[Harper Jones]

Harper had to learn the hard way that she wasn't a California girl. Everything was expensive. Everyone she met was shallow and only wanted to be discovered through the internet. It was such a culture shock that Harper locked herself in the condo most days. She thought she was bored at the old house, she was a prisoner in the condo. The only thing that kept her sanity was the wedding planning. She missed camp, no, craved it. She missed having things to do and people to see. Hades, sparring with the Ares cabin sounded a whole lot better than figuring out the seating chart.

Harper was currently working on said seating chart in the kitchen. Her head was in her hands as she gently yanked at her hair. This was driving her insane. She glanced up when she heard her fiancé come into the room. Now was the moment. Better now than ever. "Xenos," she said as she moved to place her hands on the table. "We need to talk."

Xenos frowned as Harper told him that they need to talk. A million possibilities ran through his mind and each one seemed worse than the last. His eyes examined his fiancee with concern as he tried to figure out what she wanted to talk about. His best guess had him thinking about how he had been noticing just how unhappy she had been and now he couldn't help but think the worst as he sat down across from her.

"What's wrong, babe?" The son of the night asked her as he tried to keep his worries off his face and keep her from seeing just how troubled he felt by her words and look at that moment.

Harper fiddled with her engagement ring as she looked down at her hands and took a deep breath. It was running through her mind the past couple of weeks, but how was she supposed to say it aloud to Xenos? She looked back up at him as she thought, Maybe I should break it to him gently...

"I can't take it anymore," she blurted out to him as her face heated up. Her heart was racing as she took another deep breath to clear her thoughts. "I can't live here Xenos... I hate it here." She looked at him, trying to judge her love's expression as she broke the news to him. "I can't stand it here... I'm miserable... Can we just got back to camp?"

Xenos's mind raced as he glanced down at Harper's hands and saw her fiddling with her engagement ring. He tried to keep his face from showing his anxiety, shifting his gaze back up onto her face. Please, please don't leave me. He thought to himself as he waited for her to say what she needed to say. A look of immense relief broke out across his face. Thank gods. The son of the night thought before another problem presented itself to him.

"Back to camp, Harper?" Xenos asked his fiancee as he reached across the table to take her hands in his. "I'm not exactly welcome there and I don't know how long we would have to work until I am." He admitted to her. The Primordial warrior thought about it for a little bit. "I can get us closer, but I don't think we are allowed to just stroll back into camp and I'm pretty certain they'll try to arrest me or something on sight" He shrugged and gave Harper a rueful look. "And I don't feel like getting locked up in a cell while we're planning on getting married. I'd rather not be shackled to the altar."

Harper bit her lower lip as she waited for her fiance's answer. She fiddled with her engagement ring some more, since that had become her new nervous habit since they got engaged. She took deep breathes as he took her hands while she waited for the rejection. Harper knew well enough that Xenos was probably never welcomed back to camp and Harper was practically considered a traitor since she ran away for her mental health.

"I know," she said as she dropped her head a bit. She closed her eyes since she didn't want to be staring at the seating that was driving her nuts. She took a couple of deep breaths as she tried to hold back the tears. However, her head shot up when she heard the second part of his answer. "Really?" she said with a bit smile as she squeezed his hands. "That would be... I would love that, Xenos." She giggled a bit as a thought popped into her head. "Maybe if I talk to Chiron, we can work something out. I know he'll be reasonable if I explain both of our cases to him."

Xenos smiled to his fiancee before giving her a grimace. "I don't know how well pleading me case will go at this point. I don't think using the kracken itself to attack the camp is going to be forgiven that easily." He told her as his grimace turned into a frown. "But we can try, and if need be then we can move to New York City." The son of the night suggested to Harper with a slight grin. "At least, that way, we can be closer to the camp for you." He scratched the back of his head. "The problem is all the little troops I have following me. I doubt I can just leave them here for now."

"I just hope they don't try to attack me outright." Xenos said with a slight wince. "I wouldn't blame them if they did." He gave a quick shrug and smiled at her. "But I'm sure it will be okay."

"Babe," Harper said as she gently squeezed his hands. "The Kraken was a while ago and there's so much turnover at camp I don't even know if there will be that many people there to remember that war." She took a deep breath as she went on to explain her case, "Besides, from what I understand, unless you've decided to be one of the Usurpers, you're not public enemy number one anymore." She shook her head as she thought about all the things her siblings and Charlotte had been telling her about what was going on at camp. "Just... let me talk to him."

"But..." she said as she gave his idea some thought, "New York wouldn't be so bad. At least the people aren't as superficial as they are here. I am just completely miserable here. I only go outside to use our pool and that's not healthy at all." She squeezed his hands comfortingly. "They won't attack you. I'll make sure of it. Just please give this a chance?"

