She said sarcasticlly in her french accent, rolling her eyes. "Taylor Mckinnon. Daughter of Apollo." She pulled Josh and James out of her handbag, holding them both in her hand, she petted them.

When they still didn't come, I decided to go around and socialize a bit. I walked around aimlessly. Harper was flirting with Cody. I smiled.

Taylor just scoffed. She hated when guys tried so hard. "Yes. I'm french. And please, stop trying so hard, even Josh and James can tell. And they are ferrets."

I smiled at Taylor's words. At least she didn't fall for his dumb attempts. I continued watching them from a distance.

Cody just smiled and looked at her "well Harper, you pick cause right now, we are standing in the middle of a party!" he said and smirked going to her other side "we can do whatever we want mr. D and Chiron aren't here!" he said and smiled and her "name it and it shall be done"

John sighed. "Am I really that bad that ferrets can tell?" he joked. He then looked at the critters in question. "Interesting choice of pets. Most people usually go with cats or dogs, you know. You are the first person I've met who has ferrets."

"Mon dieux, aidez-moi." Taylor said under her breath and turned to look at John. "Thanks. Most find them creepy." She rolled her eyes when she looked away. She didn't want to be rude to his face, so she just kept looking at the floor. "Viens. Quelqu'un promener ici et me sauver de ce stupide flirter" She muttered. She looked up as another guy sat next to her and inwardly groaned. Great. "Sérieusement!" She grumbled and looked at the guy. "I'm Taylor McKinnon, daughter of Apollo." She said again, shaking his hand.
Translations;
Mon dieux, aidez-moi. = My gods, help me.
Viens. Quelqu'un promener ici et me sauver de ce stupide flirter = Come on. Someone walk over here and save me from this stupid flirt
Sérieusement! = Seriously!

John wondered what Taylor was muttering when Kad sat down at the table. Great, he thought. Another one of my favorite people is here tonight. And he's interfering with the flirting. Can I get one break? John smiled when he saw Kad give up and walk away. Finally!
