Flannel had not been something that the monster had been expecting to wear for a long time. Since he had been on his own actually. Once he had began making money it was just something that he wanted to do nothing with ever again. He no longer had to deal with, nor did he want to, anything he had ever touched or done when he was poor. He had gotten past that. Yet, when he left the camp, he didn't go back to his penthouse. Nor did he go back to see his boss. Instead he went west, without a plan. He wasn't sure where he was going, or why he was going there. He just...needed to.
Turns out he ended up on a farm, and the stuff he had gotten used to wearing went out the window pretty quickly. Bumping against something on the farm would tear his clothing. So he switched it up, and if it tore, it was easy to repair. Plus it was red. He got back into some old habits, mainly fun with the female farmhands. He also got to working with animals more, much to his surprise and disgust. Yet that too turned out to be better than he had thought. A year passed before he was pushed back to the camp, for more reasons than need be said, and the first place he found himself was the Amphitheater.
He circled the flame in the middle the area like a vulture would over a body. He had gotten so used to the things at the camp only to run away from them. Not again. He would deal with this world this time around. He adapted to every situation he had ever been thrown in, he would adapt to that one to. Finally, he stopped circling the flame and straightened up, with a single inhale he bunched his fists up and turned away from it, ready to leave the Amphitheater.

The Last few months hadn't been the best for Charlotte. A lot of things had turned sour on her and had pretty much all together given up on her music. Nothing came to her anymore. She couldn't get cords right or tones were off. She took off for a while, leaving the cabin leader position to Roxy, and when she came back she didn't have the heart to take it back. Her cabin didn't need her to take care of them, kids were growing up, leaving camp and she was too, but she could never fully leave. This camp was her only home and her only life left. So much was different inside her. Maybe that whole coming of age thing wasn't a lie.
She was walking back to her cabin when she saw a old face walking around the Amphitheater. She hadn't seen that guy in a while, Chiron said he had ran off or something like that. Charlotte found herself making her way over to him. He looked different then he did last time. Not only his looks but his presents as well. She noticed he was on his way out and made her way to where he was going.
"Hey, long time no see." she said simply, looking up at him. "How have you been?" Okay, Charlotte didn't know his name. In her defense he never said it when they first met. She never said hers either.

William' presence wasn't the only one that had changed. Charlotte' had too. He didn't notice it until he saw her, as he was nearing the edge of the amphitheater. His thoughts had begun to drift back to the farm, and why he had been forced to leave. His hands slowly un-bunched as he picked a handful of reasons why he had left. The biggest was he had been forced to. There was no need to go into specifics with that though. It could have been something to do with a monster, or something to do with some kind of relationship between the farmer's wife. Perhaps both.
He didn't notice Charlotte sneaking up on him until she had spoken up. He wasn't a fighter like the rest of the campers. He didn't have the superman hearing that most of the people there had. Instead, he tried, and failed, to make up for his lacking hearing with speed. He didn't react as quickly as he would have hoped when she spoke up. Slowly, he was pulled out of his own thoughts to turn and look at the brunette walking towards him. Something was off about her now. What was her name? This was bad, he had had experience when it came to forgetting a girls name, and it never ended well. She did tell him her name, didn't she? Who wouldn't?
"A little cowardly, but I think I've managed..." He smirked playfully at her only to let it drop after a couple seconds. "Okay I'll admit it. The people who actually know how to use the weapons around me have managed...Me? I've leeched." Once again that playful smirk appeared on his lips before he reached out and lightly touched her arm. "How bout you?" His smile and gaze softened slightly. His mysterious red eyes weren't as piercing as they normally were, now they were simply just...there. Or at least that's how he was trying to come across.

Any time before she wouldn't have understood what he was saying about cowardness, but lately that had been her existance too. Advoiding people, keeping her own thoughts to herself rather then talking to people about it. Cowardness was all in timing. She looked over at the guy she hadn't seen in a long time and just nodded, watching his smirk fall and wondered if this is what she looked like to those around them. Leeched? "I've doubt you leeched." She said looking up at him. She did remember that day in the arena, heping teach him to shoot. Sure he wasn't good with a bow but he had strength in his personality, he was confident and assured of himself. "People need help some times. We aren't all great at everything and we need people to help us where we aren't strong."
She wanted to laugh when he asked how she was, digging her foot in the ground slightly. She had been studying a lot of terms lately, borrowing a bunch of books from the athena cabin. Morose, dismal, desolate, all the same but she felt them all differently. "Not much better" She finally settled on. "Things have been well quiet around her which is good I guess but it makes everything stand by so simply. Nothing new." When she looked up at him, his eyes always played around in her head, though she never questioned it since she knew many people with strange eyes, her own blue-green ones seemed normal compaired to his. "Just managing, it isn't as cracked up as it seems to be"
