Princess instantly felt comfort when Audrey's arms were around her. She couldn't even think straight, didn't realize what she was doing when her own arms went around the girl, her head nuzzling into her shoulder. She tried as hard as she possibly could to calm herself down and stop the tears, to be strong for Audrey. "I don't...I don't even know what he'll do. I know nearly everything, Audrey. I know what he wants to do and how he wants to do it. What if he thinks I'm going to warn everyone? The only reason I haven't is because I'm terrified." Her words came out a bit shaky, but understandable. She honestly didn't know what Gideon would do to her if he thought she was going to tell Chiron or something.

She glanced down at her wrist, not even wanting to move because she felt strangely safe with Audrey holding her. "I do have to be sorry." She noted the book that seemed to have been thrown on the floor. "I wasn't even asleep that long..You probably wanted to read a lot more than that." She whispered the words, sniffling a bit to rid herself of any lingering tears. "I don't want to be a burden." And she really didn't. She didn't want to get in anyone's way. She didn't want someone to just drop everything for her, it didn't feel right. She didn't deserve it. She'd messed up too much in life for that kind of care.

Audrey took deep, even breaths as Pri snuggled up against her. She adjusted her arms so they were wrapped a little bit tighter around her. "I don't know what he'll do either," she said calmly as a plan formulated in her mind. "But I'll make sure that he won't touch you. You're valuable to both sides... I'm pretty sure that between me and Chiron, we'll develop some sort of protection for you. I'll make sure of it."

She looked down at the other girl and smiled a bit before she chuckled. "That old thing?" She said as she shook her head. "It's a book about tactical warfare. For an Ares kid, that's light reading since I already know most of it." She sighed as she frowned a bit. "You're not being a burden. I like you and if I didn't wouldn't be doing all of this for you. I want to make sure you're okay, Pri."

Princess felt her cheeks flush again when Audrey spoke of protection. "If I keep doing what I have been, I'll be fine. There's always someone else in the forge, you don't need to go to all of the trouble." She whispered the words, having to turn her gaze away from the girl, choosing to simply nuzzle her again for no good reason. The look of determination on the girls face, the feeling of protection, it sent her heart into overdrive, and she only hoped that Audrey couldn't feel it.

The next words didn't help. Liked her? Duh, idiot. She was under your orders at one point, remember? You're her friend and she respects you. Nothing more. Princess just wanted her brain to shut up. Anyways, there was no way Audrey felt that way for her. She shook her head slightly, to shake out the thoughts, which resulted in another nuzzle. "Thank you..." She was finally able to whisper after a moment, not really trusting herself to say anything else while her heart was going crazy.

Audrey calmly looked at Princess as her eyebrows raised a bit as she turned down her offer of protection. "You mean standing in the forge all day doing nothing?" she clarified before she gave a sigh of defeat and shook her head. "Fine. Just know that the offer still stands. He's not going to get away with hurting you either way."

The Ares girl smiled a bit as Pri nuzzled her again. She took the opportunity to reach up and stroke her hair as she rocked a little bit. She couldn't help but notice that Pri smelled nice as she closed her eyes a bit. Her mind wandered a bit as she thought about during the Primordials battle, she had a fondness for Pri. It was something she wished she acted on, but the girl had a boyfriend and Audrey was whisked away shortly after the battle was over.

Audrey jumped a bit as she heard Pri mutter out her thank you. She took deep breathes as she felt a blush creep onto her cheeks from being caught off guard as her heart pounded a bit. "Y-you're... you're welcome," she said as she cursed herself in her mind for stuttering.

The more Princess thought about it, the better the idea of having Audrey around sounded. It was always nice spending time with the girl, and Princess had the sudden urge to make a necklace with a certain girl's name on it. When Audrey jumped, Pri jumped as well, not expecting that. The heat in her cheeks rose, and she couldn't help but smile slightly. Of course, that smile was broken by a yawn, something Pri had been doing frequently for weeks now. She never got more than fifteen minutes of sleep at a time, and it was wearing her down more than she let on.

"You know...Maybe having you around all the time isn't such a bad idea." She smiled to herself softly as she practically buried her face in the girl's neck, simply enjoying the feeling of being held and having a hand in her hair. She hadn't felt this comforted since she'd first gotten with Gideon, and it scared her a little bit. What would the Lady do if she found out her former Deputy had a thing for her current one? It probably wouldn't bode well for Princess, not at all. Maybe, just maybe it was best if she just kept her mouth shut. "I like your company." She added quickly so it didn't sound so odd, her heart rate quickening a little more.

Audrey continued her deep breaths as she tried to will the color off of her face. This was not like her to get flustered because something had startled her. This was not her training prepared her for. Then again, what training prepared you for a crush on another girl? She frowned a bit as she watched Pri yawn. That however turned into a soft smile as the girl nuzzled into her neck again.

"I like being around you..." Audrey responded back before her blush appeared on her cheeks again. Stupid training not preparing her for this. She took deep breaths once more as she stroked Pri's hair some more. "I like your company too." She cursed herself. She swear she was making this more awkward than it needed to be. "Do you need to nap more?" she asked, trying to get her mind off of the current situation that was making her blush.

If Princess didn't know any better, she would say that Audrey was flustered, but she did know better, and she knew that Audrey never got flustered. Herself, however, did get flustered. Too often for her liking. Like right now. She could barely think straight as Audrey's words kept playing in her head. The Huntress liked to be around the forge girl. It made her happy like nothing else had. Well..Maybe as much as Gideon once had. She shivered at the memory of Gideon, of how happy they had seemed to be. She shook it off, though, as another yawn passed her lips.