"I already said I would." Xenos points out to Harper with a chuckle and a raised eyebrow. "You need to listen a bit better." He teased her before standing up and walking around the table to stand behind her. "It just may take us a while to actually get moved over there because of everything we would have to deal with." The son of the night told his fiancee before leaning down for a quick kiss. "I have a question for you though."

"Do you want to wait until after we move to get married?" He asked her as he wondered just how long that would be. "Because we'll have to wait on getting our marriage license even longer." Xenos points out to her with a slight frown.

Harper giggled a bit and blushed as Xenos teased her before moving to her side of the table to steal a quick kiss. She closed her eyes slightly as she leaned back against his chest. For a moment, everything seemed just right in the moment. At least she wasn't working on that dreaded seating chart.

Harper pressed her lips together and opened her eyes when Xenos pointed out how long getting their marriage license would take. They were already engaged for over a year and a half and she didn't want to drag it out any further. She sighed as she looked down at the seating chart that was giving her so many problems and that's when it hit her. "Everyone that I want to be there at the wedding is at camp," she said as she glanced up at her fiance. "I don't want to elope. I want to have all my friends there when I get married to the love of my life." She took a deep breath as she shook her head a bit. "I don't want to wait longer, but if it means they're there for the ceremony, then I'll do it. I can wait a bit longer."

Xenos grinned when she leaned up to kiss him, enjoying the feeling. "Okay. We'll have to find a new venue for the wedding since we'll be having it over there." He pointed out to her with a slight frown. "So that seating arrangement you're working on might not be valid anymore." The son of the night shrugged before moving to sit down next to her. "Good news is that means you can take a break from it until we get this figured out."

He reached over to her and grabbed her hand. "I'm sorry all your planning is turning out to be invalid." Xenos gave her an apologetic smile and a slight squeeze on her hand.

For once, Harper was feeling quite happy since moving out to California, but Xenos was just ruining that moment with everything he said about the wedding planning Harper did so far. "I can find another venue... I really didn't like the one I had picked out here anyway," she said before he mentioned the damn seating chart. She looked down at it and realized that all her hard work and stress over the stupid thing was all for nothing.

Harper inwardly groaned as she proceeded to flop against the table as she let her seating chart scatter about. She closed her eyes and took deep breaths as she tried not to let her useless seating chart get to her. "A break... a break from this will be very nice," she muttered underneath her breath as she used her free hand to push all the papers onto the kitchen floor.

"Sorry." Xenos said once again before he stood up and walked over to stand behind Harper. He leaned over and wrapped his arms around her to give her a hug. "I guess we get some more time together though." His voice slightly muffled by her hair as he spoke. "Which I plan on making the most of." He told her with a wide grin before letting her go. The son of the night walked away from the table with a chuckle. "So what should we do with our new free time first?" Xenos asked his fiancee as he turned around to face her.

"I have a few ideas if you're willing." The primordial general told Harper with a wink. "It's been a while since we've been on a proper date together. Would you like to go on date with me?" He asked her before leaning against the kitchen counter.

Harper couldn't help but inwardly groan as Xenos wrapped his arms around her for a hug. The only thing running across her mind at that moment was how much wedding planning was ruined just because she decided she wanted to move across the country, again. She’d tried to salvage that damn seating the best she could.

Harper picked her head up from the table and raised an eye at her fiance as he mentioned something about their new free time. She couldn't help but smirk a bit when she caught his wink. “I can think of a few ideas,” she said as she straightened up in her chair. Her smirk was replaced with a smile as she folded her arms onto the table and leaned against them. “Have we even gone on a proper date?” she teased him. “I don’t think kidnapping me from camp and having me as your sexy concubine really counts. I think I would like to try this proper date thing.”

"What? You mean you're not my sexy concubine anymore?" Xenos asked Harper with a laugh and a smile. He moved to sit down in the chair next to her. "I hope that's not true." He teased her back while sticking out his tongue at her. "But what were you thinking about?" The son of the night asked his fiancee as he tried to think of some possible dates he could take her on.

"Maybe we could go sight seeing. I do have access to most of the world." Xenos suggested with a grin. His hand moved to grab one of hers to hold it. "What do you think about that?"

"A concubine kind of implies that I'm getting held against my will here and the last time I checked, I wasn't," Harper giggled as she stuck her tongue at her fiance, just as he was doing the same to her. A goofy smile crept onto her face as she thought of the possibilities the two of them could do. There were a couple of places around town she wanted to try, but hadn't since she spent most of her time cooped up in the condo.'

"Access to most of the world?" Harper asked as this clearly piqued her interest. Her goofy smile turned into a slightly mischievous one as she squeezed his hand. "How about Hawaii? We could spend most of the day sight seeing or on the beach... plus you get to see me in a bikini," she said as she winked at him.
