sure how she felt about this new...position they were in. She had the upper hand only moments ago but he used that stupid hammer to flip over. Plus he was so cold she couldn’t feel her fingers anymore. She felt annoyed, that he couldn’t control his temperature. She was expecting to land on something hot, the cold didn’t suit her. She looked into his eyes, noticing that he was staring at her. Her cheeks started to turn red as well when she noticed the color of his. Finally, his cheeks actually caught fire. She let go of his wrists quickly in order to back away from his face but it didn’t help. His entire body had started to heat up and she was right in the thick of it. She tried not to scream as her skin started to burn. She knew there would be hand marks on her thighs from those burning hands. Finally he pushed away and she realized her clothes were on fire. She started to panic. As the hyperventilating started she noticed he was just trying to help. That was nice of him, but he was only making it worse! She wanted to laugh but was also starting to feel searing pain all over her body. “Stop touching me!” She yelled, shoving him with all her might, she began to roll to put out the flames. Hector Rodriguez tags;Amelia; notes;Super nova; words;275 Hector's flames on his body slowed down as he breathed out, watching her roll as he brought his own powers under control. It was harder then expected. So, while his emotions are going out of control, that calm Mechinical part of him realized one solutions that might work.
Hector took a few steps back into the Flame pyramid, and felt his control strengthen. He couldn't shut his powers off, but he could exhaust himself. The gem's on his swords started to glow brightly, and all the flames in the arena rushed towards him as well as most of the heat in the arena. Hector started to glow with all the heat, and then, he let it all out.
The flames didn't leave the triangle, but they roared upwards in a blinding light. It was the first time in years that he went like this. He called it going super nova, when his powers raged out of control. It was the last function of the Flame Pyramid. To contain him in case of it. Hector's clothes started to burn away due to the extreme heat, his arms wide as a scream escaped from his lips, drowned out by the flames around him. They only reached 20 feet high, but lasted only five seconds before they died out, making hector fall to his knees panting.
"Are you okay?" he called out, looking over to her. He forced his tired legs up, walking over slowly. Super nova's always exhausted his powers for 24 hours, so his body temperature was back to normal, warmed from the flames.

Amy Williams i set fire to the rain As she finally got rid of the flames she sat up in time to see him step back under the bird. She looked down at her clothes, not too much skin was showing which was a relief. Her clothes here always thick when readying for battle. What she didn't expect was the next thing she saw happen. She was more irritated that anything, there wasn't really anything she could do about the situation. It all happened to fast and her skin was burning. She could even see blisters starting to form. She felt a tear prick her eye but quickly pushed it aside roughly with her hand, which hurt too.
She was relieved that the flames stayed within the area around him. The last thing she wanted was more burns. She wasn't sure why it was entirely necessary but it was a pretty show. As the flames got higher a scream escaped his lips. Amelia reached out towards him, as if she could help. As soon as they died and he fell to his knees she began crawling on her hands and knees in his direction. She probably could have stood if she tried, but she didn't want to. When he began walking towards her, she stopped crawling and sat where she was.
"I'm not sure," she answered truthfully leaning away from him. She wasn't sure if she wanted him touching her. "I think i'll be fi-" she started to say before collapsing to the ground completely.

Hector Rodriguez tags;Amelia; notes;Super nova; words;275 Hector saw he go down and shuffled over, his legs begging to let to stop moving and sleep, but his brain wasn't listening. Holding ass messages from his body, hector collapsed down to his knees, and looked at her. His hand reached out, pausing a moment before touching her. His hand refused to do so, and he clenched his fist, hard enough that his own nails dug into his flesh, making himself bleed. He reached out shook her lightly, asking in a horse voice," Amy. you good?" he asked, getting no response.
He rolled her over, and noticed that a lot of her clothes had burned away. His eye went wide, looking away from her legs. Not that they weren't good legs. Just...wow. hector blushed and patted her face lightly, for her sake as well as his. He could feel her skin, and paused, his hand pausing on her cheek, realizing that she was out cold. But...this was another person? Another person's flesh? He shivered, and realized he would have to get her help. He looked at her, his hand letting go and then looked around, seeing a lot of his weapons around, then down at her.
"Jeez," he said, and slowly slipped his arms under her, and picked her up in her arm. He forced himself up, his knees weak and his body screaming to burn the person against him to a crisp. If he hadn't exhausted his power, he might have. His body was screaming to drop her and run away, jump in a lake and scrub himself clean, but he resisted. He forced himself a leg at a time out of the arena towards the Infirmary.
Hector managed to get there himself, open the door and put her onto a table before falling onto the floor. He didn't even feel the floor when he hit.
Hector blinked away, feeling bandaged where amy had sliced him up. He groaned, feeling sore and drained. He propped himself up on his elbows, looking around and spotting Amy. "Hey," he said, giving her a smirk."You okay?" he asked.

