Muse Springboard

It seems like that muse has been dying left and right. Personally, whenever I have a lack of muse or have writer's block, I like to bounce ideas off of other people (hence the springboard). What I'm hoping for this thread is that you post a scenario that your character is in and see what other people would do in that situation (either in character or out of character).

I'll start with one I'm stuck with below:

What if you decided go along with your best friend to get them help, even though you know the path to that help is completely dangerous. However, later your best friend denies your help and even tries to leave you behind. You know that if you leave your best friend alone, they would be a danger to themselves. What would you do?

I'm afraid that I didn't explain this well enough. Basically, you post a situation/scenario that you are stuck in writing a reply for. The idea is that several people will post how they or their characters would handle the situation and it would hopefully strike up muse for the person with the muse block. A new situation is introduced only when another person needs ideas how to respond to a different situation.

So it's not a "here's my response and now here's a new situation". It's not a game. It's a springboard to get everyone's muse jumping around again.
