Every time a spark hit her face, she mentally cursed herself again. She actually slept for a full night, she should be more alert. Of course, she was pretty much on alert, anyways. She'd just ran out. Literally ran out after Hunter woke her up that morning. She'd just left Audrey lying there without an explination. Ever since she locked herself in her cabin, she was at war with herself. Part of her craved Audrey's touch, the other half just wanted to run away as fast as she could. She'd fallen before, knew the signs, knew how bad it ended up.

Now there was Audrey. Audrey who made her melt with one simple look. Audrey who made her blush with every touch. Audrey who held her while she slept and made her feel safe. A groan of frustration escaped her lips as she slammed the hammer down onto the piece of silver, trying to get it to mix better with the bronze. Even though she wanted to run away from Audrey, she wanted the girl to feel special. Hence why she was making this dagger set. It was a set of three, each inlaid with a different gemstone hilt, each doing something different. Ruby to activate a flame, Sapphire for a grappling hook, Emerald for a knockout gas. She knew Audrey had her bow and arrows, but she thought these would suit the Huntress better than the standard weapons.

Audrey woke up in an empty bed this morning. Usually, that was the case, but not this time. She had sworn to protect her fellow ex-hunter, Princess, from the evil that was her ex-boyfriend. They had slept in the same bed last night. Audrey didn't know what all had happened, but finding Pri not in her bed was very disturbing. She didn't know if Gideon kidnapped her last night or not. She jumped out of bed and barely got a fresh change of clothes on before she grabbed her knives and bow and arrow and headed out searching camp.

Now, she was perfectly aware that this was a lost cause if Gideon did kidnap her. If she was in his possession, Audrey doubted he would keep Pri within camp boundaries. However, that didn't stop her from checking the forges first. If she took away anything last night, it was Pri liked to hang out in here. She headed down into the forges and stop when she was Pri. She breathed a sigh of relief before she walked over to her. "I was wondering where you went this morning," she said as she moved over to a table to lean up against it and cross her arms. "You had me concerned for a minute."

Princess nearly screamed when she heard the voice behind her. She whipped her head around, eyes going a bit wide before she turned her head back to the daggers. She could already feel her cheeks heat up, and all she did was look at the girl. "I didn't mean to worry you. I uh...Hunter just woke me up." Her words were stuttered a little bit, and her hammering increased. On cue, Hunter screeched from above her, a tiny cannister in his talons. "Hunter you're amazing." She gave the bird a scratch on the head before she moved the dagger she'd been hammering into the water. She pulled another one off of the rack right after, opening up a small compartment in the hilt, barely visible unless you knew it was there. She inserted the canister before setting the dagger back on the rack. She only had to wait for the last dagger to cool, make a snazzy hilt for it, then she could give them to Audrey.

"I really didn't mean to worry you...I just can't be in that cabin for too long." Her next words were soft, and less shaky, since she actually felt guilty. Had Audrey thought she'd been hurt or kidnapped? The simple idea of making the girl worried about her caused her face to fall. "I didn't want to wake you up, you looked so cute sleeping there." And there it was. Open mouth, insert foot. "I..Uh...I mean...Peaceful. Yeah. You looked peaceful." She mentally smacked herself as she pulled the black leather she'd been working on back onto her bench, working on putting all the pieces together for the perfect sheath for the daggers. Anything to distract her from what she'd just let slip.

Audrey couldn't help but smirk a bit as she noticed how caught off guard the girl was and how she was blushing, which Audrey found ridiculously cute. "A note or something would've been nice instead of finding you not in my bed." The hunter jumped up to sit on the table and let her legs dangle freely as she watched the Hephaestus girl. It was amazing to the Ares girl how Pri could just focus on making a weapon from scratch. Audrey never had that kind of patience. She had the patience when it came to tactical warfare, but not when it came to making something.