Amy Williams i set fire to the rain Amy was...irritated to say the least. She had never been knocked out in an Arena battle before and had certainly never been taking to the infirmary after one. Sure, she'd been here once or twice when a real monster attacked but never after fighting a camper. She lay there with her eyes open feeling embarrassed and annoyed. She didn't want to look at Hector who was a few feet away from her. The bandages she wore were driving her crazy, but if she tried to take them off someone would always come in and stop her.
Then she heard him groan and couldn't help but look over at him. Finally his eyes found her and he spoke with that smug little smirk on his face. She couldn't be mad anymore. He had brought her here and was still smiling. He liked battle just as much as she did. She raised an eyebrow at him after propping herself up on an elbow as well. "I think i'll be fine. What about you, fire boy?" She smirked right back and stared into his one eye.

Hector Rodriguez tags;Amelia; notes;Secrets under the patch; words;400 "ha ha," he said at the fire boy comment. He pushed himself up, and realizing someone gave him pain medication. He would grumble about that one later. He hated meds. He suffered through his eye getting cut open. Everything else after that kind of wasn't even close. He didn't like feeling groggy.
"Sore as hell," he said, touching the bandages on his chest. He looked down and saw that they cut his shirt open to. Okay, that was just un-called for. They got his jacket off but couldn't get the shirt off? He checked his pants and was glad he still had those.
"And feeling like someone put me through a machine meant to inflict cuts all over my body." He smirked, and used his other hand to feel the bandage on his face. Course, then he felt his patch was gone. Felt his eyes, and the scar running from his eyebrow down to the bottom of his eye in the middle. He looked around, and grabbed it, slipping it on. Now he was angry. He just got touched all over, his shirt torn, and they took his patch off. The patch was crossing a line.
"Who the hell is running this joint?" he asked, and pulled his neckless to bear, and said the activation word to both the fox and the Eagle. They sprang to full size life as an Apollo camper came in, and they saw the bots and froze. "Never. Touch. My. Eyepatch." they nodded, and Hector sagged again, saying," Fox. Eagle. Find Hawk and Clean up in the arena. Bring my gear back to the forge. After that, report back." There was a small blink in their eyes, and they raced out past the scared Nurse.
Hector reached over, and grabbed the brace and the force gun on the bed side table, slipping the later into his pockets and activating the brace. "Why is it the ares girls always seems to kick my ass," he thought, not saying it as his hammer flew in, connecting to his hand. Hector smirked, and put it down. he felt a lot better now. Course, when he looked over at her, he knew she just saw his old scar and knew the questions were coming, so he said," You can ask if you want."

Amy Williams Notes; Sorry it’s been so long! A lot of crazy things happened these last two months. If you don’t want to continue this thread anymore I totally understand! Lemme know. “I’m sorry, I guess we may have gotten a little out of hand.” She chuckled as she apologized, “But I get the feeling with both fight pretty hard. Always.” She said matter of factly. It was true for her at least. And he didn’t fight like an amateur. He knew what he was doing out there.
Her eyes wandered over his body, trying to gage the damage she had done. He didn’t look nearly as bad as she felt. His shirt was cut open which was kind of a nice bonus. She followed his gaze down to his pants and chuckled, “Glad you still have those?” she asked with a smirk. She winced at his next description of being put through a machine and she leaned closer. The cuts were easier to see now, and the dried blood was almost all washed away. Still- her katana did some damage. She would reward it for that later.
She looked away, into her hands, as he found his eye patch. She pretended she hadn’t noticed the scar, or the way he yelled once he had placed the patch back on his face. She couldn’t help but laugh out loud as he threatened the poor little Apollo kid who came in. After the mechanical animals passed her, the camper whimpered a little as she ran out, probably to go tell on Hector to Chiron or something.
“Well, we just have a special… charm?” She muttered at his question. The truth was most of her sisters were a little more butch that she was. That worked to her advantage because she was slender and could fit through tighter spaces than they could. Granted, she couldn’t knock people down as easy. “Well, I guess I have charm. My sisters and I get good practice, fighting each other and all.” She said truthfully.
She jumped almost a foot high when the hammer came flying in. She put a hand over her heart to steady her breathing. She had seen what that thing could do, and it was freaky. As soon as he gave her permission to ask she wasn’t sure if she wanted to, “I’d rather talk about less personal things, especially with that hammer around.” She smiled.

