It took a lot of talent to throw a knife and to actually hit the target. Audrey was one of the few people in camp who could do it consistently with knife after knife. Some people called her crazy that she preferred a weapon so tiny, but she liked it.

That was why she was at the arena one fall afternoon at the archery section. She didn't have a bow and arrow, but she threw her knives at the target from where the archer would stand. Each one of them hit the inner rings. Once Audrey finished up the basket of knives beside her, she picked up the basket and walked over to the target so she could collect her knives and start again.

Kad decided to go to the arena to see how he will do with his new sword but he also had a different reason to go. He also wanted to keep his mind busy from thinking about the cyclops and what he'll do to him when he sees him again. When he got in the arena, he saw a girl throwing knives at an archery range. He noticed that the girl was throwing the knives consecutively which to him seem hard to do, especially if what your throwing was meant to cut things. He kept walking and didn't notice that in front of him was a pile of weapons. He fell over the pile and his sword slid till it stopped close to the girl.

He got up and noticed that he didn't have his sword. He thought that he lost it in the pile of weapons that he just tripped over so he started looking in it. He just hoped he didn't already lose his gift from his father, Poseidon, which was given to him by his half-brother, Triton. If he already lost it, he would hit himself till next year because he doesn't even know what else it can do and plus he would lose the only thing that connects him to his father that he soon hoped that he would meet. He tossed weapons here and there, till he tossed the last sword in the pile and saw that his sword wasn't there He stood up and looked at the mess he created which he didn't really care about. Right now, all he cared about was finding that sword.

Audrey didn't notice that a boy stepped foot into the area while she was throwing her knives. If she did notice, she really didn't care either. For all she cared, he could have been the scum underneath her feet. It didn't phase her that he tripped over a pile of weapons and his sword slid up to her. Even that happened, she already picked up her basket and walked over to the target to collect her knives.

She had to yank out some of the knives because of how deep they were into the target, but she got all of them soon enough. She walked back only to find a boy sprawled out on the floor frantically searching for something. After a quick glance around the mess, Audrey spotted what the boy was looking for and kicked the sword towards him. "I hope you're not this clumsy with your sword fighting as you are now," she said calmly as she set her basket of knives down on the ground.

Kad noticed the girl kick over his sword and he frantically grabbed for it. He looked in awe of it and he heard the girl say how clumsy looking he is right now. Ok he admits that he may look a little clumsy but hey, it's a gift. He would do anything to find this sword even go to Tartarus and back just to get it. He also heard the girl say something about his ability in sword fighting.

"I honestly, don't know much about sword fighting because well, I never really tried to teach myself how to but if you want to fight then let's fight. Try not to go easy on me, ok? I want to see how well I can use this new sword." He looked at her thinking that he's going to win this fight because with those knives, he might as well be fighting a telekhine all over again. Looks easy enough, all I have to do is beat this girl with my sword and I'll win. Cool, he thought.

Audrey raised her eyebrows when the boy in front of her said he never really knew how to sword fight, but then proceeded to challenge her to a battle. She lifted one hand up as she shook her head. "There is no use challenging a hunter when you are clearly just a newbie at this." She put her basket of knives down as she picked up one of them from her pile. "Even if you think this might be a battle of size, all men tend to think so... it's really the technique that will let you win."

Then she whirled around and threw her knife right at the target where it hit the bulls eye. She smirked to herself as she turned around to look back at the boy. "Do you still want to battle me?" She chuckled a bit. "I will not hold it against you if you want to go train some more before challenging me. It makes for a more exciting battle if the other person is experienced."

Kad started thinking about what the girl said. It started getting to him because he really wants to be an excellent swordsman since the incident. Although he didn't understand it completely. He understood enough to see her point. "Since I am a newbie at sword fighting, maybe…you can be my mentor. Teach me some techniques so that I could be better and then we can fight to see if I'm good at it or not." Kad looked at her excitedly, waiting for her response and at the same time, hoping that she would not be like the things that the other campers said about the hunters like not really liking guys, etc. He also wanted to learn more about sword fighting so that when he finds the cyclops, he can finally kill him and get revenge for what he did to him and his family.

He sees her throw the knife and hit it in the bull's eye. He was impressed at what she could do and started dreaming of a day when he too can be good with a weapon. He didn't realize that the girl was looking at him after she threw the knife and he also didn't notice that his mouth was wide open. When he did notice it, he quickly closed his mouth and started thinking of something to say but all that came out of his mouth was silence then uhm. Now, he felt like a complete idiot in front of her and tried to stop looking at the knife and the girl but he couldn't because he was so amazed at her skill.

Audrey blinked once. Twice at the boy while she decided what to say to him. He thought she could teach him sword fighting? He had a very long road ahead of him. "Sword fighting is not my area of expertise," she calmly told him as she slowly pulled knives out of her basket and placed them on the various holsters around her body. "If you wanted to learn how to fight with a knife, then I would be happy to assist, but a sword is something I cannot."

Audrey sighed as she put away the last of her daggers, but still had one spot missing. She glanced over at the target before muttering something about it being too far away. She glanced over at Kad before narrowing her eyes. "Close your mouth. You don't want bugs flying in it." She chuckled a bit before adding, "But I can give you names if you are interested in learning how to sword fight."
