I have been thinking that perhaps one of Ariel's old friends from back in Australia was a demigod and only found out recently and made their way to camp while she is on a quest.
I was thinking that they both really liked each other and had been friends for years until Ariel's sister died, though he doesn't actually know how it happened or why Ariel really moved away. So it would be a serious shock for both of them to reconnect at camp.
He can have whatever name, godly parent and playby you would like. The only things that I'm going to suggest on is that he is between 18 and 19 and that he and Ariel went to school together and that he had no knowledge of being a demigod until a few weeks ago (so no crazy unexplained goings on). Play around with the personality and anything you'd like and if you get stuck just let me know.