Hector Rodriguez tags;Amelia; notes; And then he proves us wrong; words;304; Hector's temper cooled quickly, not having the energy to keep it going. His fire had cooled to embers. "Wouldn't have it any other way," he said about the fighting. He didn't have a clue that that could be flirting.
"Oh...didn't realize I said that out loud," He said, chuckling at the comment. He blushed, rubbing his patch. He looked away from her and at the small bed table, listening. He chuckled again, saying," Well, you definitely pushed me to my limited a heck of a lot more, so I would say yeah you have charm. Hell," he said, cutting off and looking at his own hand. He flexed his hand into a fist then relaxed it. it had been forever since he had touched someone that wasn't a fist, he didn't even know how to say that.
He decided not to and laughed as he patted his hammer. "Don't take it the wrong way, but I'm a lot more comfortable around people with this. Even now." he touched it, then looked back at her with his one eye. "Still, call me bad but I'm glad I got some good blows in on you before you exhausted my power. I don't think I'll be able to produce an ember for days."
"And you better now," A girl said, walking in. Hector looked up, and then rolled his eye. "I've been patching you up more times from these ares fights then most. How come it's the Ares girls that always give you more injuries then the boys? Going soft?" She teased him. Hector rolled his eye again, saying," Mostly because I'm not an idiot to go up against your brother Sylvia." He smirked, knowing that Jay would be a hard opponent to beat. Hell, that 7 foot giant was someone he wasn't going to fight till he had a rigged deck and possible a gun. He edged away as Sylvia came close, and she just sighed, walking over to Amelia and asking," Have you both been treated? I've got better placed to be."
Hector's eye brow twitched, and he couldn't help it. "Like stalking what's his face." A second later he was holding his forehead as she threw a clipboard at it. "God's damn it," he said, seeing her walk out. "Jeez," he said, falling back. He wasn't even going into how he knew her, only that she asked for some advice and a telescope to spy on someone. It was a gold mine, but not his secret to tell.
"So, what's your last name," He asked, curious.

Amy Williams and then there were none She was glad when he seemed to relax. She wasn’t in the mood to start fighting in the middle of the infirmary. She was pretty sure that was against the rules. She started to laugh at his comment about not having it any other way, but her side suddenly starting hurting a ridiculous amount. She lay back down on her pillow and tried not to look like she was going to scream, even though she wanted to. She turned her head to face him so that she could still hear him talk.
“What? Hell what?” She asked. He sounded like he was going to continue complimenting her, which wasn’t a problem. Granted, it seemed as though it was a major problem for him. He was nice and all but sort of impersonal. Probably had something to do with that scar on his eye and his hatred of contact. She felt bad that he had carried her all the way over here. She was feeling guilty that she was hurt enough not to walk over herself. That was stupid of her, to get hurt like that.
She looked up towards the ceiling before answering his next comment, “You did get me pretty good, and I commend you for that. I am also relieved that you won’t be able to fry me anytime soon.” She sounded calm and casual but she felt like her insides were burning. Soon a girl, Slyvia he called her, had entered. She smirked at him and teased him. Which was weird. Apparently he did have friends. As soon as she made the snotty/sort of helpful/what was she even doing here comment about their treatment, Amelia decided not to speak up about the pain-Hector soon pissed her off and she left anyway. There goes that moment.
Amelia found herself feeling frustrated and angry. It was easy to be that way; it was in her nature as a daughter of Ares. But her mother had taught her to always find the best in life and to always have fun. She wasn’t feeling very fun right now. She still didn’t look at him, “Williams. I’m from Brooklyn/England or something. Whatever that means.” She almost snapped at him. Then she sighed and propped herself up on her elbow again to face him, “Sorry. What’s yours?” She asked, trying to remember what a smile felt like.