"You know... Artemis really doesn't care what goes on in camp as long as we're not falling in love with boys. And she really doesn't care about old hunters as long as they get the punishment she thinks they deserve." She licked her lips a bit as she noticed it was getting a little too hot in the forges for her liking. She reached up to yank at the collar of her shirt trying to cool herself off. She couldn't help but chuckle a bit when Pri said she looked cute in her sleep. "You looked peaceful too." She said with a bit of a smirk as she decided to be a little bit daring. "And by peaceful, I mean really damn cute."

Princess had absolutely no idea what to say to Audrey. "I...Um...What?" Was all she could manage after the other girls words processed in her brain. Did Audrey just call her cute? No. No. She couldn't have. But she just did. Princess could only stare at the leather in front of her with wide eyes, her needle going through it with ease, even with her shaking hands. All she had left to do was sew the last bits of this, then add the canister to the last dagger, and they were all done. She just didn't know if she could actually give them to Audrey. Would it be weird? Would Audrey even accept them?

She finished the last few stitches just as Hunter returned with the last canister. She was glad for the distraction, since she'd just been standing in silence, working her little butt off on this gift. She laid out the holster, sliding in the two finished dagger into their slots, before inserting the final canister into the last one, putting that in place. That's when she finally looked up at Audrey, her cheeks a deep red. Her hands were shaking as she picked up the holster, side-stepping until she was directly in front of the other girl. "I..Um...I wanted to thank you for being so good to me..." She hesitantly held out the holster containing the daggers to Audrey, her eyes staying firmly on the ground due to her nerves.

Audrey took deep breaths as she looked at Princess. Her heart was racing. It was completely out of line for her to say something like that about her former Hunter. Hell, Audrey had to suppress the feelings she felt for Princess during the war and she thought they went away when she was back with her Lady after Pri broke her vow. However, now... now was different. Audrey bit the corner of her lip as she glanced off to the side. She never really knew what rejection felt like, but she had a feeling she would find out soon enough.

But the Hephaestus girl was in front of her and she held out something. Audrey glanced down along Princess's slim fingers before seeing the daggers in her hands. She smiled a bit before reaching out to grab the gift and brush her hands against Pri's. "It was my pleasure," she said as her heart raced and she kept glancing at Pri's lips. She set the daggers onto her lap before she reached down to put a finger under Pri's chin before tilting her head up so they met eye-to-eye. "Like I've said, I really like you and I want to make sure you're okay."

This had to be a dream. That was it. She was still sleeping, and any second now she would wake up in the cabin with Audrey still curled around her. She blinked a few times, trying to wake herself up, but nothing was working. She had no idea what to do. She'd never been in a situation before where she'd been so...Awkward. She used to be all confidence. She'd stood up to a Goddess for the "love of her life" for the sake of the Gods! Now she was here, a bundle of nerves and shivers in front of this girl. They'd been friends once, there should be no need for Princess to feel awkward. But no. She did, and it was the worst feeling in the world.

She wanted to smile when Audrey took the daggers, their hands touching briefly, but she couldn't. She was frozen. She was still shaking as she felt Audrey's finger under her chin. Slowly, her head turned up, and honey met chocolate. Her heart stopped beating as the words hit her ears. Before she even knew what was going on, the forges started to spin. Dots swam in the corners of her eyes. She had a split second to blush before she crumpled to the ground in front of the girl.

Audrey was expecting some sort of reaction from Princess as her hands brushed against hers. Hades, that's exactly what she was trying to get, but she wasn't expecting for the Hephaestus girl to pass out by her feet. Her eyes widened as she set the knives down next to her as she quickly hopped off of the table to be by Princess's side. She stoop down by the girl as she moved her onto her back.

"Princess?" she asked as she tried to gently shake the girl awake. "Princess. C'mon Princess, wake up." She took a deep breath as she glanced around the room trying to find something to wake the girl up. There was a fresh bucket of water near her so she cupped her hand and took a bit to splash it on her face.

