Making his way into the mess hall with sketch pad in hand, Leon sat down at one of the tables after grabbing himself a strong cup of Irish Breakfast Tea and a large cup of coffee. Taking out a small bottle of Kahlúa he added a little bit to each of the drinks in front of him along with a little sugar before taking a small sip of his coffee, finding it satisfactory. Setting it to the side for now he opened up his sketch pad to start designing the flight system for his car. Sipping on both drinks and idly drawing to pass some time he thought long over the few days he had been at Camp Half-Blood. It's not bad here. Sure I miss my friends, but I can still write up some letters to them to send off. I think I'll do that later, I'm sure Station and Brewster would love to hear about how I'm doing after my discharge. Making up his mind to do so, he quickly got back to work on his sketch of the wings. He paused for a moment to grab some breakfast, and after burning a small bit in the hearth as a sacrifice to his father for a clear mind to design he sat back at his table munching away and drawing.

Ariel hadn't been going to meal times. She'd been doing everything she could to avoid crowds ... and well ... pretty much everyone. She was mostly at camp for the security after all. But her stomach was growling at her and it hurt so much she thought she was going to pass out. Unwillingly, Ariel dragged herself out of her bed and headed towards the mess hall, making sure to keep her head down and avoid eye contact with everyone, though most people didn't seem to care that a girl with clear bed hair and clothes that looked suspiciously like they'd been slept in was wondering around camp.
Once she was at the mess hall, the daughter of Poseidon did a quick scan, noting that there was only two, maybe three other people in the place. She felt like she was able to relax a little bit more. She made herself a cup of Melbourne Breakfast tea with a bit of honey, she'd found that it had been the perfect thing for calming both her nerves and her stomach when ... well, it didn't matter any more, she thought, grabbing two pieces of raisin toast, she buttered them before sitting down at the closest table, not realising that she was sitting less than two metres from like, the only other person there instead of at an empty table. Without looking at the stranger, Ariel took a bite of her toast and felt herself melt a little inside.

Leon continued his work on drawing for a good few minutes uninterrupted by any of the other campers. Steadily eating his breakfast, he absentmindedly erased a few lines before redrawing them cleaner. Pausing for a moment he noticed that he had been joined at his table by another person, sitting quite close to him. He was surprised he didn't notice them when they sat down, and looked around to find the mess still quite empty because it was early.
Shrugging to himself he swallowed his food and turned to face his new companion. She was looking a bit disheveled, like she had slept in her clothing. He brushed it off, he had done the same many times before when he just collapsed into bed after a long project. "Good morning." He said politely before he took another sip of his coffee and gave her a smile.

Ariel was chewing her toast, lost in her own world of thought when someone interrupted her. Freezing the daughter of Poseidon immediately realised her mistake at sitting so close to another person. Slowly, with the food still in her mouth she turned towards the boy, feeling a bit like a deer stuck in headlights. Trying to swallow, Ariel realised her mouth had gone dry from the shock, she quickly took a sip of her tea, the hot mixture of tea, vanilla and honey burning her tongue as she swallowed. "Uh, morning." She replied quickly, instantly feeling stupid at her lack of ability to act normal in public anymore. Awkwardly she turned back to her breakfast and took another bite of her toast. She couldn't help but steal another look at the boy though. He looked familiar, though she didn't want to think about why.

Leon quirked up and eyebrow at the woman sitting next to him when she seemed to freeze before looking over at him. He smiled at her words and turned back to his own breakfast. Putting the final touches on a drawing, he pushed the notebook away from him a bit and moved his plate closer. He saw the woman glancing at him from the corner of his eye and was curious as to why. Finishing off his eggs, he turned to her, sipping his coffee and leveled his gaze at her. Slowly sipping on it, he looked her over once more, trying to see if he knew her from somewhere. Coming up with nothing he finished his coffee and decided to speak to her. "Is there something I can help you with? Or am I just that good looking? He gave her a smirk, a sly wink, and picked up his tea.

Ariel hadn't realised that she had been staring at the boy. She simply couldn't believe how similar he looked to someone that she had never wanted to think about. A painful ache started eating away at her heart, making her feel queazy. She pushed her toast away and took another sip of tea, trying to settle herself. The daughter of Poseidon flinched slightly when the boy spoke to her again, she looked at him, blue eyes wide with confusion before it dawned on her that she had been staring at him. A blush started to spread across her cheeks at the realisation and she dropped her gaze for a moment. "No. It's just.." Ariel took a breath, gathering her thoughts before looking back up. "It's just that you look like someone I used to know." She told him honestly.

Leon watched as the young woman in front of him blushed and looked away. He allowed his face to take a small smirk before he settled it down. As she spoke to him he nibbled on his last piece of toast. Finishing the slice of bread off he took his time to form a response. "Well, I don't know anyone who looks like me, but I'd have to imagine he's good looking. Not as good as myself, but I'd let him take second." He smiled at her before speaking again. "But where are my manners? My name is Leon, Leon Orcot. It is a pleasure to meet you." He extended a scarred and rugged hand to the woman.

The daughter of Poseidon stared at her cup as she gently placed it back on the table, taking the time to try and calm herself down. Thank the gods this boy was not the same one that impregnated her and left her in the cold by herself. If he had been, she probably would have used one of her daggers on him. She thought ruthlessly, her heart beating faster as it ached. Taking a deep breath, Ariel looked back over at the boy, a small fake smile gracing her lips as she reached her own hand out to his. "Ariel Moon." She replied. "Are you new at camp?" The blonde dropped his hand and returned her attention to her breakfast, glancing back up at him for a moment.
