Quest of the century. (Quest)

[Harper Jones]

Harper rolled her eyes as she stood up and brushed more dust off of her. Uriel was really toeing the line currently and she would kill him if he was even a hair over that line. She sighed. At least the rest of her posse weren't monsters, despite the bad feeling Uriel had about this 'evil' that was here. She walked up to them and was back in her element.

"Hey, boys," she said in her flirty voice as she batted her eyelashes. "Do you guys want to do something?"

Then she felt the tip of a dagger on her lower back as one of the guys leaned over her shoulder.

"Oh, we're doing something," he said with a evil smirk. "You're coming with us. And don't even think about getting your boyfriend to help. If we even think you're signaling him, you get a nice piercing in your back, understand?"

Harper gulped as she walked away with the guys with the dagger still trained on her back. She hoped that someone would notice something was wrong.

[Xenos Dhar]

Xenos grinned as Harper was led into the room. "Hello, Harper. How are you, today?" He was seated on a leather chair in the middle of the penthouse floor. "Would care to join me?" The child of the night motioned to a chair across from him. "I promise I won't do anything for right now. I just want to talk."

[Harper Jones]

Harper crossed her arms as she glared at the Nyx kid. "Can I at least get a towel or something? In case you haven't noticed, I'm in a bikini," she said as she sat down on the chair. "And if you wanted to talk, having your goonies hold me a knife-point doesn't set a positive mood."

[Xenos Dhar]

"Oh, I'm sorry." Xenos glared at one of said goonies, and they rushed to get Harper a towel. "Now, as for the knife point thing, I just told them to get you here unharmed, and this is what they came up. I didn't think they would draw a knife on you." A towel was offered t Harper. "Now, will you please have a seat?" Xenos motioned to the chair across from him once again.

[Harper Jones]

Harper wrapped herself in the towel and sat down on the chair once more.
"What is it?" she said while narrowing her eyes. "It had to be something important if you had to steal me away from my quest group without them knowing."

[Xenos Dhar]

"I must know." His face turned serious. "Why do you follow the Olympians? Haven't they caused you enough pain? Your tree is proof of that pain." Xenos sat back in his chair. "The Olympians expect us to sacrifice our loved ones, our lives, and our very sense of self. Do you want another painful memory?" He leaned forward in his chair towards her. "We can make it, so that you won't have to deal with pain like that again. Do you really want to lose another friend?"

[Harper Jones]

Harper froze and looked at him.
"How do you know?" she asked trying to keep her voice calm and even. But inside, she was breaking down. "How do you know about that tree? Barely anyone knows." She leaned in closer to him, tears threatening at the edge of her eyes. "He died trying to protect me, because I made a rash decision. The gods had nothing to do with it."

[Xenos Dhar]

"The gods planned it." Xenos glared at her. "They planned his death, so you could be here on this quest." He stood up and walked to the mini-bar. "But they don't know what to do about me. I'm outside of destiny right now. They can't see how I'll change this quest. You can do this also, you know." The child of the night turned towards her. "You can escape the pain of destiny. You'll be able to stop the eventual loss you will feel." Xenos paused. "The Olympians will require loss and sacrifice. It's how they sustain themselves. Why do you think you burn a portion of your food for them? It's because they like the smell? That's a lie. It's because they need someone to sacrifice something for them."

[Harper Jones]

Harper glared at him. "You lie," she said through gritted teeth. She crossed her arms. "His death and this quest have nothing in common. So stop trying." She stood up and started walking towards the door. She had enough of this. "I'd join the Hunters before I'd ever join you."

[Xenos Dhar]

"Then, explain it to me." Xenos glared at her again. "The Olympians know our fates, right? Then' why won't they help the children they so love? They don't even have to tell us our fates, or save from the monsters. They would just have to tell us how to avoid losing our loved ones." He walked over towards her. "Why won't they let us keep them? I know you've asked yourself that millions of times since losing Jethro. I know, i have. I don't ever stop thinking about Isabella, and how they won't let me be with her. Why wouldn't they let Jethro stay with you? TELL ME! TELL ME WHY! WHY MUST US HEROES SACRIFICE OUR LOVED ONES!" It was a few seconds before Xenos calmed down. "Why can't you be with Jethro, huh?"

[Harper Jones]

Harper stopped as she gripped the door knob. The most logical thing to do was to just open the door and leave. But Harper was rash.

"YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND TRUE LOSS!" she screamed as him as she whipped around to face him. Tears were welling up in her eyes. She was in a rage. "Your Isabella is in a coma, but she's still alive. At least you can go visit her, hug her, whatever. Jethro is gone! I can't do that." A couple of stray tears ran down her cheeks. "And he's not with me because he died trying to protect me. If he didn't jump in front of that minotaur, I'd be dead. He sacrificed himself for my life. He had a choice! The gods can't interfere with that."

[Xenos Dhar]

Rage ran across his face for just a fraction of a second. "Now, don't tell me I don't know true loss. My father is dead because of what I am. My Isabella's sou...." Xenos looked like he almost given away something he shouldn't. He muttered under his breath. "Get out. Don't bother trying to find this room again. It won't be here." He turned around and walked to the bed. Xenos stood there for a second before falling onto it. "Don't forget as long as you follow them, they will ask for more."

[Harper Jones]

Harper glared at him for a few minutes before she opened the door and slammed it behind her. She wiped the tears from her face as she made her way back down to the beach. How dare he try to recruit me using Jethro... It didn't bother her at the moment how he found out about Jethro.
She walked onto the beach and saw Uriel still talking with the girls. She made some lame excuse to pull him away from them.
"He's here," she said trying to keep her voice even, but she was visibly upset.

Uriel was talking to the blonde girl, with a smile he said "Really now? I'm pretty sure that the capital of America is Washington D.C not Tokyo..." Uriel said, the girl was drunk no doubt. She kept giggling to her self while he just watched. She did look like Dawn. Uriel smiled, he was tempted to kiss her. But she wasn't Dawn. Dawn wouldn't let her self get drunk.


Uriel saw Harper approaching, with that Uriel grabbed a bone-like dagger, Uriel leaned closer to the blonde woman and whispered "Good night, you'll have no memory of this in the morning.." With that he injected the bone knife at her neck, with a clean cut Uriel pulled it back and saw Harper pull him away, Uriel then said

"You okay, you seem a little off." Uriel asked and stared at her, Uriel then heard about Xenos. Uriel grabbed his pearl and said "Where is that son of scum?" Uriel asked Harper, readying his spear

Spines flew at Uriel and Harper. Screams could be heard from across the beach. Two manticores leapt from a nearby ledge. There tails hidden behind them. "Now, little demigods come with us, please. We need you in one piece." One of them growled. They split up trying to corner the two demigods.
