These are some of the frequently asked questions that the admins come across on the site. This is not a complete compilation of them. This is just a supplement to our RULES. We'll be adding more as different questions arise.

GENERAL
Is this site active?
We've been open since July 21st 2011 and have not experienced a "dead" period. We are active. However, we do go through periods of slow posting (like during the school year), but any other site does go through the same thing. If posting frequency is more of your concern, we invite you to look though our threads and see how frequent some of our members post.
How many characters am I allowed?
Currently, we do not have a limit on the number of characters a person can have. We only have the restriction of ONE Big Three character per person, but we've recently granted active members to have a second Big Three if they so chose. A person needs to ask permission before they create their character. However, we do ask that you pace yourself when you're making characters. We don't want you making characters that end up being unused.
I'm new/returning from a long break to RPing. Can I still join the site?
Of course! We welcome members, despite your experience/skills with RPing. There are members here that will help you out if you have any issues. Several of our members started out at a beginner level and now are writing for more advanced RPs!
What is the word count on the site?
The word count on here is 100 words. This means that ALL in character posts must be at least 100 words. The in character areas are: SecretsOfCamp.Zeus, Camp, Outside World, Camp Events, and Other In-Character. If we find that you are posting below the word count, it is considered breaking the rules and we will use disciplinary action.
Why was my account deleted?
We only delete inactive accounts. There are mainly three reasons why we delete accounts:
1) An account was marked inactive after missing a check in. Inactive accounts that have not be logged into in about 3 months are deleted.
2) A new member account hasn't been logged into after a month.
3) The account was deleted at the member's request.
Why can't I post in certain areas?
Due to recent events, we've changed the permissions on the site. If you are a new member or in the Out of Camp category, you are only able to post in the Characters forum along with Advertisements. When you are placed into a usergroup, you have full access to the site. The only exceptions are that staff can only make posts in Important Info and Announcements.

APPLICATION
Where do I post my finished character application?
Just put it underneath the character board. We don't have a special pending application section on this site.
What does it mean by "PLAYBY" in the application?
This is another way to say face claim. Basically, who did you pick to visually represent your character? You HAVE to put a name there, since it's used to keep track of who is already taken on the site. They have to be a real person, usually people pick celebrities like actors, models, etc. This cannot be an anime or cartoon character.
Can the RP Sample be from another site?
Yes it can! It can be from another site you're on or one you came up with on the spot. We only ask that it's your own writing and that it's at least a 100 words, which is our word count.
Is (insert cabin) open?
The easiest way to tell if a cabin is open or not is looking at the stats table on the homepage (on the desktop version, it cannot be viewed as mobile-only). This is always updated after a camper is accepted and we keep it as accurate as possible. We also note the what kinds of campers are highly discouraged or not being accepted, which is denoted with our legend.
PROFILE/MINI PROFILE
Why isn't the male/female thing showing up in my profile?
This is quite an easy fix that involves your privacy settings. Go to Profile > Edit Profile > Privacy > Set Gender Visibility to "YES". If you have the wrong gender in your profile, that can be changed in Personal.
What size are the avatars allowed to be?
Currently, we have coding that allows avatars up to 220x350 px. You can go smaller than this if you wish. However, if you go any larger, it will get automatically get resized. We suggest you don't do this, since it can make pictures look disproportionate.
How big can signatures be?
A definite rule is that they can be no larger than 500px wide (this also goes with any graphics posted on the site). However, we ask that you keep the height of the signature at a reasonable size. A good rule of thumb is nothing over 750px in height.
How do I fill in my character's age/sexuality/etc.
To edit these, you will need to go to PROFILE -> EDIT PROFILE -> PERSONAL. The fields are pretty self-explanatory.