Princess felt nothing. She saw nothing, heard nothing, until water was splashed onto her face. A loud gasp passed her lips as she bolted into a sitting position, her eyes wide. What had just happened? Then she saw Audrey sitting there, worry in her eyes, and it rushed back like the water that was just poured on her. "Please tell me that didn't just happen." She groaned out the words before she buried her face in her hands, trying to hide the redness on her cheeks. When had she turned into a bumbling idiot? She was supposed to be good with people, not all blushy and fainty. "Oh Gods, I can't believe that just happened." She groaned the words into her hands, wondering if she could just stay in that position forever. Maybe someone could just turn her to stone so she never has to deal with a situation so awkward again. For real, come on, who actually passes out in front of a girl they have the hots for? That's not cool!

Audrey took a deep breath of relief. Princess was alright for right now or at least didn't show any signs of getting a concussion. “Whoah,” the huntress said as she grabbed Princess’s shoulders trying to make sure she didn't move too quickly, since her bolting up caught Audrey off guard. “Don’t hurt yourself. You don’t need another injury.”

Audrey let Princess’s head fall into her hands and mutter into them. She took a deep breath and sighed as she sat cross-legged on the floor next to Pri. “We need to talk,” Audrey muttered a few minutes as she looked at Princess. “We need to talk… about us.”

Pri couldn't help but bite her bottom lip, though she kept her head in her hands so Audrey couldn't see the complete and utter mortification on her face. How could she have fainted? Seriously? Who even did that anymore? She had a reputation, she couldn't just faint in front of a cute girl. Ugh. Why had her life gotten so complicated? When the words hit her ears, she tensed up a bit, but nodded, not moving her head. She didn't want to see the look on Audrey's face when the girl said she never wanted to see Pri again, especially after the fainting fiasco.

Audrey sat there patiently as she waited for Pri to respond. She was hoping for something verbally, but the slight head nod would have to do for her. Audrey took a deep breath as she looked at the Hephaestus. "I hope I'm not seeing something that isn't really there, but there is something between us, Princess." She reached over to put a hand on top of hers. "I have feelings for you and I'm pretty sure that you have feelings for me. I know you're still trying to get over Gideon, but..." She chuckled a bit as she shook her head slightly. "What I'm trying to say is..." She sighed before she finally gave up. "Stupid words," she muttered before she reached up to cradle the back of Pri's head before leaning in for a soft kiss.

Princess had been waiting for yelling or something along those lines, not what happened. Her eyes went a bit wide when she felt the lips on hers, but they slowly closed again as she put a little more pressure against Audrey's lips, one hand going to the other girls shoulder. She felt all warm and fuzzy in the pit of her stomach, and she was having the hardest time trying not to smile. Audrey liked her. She actually liked her. Princess silently thanked the gods as she took initiative and slowly ran her tongue over Audrey's bottom lip, her cheeks flushing from the simple action. Sure, she was usually bold, but not with someone she actually cared about. This was an entirely different ballgame.

Audrey was a little hesitant as she kissed Pri. She wasn't sure if she was going to get pushed away or smacked, but once she felt Pri kiss back, she visibly relaxed. She leaned a little bit more into the kiss as she firmly held the back of Pri's head. She moved her other hand from her as she rested it on the girl's waist to pull her in a little bit closer and kiss her a bit harder. It seemed like forever for Audrey, but she had to pull away a bit to catch her breath. She smiled a bit as she looked at her girlfriend with half-lidded eyes. "This is much better than talking," she muttered as she brushed her lips against Pri's.

Princess couldn't help but smile against Audrey's lips. She couldn't even hide the joy. How had she gone from passing out in front of this girl, to making out? She laughed lightly to herself as her forehead rested against Audrey's. "I think, if you don't mind, I'm gonna brag about my new girlfriend in front of the Ares cabin." She chuckled again before she pressed a quick kiss to the lips inches away from hers. "And you, ma'am, have some training to do with those new knives." She smirked a bit, getting some of her mojo back. Now that she didn't have to worry whether Audrey liked her or not, she didn't have to be so completely awkward.
