden retriever around here?"

I was giving my Pegasus Draco an exercise cause he got lazy when he got to camp so I thought that he needs a power walk and then I saw 2 people so I went to them "hey you guys, In never met you" staring at the guy sitting at the base of the tree

Ciel smiled right back at the girl, his blue eyes widening slightly at the sight of the rose increasing in size. So she was pretty and talented."Daughter of Demeter, right? Nice to meet you, I'm Ciel."
He followed her gaze, though she didn't seem to be looking at anything in particular."Sorry, no. I'll keep an eye out for your dog, though."

It was then that he noticed a guy walking up the beach to them, though he didn't think that he knew him either. Making a mental note to become a lot more sociable, Ciel replied in his usual carefree tone, "Hi. No, I don't think we've met. I'm Ciel." He hoped that they wouldn't guess by his name which cabin he was from; it always felt good to sort of announce it.

"Yeah, Accalia. Daughter of Demeter definitely." She frowned when he said he hadn't seen her dog. She decided to walk around the glade a little in order to find him when Kad showed up. She knew he was a Posiden kid but they had never really talked, she threw out a little wave but kept searching in greenery for Fred.

"hey, I'm Kad, a child of Poseidon" oh boss can I have more sugarcubes please Draco said "no you had too many for today. You need an exercise

"Hey." Ciel moved towards Accalia as she went to turn away, holding out his hand to catch her arm, though thought better of it at the last minute. He realised, probably for the first time, that this sort of behavior was the reason for his being slapped on a regular basis and his lack of a girlfriend.

"I'll help if you want?" He asked, for once sounding genuine, and not as though he was only trying to impress a girl, which he may or may not have been doing. If he was honest with himself, he probably was just acting, though the Pegasus was making him a little uneasy. Winged horses seemed to completely freak him out, but Kad seemed nice enough.
"Awesome. Son of Zeus, at your service." Ciel smiled, allowing a minuscule lightning bolt to run down the length of his arm, for no particular reason."Gods, i can't believe i've never come across you guys. This must be one huge camp, eh?"

"yeah this is a huge camp and by the way this is my pet Pegasus Draco, Draco, Ciel. I can listen to him and he can listen to me cause my dad created horses so I can speack to any type of horses. Nice lightning bolt by the way" I looked over at Accalia "what are you doing?"

(Sorry I didn't answer this, I totally spaced on what this thread was called!)

Accalia shook her head and backed up, "Nah, I don't need help, he'll turn up." Accalia frowned and looked back at Ciel, "This is a huge camp, i'm not usually around much i'm mostly by the Lake, so I don't meet a lot of people. But I've been making more of an effort lately." She smiled weakly, she was glad that Ciel was nice. Although she did NOT like Pegasus. That was not improving her mood.

"Well, nice to...meet you, Draco. Uhh...Yup. Good." He said, a hint of weakness in in tone, though he tried to hide it, even going as far as to pat the Pegasus awkwardly on the head before pulling his hand away again."That's one fine Pegasus you've got yourself there, Kad."

He turned to Accalia, regaining his confidence by the second."Well, if you're sure. Good luck." He returned her smile, pleased to have met a couple of few people, and...a Pegasus.

"thanks and ok accalia. if you wan to ride on him go ahead" I patted Draco

Accalia shook her head nervously, "I don't ride those things." She took a few steps back, farther from the Pegasus and smiled at Ciel when he spoke. Just then, as if on cue, Frederick ran towards her, his golden hair sopping wet. He jumped up and knocked her to the ground. Accalia laughed, "Fred! Stop that!" She giggled as the dog licked her face.

Glad that he hadn't been offered a ride, Ciel smiled at Kad, before the one thing that he had never expected over the last few minutes happened. To start with, he just stood there, stunned by the fact that the dog had just reappeared, against all odds.
"Well, it looks like you didn't need help after all!" He said, getting over the initial surprise rather quickly.
