Leon was looking around camp for a nice quiet place to do a little bit of relaxing. Wandering away from the cabins, he found himself on the edge of a beautiful lake. Normally he would avoid such a place, but the lake looked shallow enough for him to be comfortable in so he decided to relax on the edge of the water for a short while. He walked over to the edge of the water before he sat down, taking off his shoes and socks. He then rolled up the legs of his pants and dipped his feet down into the cool water. He released a sigh of contentment at the feeling of the water and leaned back against his hands to look up at the sky. Suddenly remembering his iPod, he pulled out the headphones and placed the set over his ears and head. Shuffling though his music he eventually settled on a song by Billy Joel, titled, "The Piano Man." Nodding his head to the music he sat there and relaxed, wondering if anyone was going to come say hello.

Today was a beautiful and wonderful day and Sammy J decided she was going to make the most of it. Dressed in a flowy top and cut off jeans, she decided skip around camp, letting her long hair blow in the wind. She skipped and hopped around camp, making sure to wave and smile at the people she knew. She paused for a moment and closed her eyes as she let her skin soak up the Vitamin D the sun was providing.

She started skipping again, but this time towards the lake. As she got closer to the big body of water, she noticed someone there that she hadn't seen around camp before. "Hiya," she smiled as she decided to plop down next to the guy and make herself at home. "I'm Sammy J. Whatcha doing out here by yourself?"

Leon was enjoying his little bit of rest by the lake, just him and his music. He looked up as he saw this beautiful blonde girl in some cut off jeans skipping up to him. He pulled back one of his headphones and smiled as she plopped down beside him. "Well hello to you too." He gave her a once over and found she was an attractive young woman.

He put his hand out for a handshake and said, "I'm Leon, nice ta meet you, Sammy J. I'm just sitting here by the lake relaxing for now. It's a really nice day after all." He smiled at her again and pulled his headphones down to rest around his neck.

Sammy J was completely oblivious to the fact that the boy she sat down next to just checked her out. She was being her happy, bouncy self who was super excited to meet a new friend. "Nice to meet you, Leon," she said with a big smile on her face before she looked out onto the lake and nodded her head. "It's really nice today. I would go surfing today, but the waves are a little too calm for my liking." She glanced over at the boy just as he was taking something off of his ears and she knitted her eyebrows together. "Are listening to music?" she asked as she reached over to gently prod his headphones. "I don't understand how it works. I think music is best either live or on a record player."

Leon noticed she hadn't checked him out like most women did when they saw him. That was a bit shocking to him, before he had a thought, I wonder if she's a lesbian, or maybe just already has a boyfriend. Eh, I don't care all that much. He smiled at her again as she looked out over the lake, "The pleasure is all mine." He gave a little shudder at the thought of surfing and decided to voice his opinion on it, "I'll pass on that, thanks. I'm not good in deep water without some good piece of technology under me. Got a bad fear of most water, not being able to swim very well and all." As he pulled his headphones off, he noticed her staring at them. He listened to her comments and laughed a bit. Of course he agreed with her, he loved live shows. "Well the trouble with that is that most of the musicians I listen to don't tour anymore, or they aren't the original band members. I wish I had been around to hear The King, that would have been something. And if you find a way to safely carry around a record player, please let me know, I will gladly carry it everywhere and listen to all my vinyl albums again. Would you like to listen, I got The King on right now, Devil in Disguise?"

"Oh..." Sammy J frowned a bit as her new friend Leon said he couldn't swim. "That's kind of sad... I know how to swim, but I'm a Poseidon kid anyway so I don't think I can drown... but I can teach you sometime if you want." She perked up as that idea ran through her mind. "It's really not that scary and it becomes really fun. And if you're with me, I'll make sure you don't drown or whatnot because I can control water!"

She listened as he talked about music and her eyes widened as he mentioned one of her idols. "I've actually seen Elvis live," she said as she bounced a bit. "It was before I was claimed as Poseidon and I got trapped in that icky Lotus Hotel, but I saw Elvis. He was really good. And I also saw the Beach Boys too. Oh would you please play it? That would be radical."

Leon gave Sammy J a nervous smile when she offered to teach him to swim. Him and water didn't get along due to him being a pyrokinetic. He couldn't manipulate the flames well while he was submerged. Plus he had come close to drowning when he was a kid. But he supposed he was willing to give it another shot. "Okay, I guess we'll try something in the future maybe. I'm not really too keen on this idea right now, but maybe in a few months."

Leon watched as she bounced a bit, glad for the show and hearing her words his jaw dropped. She had seen Elvis live? He was about to call bullshit, but then she mentioned the Lotus Hotel and he knew she wasn't lying. He had heard rumors about that place. His jaw dropped further as she said she had also seen the Beach Boys live. He wished he had her life. "I am so jealous of you right now. I was born too late to see either of them live. I wish I could have though." He pulled out a small speaker from the pocket of his coat and set it on the ground, hooking his iPod up to it. Playing the song he got up and did his best Elvis type of pelvic moving dance. He offered his hand to Sammy J. "Come on, it's not as much fun dancing alone!"

