I GET TO PICK THE FLOWERS (Xenos&Dawn&OPEN)

[Harper Jones]

Harper had to do a lot of convincing, but she finally was back in Camp Half-Blood with her fiance. She realized that a lot of her friends and family didn't know about the engagement and she just wanted to see their expressions when she told them. What she did with Charlotte was okay, but she wanted to see the expressions.

She tugged on Xenos's hand as they walked through the strawberry fields. "I just need a few hours and then we can leave," she told him as she continued walking. They were in the middle of moving to California and she wanted to move over there just as much as he did. "Just a few hours... I just want to tell them the news and show them the ring." And a couple more goodbyes... Harper could never have enough goodbyes.

"All right, but I'm still going to keep myself hidden for most of the time. I don't want any unnecessary fights happening because of me." Xenos said as he held onto Harper's hand. His powers keeping himself hidden from anyone he didn't want seeing him. "How are you going to tell them? Are you just going to say it outright?" He asked his fiancee with a raised eyebrow. The son of the night was trying not to be overly careful and ruin this for her. He wanted her to be happy while she told her family about their wedding.

Harper rolled her eyes. Part of her wished that her fiance would have let her do this trip on her own, but he was protective of her, which was something she needed. She needed someone to make sure that she didn't get too rash, which always got her in trouble. "I don't know," she told him honestly as she glanced up at him. "I have no clue how I'm going to break the news to them... I guess go with the flow?" She took deep breaths as she felt the butterflies kick up in her stomach. "And don't be... surprised if I... elaborate on the proposal," she warned him as she kept walking through the strawberry fields.

Dawn had surprise, been in the strawberry fields just hanging out, enjoy the summer air. Ever since Harper left she had been spending more time outside, everyone else was tense, like something was going to be bad. Since Dawn didn't like bad things she simply stayed away. People had seem to be leaving a lot. Harper, John, nergels. Lots of her friends have left. It didn't bother her she just had to find them again, and today she happen to do just that when she heard crunching of dirt and talking. Popping her head over the bush all James Bond like she blinked a few times before going and ape and screaming "HARPERRRR" then proceeding to run towards her half sister and who ever she was with and then pounce like a cougar on her.

Xenos let go of Harper's hand as Dawn charged at her, deciding to keep himself hidden for a little while longer. His arms folded in front of his chest as he watched them. He kept quiet, having decided only on revealing himself if Harper told him too. A smirk appeared on his face as he made a lounge chair out of the shadows and reclined on it. His head rested on his hands as he waited. The Primordial child was even hidden to his fiancee, not being able to just let one person see him while he hides.

So many things happened at once that Harper wasn't sure what was happening. She heard her named screamed out just as her fiance let go of her hand right before she was pounced. She screamed as she was tackled to the ground before she saw that familiar blond hair. "Dawn!" she cried out as she hugged her half-sister close to herself. She got really giggly before she pulled away to look up at her sister. "I'm so glad to see you." Her face brighten as she looked up at her. "I have so many things to tell you... do you know if the rest of the cabin is around?"

Dawn was glade she could hug Harper again. She was her favorite sibling since she was the only one who didn't try to get her to stop being her. "Me too! You've miss too much and everyone is acting weird since you left and you need to make them stop with your cabin leader-ness!" she said, barley breathing she was talking so fast. "And no everyone i think is at the cabin. Except Achilles, he left a while ago. I haven't seen Accalia around either. Everyone is poofing and i don't like it!" she said, finally catching her breath with a annoyed huff. "but anyways more on you! Where have you been, What have you been doing? Did you bring me a new pet?" she said, giggling after the last one since she was just joking,

Achilles left? Accalia not around? Harper's heart sunk a little bit. How much had changed in her cabin since she left? She barely had the chance to get a word in before Dawn changed the topic completely. About her? Harper's face got a little wider as she thought about it. "Well," she said before she giggled. "I didn't bring you a pet... But I've been busy. Xenos and I are packing up and moving to California. And..." She brought left hand up to Dawn's face to show off the flower-shaped sparkler on her ring finger. "He proposed to me. I'm getting married!"

THE RING

Dawns face studied the ring for a minute, the words trying to connect in her head before she let out a scream and hugged her sister. "YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED" She repeated, jumping up and down so much flowers started to pop out. She was so happy! She loved weddings they were so pretty and white and pretty and PRETTY!! "CAN I PICK YOU'RE FLOWERS PLEASE PLEASE YOU KNOW I'M GOOD AT IT!" she said basically screaming. Something else clicked a moment later and Dawn's joy fell slightly. "Wait. California.. that's all the way across the country, I won't get to see you i you're over there..."

Harper's face grew wider and she started giggling as Dawn started screaming. "I AM!" she cried back as she hugged her sister close. THIS was the kind of reaction to her engagement that she wanted. Not written words on a computer screen, but to actually see her sister process the information and to get the look on her face. "Of course!" she cried out as she hugged her sister close. "Of course you can. You always pick out the prettiest flowers I've ever seen." Then her heart dropped a bit when Dawn pointed something out about her California move. "I know," she said as she gave her sister a gentle smile. "But I'll probably come back to visit... or you can come visit me and we can go to Disneyland."

Dawn just starred at her half sister for a few seconds before screaming once again. "DISNEYLAND YESSSSSSSSSSSSS" She screamed, jumping up and down. Dawn really liked Disneyland, even though she had never been there. All she knew about it was that they had princess and rides and magic. All things Dawn never had seen before and wanted to see so badly. She heard stories of it but had never been. "So when is the wedding? I need to know for the season because I'm thinking if its soon a batch of flowers may be too dull but if i have enough time i can get the nergels to make some lovely painted flowers!" she said happily.

Harper laughed as her sister screamed about Disneyland. Harper never went there herself, but now she was living so close to it, she would have to drag Xenos along with her. She giggled a bit before she was dumbfounded by Dawn's question. "Um... I don't know," she said with a shrug. "With this entire moving thing... I haven't had a chance to sit down and plan out we want to do..." She shrugged. "Maybe a summer or a fall wedding." She turned to where she thought her fiance was before she said. "What do you think, Xenos? Summer or fall wedding?"