Hector Rodriguez tags;Amelia; notes; And then he proves us wrong; words;304; Hector's face turned red when she asked hell what. He didn't want to say it. He shook his head, saying," Don't mind that. Just thinking out loud." He was not going to say she was the first person he ever held that close with out trying to kill them. The first person he ever helped like that. Most of the time it was a first, a chop or even a blade coming at him. Even if it was a battle, it was strange. His skin was still crawling from the human contact, and he felt like he wanted to bath in fire (very relaxing by the way) to stop it.
When she snapped, hector's eye widened, wondering where that came from. "I didn't even do anything," He thought, leaning his head forward to look at her. Hector leaned it back before she saw, wondering now. "it's not like I would burn you if I could," He said, still looking at the cieling. He rolled, getting his legs up on his pillows and letting his head hand over to look at her. He didn't care what he looked like.
"Arouny. It's a Spanish name...I think. Born and raised in mexico though, senorita." he said, smirking at that a little. He had to throw that in. He tapped his eye patch," I'm in no hurry to go back though. Some people there... would rather turn me into a corpse for running away." His mood darkened, but then forceably brightened. "Not that that's important. I was just one of many, and I don't want to leave the states."

Amy Williams i'm burnin' up, burnin' up He wouldn’t burn her. Of course he wouldn’t, they were in an infirmary and he wasn’t a jerk. At least as far as she could tell he wasn’t. “That’s...very nice of you.” She muttered. Then she shook it off, literally she sat up and shook out her limbs and her face. It hurt but it made her feel a little better. She sighed and her expression softened, “sorry about that. Just needed to release some bad energy.” Now all she needed to do was beat the crap out of somebody. Not just any unsuspecting innocent, but someone rude. Someone she hated. Or, a monster. That would work. She made a mental note to visit the forest after she was freed from her injuries.
She lay back down on her side and smiled as he explained his name, “Senorita? I like that. I like your name too.” She commented. A smile had returned to her face, his mischievous smirk helped with that. She frowned along with him when he mentioned people wanting him dead. She wasn’t sure what to say except then suddenly he claimed it was not important. She shook her head.
“I think it’s pretty important. Especially if there are many people with that situation. Makes me want to put a stop to it.” She said seriously, she clenched her fists and released them. A relaxing technique before speaking again, “I don’t like it when people hurt my friends. Whether it was years ago or not.” She regretted the words as soon as she said them. She didn’t know if he considered them friends. Maybe he didn’t. He didn’t hate her though, that was clear. And she didn’t hate him. That was as good as friendship to Amelia.
Soon she smiled and lay on her back, facing the ceiling again, “The states are pretty exciting. I’ll probably visit London someday though. Maybe even Bangladesh, or something.”

Hector Rodriguez tags;Amelia; notes;And then he proves us wrong; words;304;
"Well, someone has to like it," he muttered. Personally, he wanted to change it to something else. Anything else. This was his mother's last name he and personally wanted to forget it. Forget everything before camp if he could, but he kind of had a permanate reminder of that.
He laughed what she said next, saying," I mean it doesn't matter since they don't know where I am, and if they try, I'm not 12 anymore." He clenched his fist."If they come, They will end up dead first. And I don't see you slumming it in mexico to deal with drug lords and gangsters." He gave her a look of don't. He wasn't gonna go back even if he could. He had enough. If they came after him, one orphan that was decent on a sax, that was their problem. "Thanks though. I appreciate it," He said, not realizing her delema at all.
Hector's face went down cast at her plans. He didn't know what to do after camp."I...Don't know. I've only ever been a black smith. Seeming to plan for the future...it's weird. I hope you get to visit london though." he smiled, but didn't say how he always figured he would be a demigod that mysteriouskly got eatten by a monster. He always saw each day as borrowed time and lived it. Planning the future? He didn't even know what he was eatting later.

Amy Williams and then there were none She nodded and smiled, “No, you are definitely not 12. I would be very upset if I was mauled by a 12 year old.” She chuckled. She noticed his fists clench tightly and then looked back at his face. She smiled again at his overly protective don’t even try it look, “trust me, I can say I would try it but I like having fun a lot more than dying.” She put her hands up I surrender. He was getting a little intense. Which was understandable considering the situation he was in. She nodded in respond to his thanks but didn’t say anything.
“I know planning our futures is kind of a joke but I just can’t live with all that… fear, you know?” She thought about other campers who had died young, but she just didn’t see that happening to herself. She was already 18, practically an adult and she had made it that far. Who can say she wouldn’t last longer? She was going to leave here, and soon. She nodded at his comment about the future being weird. She understood, most campers thought that way.
“Well, I just can’t afford to think like that. I have too much ambition to hang out day by day with no plans,” she smiled, “and I’ll visit London. Trust me. I’m going to get as many friends as I can and we will make an insane road/boat/plane trip out of it.” She was about to say that he should come, but she could tell he didn’t like people. Let alone crowds.