"Yeah...Could you lay with me?" She whispered the question, every muscle tense, worry filling her for Audrey's answer. "If it's not too much trouble, I sleep better when there's someone next to me." She hurried the words out, quick to cover up her awkward question as she finally pulled away from Audrey's shoulder, peeking at her slightly, her cheeks still tinged pink. Honestly, how could she never have realized these strange feelings for Audrey sooner? Because she was too focused on Gideon, of course. She mentally cursed herself as she cast her gaze to her lap, not wanting to seem odd or anything for staring.

Deep breaths, Audrey, deep breaths, she coached herself as she tried to get her cheeks to return to their normal color and her heart to stop pounding so much. She kept sneaking side glances to Pri, but that only made her more flustered. Get it together... you NEVER get flustered This was brand new territory for the hunter and she didn't know how to deal with it that well.

Audrey almost jumped again at Pri's question, but stopped as she forced herself to act calmly about the developing situation. "Um..." she muttered as she cursed herself for starting off like this. "Yeah... I don't mind... I probably need a nap too." She glanced over at the girl as she noticed the blush on her cheeks. Audrey gave her an encouraging smile as she let go of Pri slightly so she could move to lay down on the bed, making sure there was enough room for the other girl as well.

Okay. She was going crazy. She swore that the other girl's cheeks were slightly pink, and the girl was more tense than usual. Pri didn't think about it too much, though, she only scooted away to give Audrey plenty of room before she laid down herself. Due to Audrey's answer, she didn't think the girl was too comfortable with laying in bed with another girl. Let alone one as annoying as Princess. So she laid on her back, her arms tucked against her sides, trying her hardest to stay close to the edge of the bed so she didn't touch the girl. She didn't want to be more awkward than she already was.

She tried to force herself to calm down as she closed her eyes, the weariness taking over in a matter of seconds. The blackness took over in an instant, and she was in a comfortable sleep. Maybe too comfortable. She mumbled something incoherently as she turned over onto her side, facing Audrey. She tucked her fists up under her chin and curled her legs up slightly, her knees brushing against Audrey's. Within minutes, soft snores were escaping her lips and her entire body relaxed. Just the knowledge of someone being right there beside her, watching over her and keeping her safe, made everything so much easier.

Something simple as laying down next to another girl suddenly turned very awkward and Audrey had a feeling that she was the reason behind it. She adverted her eyes a bit as Pri moved to lay down next to her. She noticed how Pri was acting uncomfortable where they were. Audrey just closed her eyes and tried to relax. However, not-so-tamed thoughts about the girl next to her were running through her head. Those rapid thoughts were not letting her drift off to a nap like she wanted.

Audrey heard Pri mumble something and shift in her sleep. She turned her head and opened her eyes to make sure that the girl was okay, but smiled at what she saw. Pri look cute and comfortable asleep in that position. Thoughts ran through her head and she didn't stop one of them. She propped up onto her side facing Pri as she leaned in. She did glance at her lips before she leaned in to peck her on the forehead. She moved to lay back down on her side as she closed her eyes. A sense of calm washed over the girl and it wasn't long before sleep took her away as well.

Princess finally had a good night sleep. By the time she woke up, the sun was barely peeking through the window on the other side of the room. She went to stretch, but found that in her position, she couldn't really move at all. She had scooted closer to Audrey in her sleep, so that her head was tucked up under the other girls chin, her hands still tucked up under her own chin. One knee was stretched straight out, while the other leg was thrown over both of Audrey's. She instantly felt her face flush as she tilted her head upwards, staring at the sleeping face of the other girl.

She needed to figure out how to get out of her position without waking up Audrey. The girl was already doing enough for her, the least Princess could do was let her sleep. But she just couldn't help but focus her gaze on the sleeping girl. She didn't look as hard or menacing with her eyes closed, a content look on her face. She felt a smile tug at her lips as she continued to just watch the girl sleep, all plans of escape out of her head.

Audrey had lost track of how she went before she got to sleep this well. It was probably at least a few weeks, maybe even months. She could barely sleep that well as a hunter, which was probably one of the reasons why Artemis granted her hunters immortality. Otherwise, they would probably die from sleep deprivation. The warm body next to her helped her stay in a deep sleep, even if Pri was slowly waking up.

The sun was up and Audrey scrunched her face up as she let out a small whimper of protest. She moved slightly only to fling her arm over Princess and pull her in closer to her. She muttered incoherently in her sleep as she nuzzled her face against the Hephaestus girl's hair. She took a deep breath and sighed before she tried to fall back into a deeper sleep.

Princess stiffened when she felt the girl next to her shift, and almost let out a squeak when she was pulled closer. She felt her skin heat up, not really knowing what to do. There was no escaping now, no matter how much she'd wanted to. At that moment, though, she didn't want to. She wanted to just lay here, listening to the girl next to her sleep, watch the adorable way her nose twitched every few seconds. Of course, the serenity she felt was short lived, when she heard a screech and furious tapping outside of the window over her head.

The noises startled her, so badly that a scream tore from a throat and she actually jumped off of the bed, landing on the floor. She groaned a bit as she rubbed her head before standing straight up, eyes wide at the girl on the bed. "I..Um..I have to go." She rushed the words out, her cheeks still bright red, as she practically sprinted out of the cabin. Hunter flew to her shoulder in a second as she approached her own cabin, locking herself in and cursing herself for letting herself be so foolish.