Sammy J smiled as they talked about her favorite musicians. "They were totally radical live. I wish I could have gone to more of their concerts... but that casino was totally lame. They didn't have any live music at all." Her smile got a little wider as he pulled out the speakers and started blasting out Elvis. She bounced and swayed to the music as she mouthed the words before she giggled as Leon got up and started doing his impersonation of Elvis's pelvic thrusts.

"I'm not that good of a dancer," she warned him as she took his hand and picked herself up. She barely got her feet underneath her before she started shaking her hips and doing the twist to the beat of the music.

Leon watched as she did the twist while he did bad Elvis moves. When the song finished, ironically, the next song on was The Twist, so he joined her in twisting and moving his hips. His now more then a little shaggy hair going wild in the air. So far he had enjoyed the company of Sammy J, minus the swimming bit. He would be happy to talk more with this girl about the concerts she had seen and some of the ones he had gone to.

When the song finished playing, Leon flopped down on the ground and turned down the music as the next song came on. It was Boston's "Rock and Roll Band" one of his personal favorites. "Personally, I thought your dancing was wonderful. Besides, it doesn't matter if you're good or bad, only if you enjoy it. And I had fun just now, so I'll call that a success." He gave her a charming smile and patted the ground beside him so she would sit back down and relax for a bit longer.

Sammy J giggled and laughed as she kept doing the twist, especially when the next song changed to Chubby Checker's famous hit. She kept twisting as she smiled as Leon got a little too into his twisting and his hair went wild. She kept dancing, despite feeling her abs starting to hurt. But the song quickly was over and it switched to something she never heard before. She scrunched her eyebrows a bit before sitting down next to him.

"Who's this?" she asked as she pointed to the headphones. "I don't think it's something they play now and they didn't play it before I went into the casino."

Leon smiled as she asked the question, picking up his speakers. "This here, is my favorite band of all time. This is a band known as Boston, on their debut album. The song is called 'Rock and Roll Band.' Written and composed by my friend, Tom Schultz. It was launched in 1976, that's why you wouldn't here it much anymore." 

He smiled softly to his speakers before putting it down and looking back at Sammy J. "It really sucks just how much music has changed, you know? I miss all of my old bands, sure some of the new ones are okay, but they just aren't Elvis, The Beach Boys, or Boston. Sometimes I just want to put my hand into inventing a time machine to go back to the good old days." He gave a sigh here before smiling. "So, what do you like to do for fun around here, Ms. Sammy J?"

Sammy J knitted her eyebrows together as she stared at the speaker and concentrated on it and what Leon was saying about the band. "I don't know if it was something I'd be into," she said with a bit of a shrug as she looked up at Leon. "It doesn't have the same sound as Elvis or the Beach Boys, you know?" She smirked slightly as he talked about the bands. "I know what you mean. Today's music just sounds like they threw stuff together, especially with that... auto-tuna? stuff they use now."

"Well..." she started off after he asked her what she did in her free time. "I like to surf and be on the beach. I like listening to my record player... and I like having fondue parties." She looked over at him a little wide eyed. "Have you ever had fondue before?"

Leon shrugged as she talked about Boston's sound. He knew very well it wasn't for everyone. "Yeah, these guys have a different sound, but I love it. It makes me very content. And I think you mean auto-tune. Yeah that stuff is pretty bad to be honest. I'd much prefer a rock band to any of the modern stuff." He nodded his head sagely at what they were talking about, as if it were the most important thing in the world. Because it really was close to it, the only thing better was his machines, in his opinion anyway.

He looked a bit thoughtful as she asked about fondue. He had cheese dip before, but never real fondue. He would love to attend a fondue party, as it would be a new experience for him. "Well, I've had a cheese dip before, but never a real fondue. I would love to try it sometime in the future I suppose. Sounds, interesting."

"Auto-tune... auto-tuna," Sammy J said as she waved her hand in the air in an act of brushing the thought away. "Whatever it's called, it makes music smell. Nothing can be the King or the Beach Boys. People just really need to stop trying." She shrugged a bit as she leaned back to rest on her hands, but that didn't last for long.

"You've never had fondue?" she said as she looked at him with wide eyes. "That's it," she said as she got up and reached out to yank him up. "You're going with me and we're having... crap..." She let go of him as she scrunched up her face. "We can't right now... I need more cheese and veggies." She opened up her eyes as she looked at Leon and pointed. "But you swear to me that once I do, we'll have a fondue party, capisce?"

Leon nodded his head at her sagely words. No one truly would ever be like the King or the Beach Boys. "Truer words have never been spoken my friend." He watched as she got up, and then tried to pull him up. She didn't exactly count on he weight he supposed but got up anyway due to her excitement.

As he got to his feet and dusted off his backside, he saw her face scrunch up as she remembered something. He was a little sad that there was no fondue right then, but he would live with it. "Alright, just come find me when you want to hold this epic fondue party. I promise I'll come and hang out with you." He gave her a big smile and a thumbs up. "So, what do you want to do now Sammy J?"
