Stepping into the Art Building, Leon was hit with a small wave of nostalgia thinking back to the times when he and his mother would watch the videos of Bob Ross and his happy paintings. Chuckling a bit to himself he walked over to an easel. He decided now was as good a time as any to see if he could still do any painting like when he was younger. He grabbed up a canvas and placed it gently on the easel. He laid some paints and brushes out to the side, before grabbing a palette and putting several colors on it. Facing the canvas he hesitated slightly before he dipped the brush into the paints and whispered softly, "Just a little dab right there, and you're on your way to making a happy tree. Be gentle with your brush strokes now." He continued to mutter a bit as he painted, getting lost in the world that Bob had painted for him as a child.

Jaron walked into the Arts building, his Ukulele that always accompanied him, swung over his shoulder. He was humming softly and looked around. As he could see there was no one there he knew so he could try to release his inner painter - that didn't really exist. Though he was a son of Apollo, his talents only included music and absolutly excluded the fine arts. The only other person in the room was talking to himself and the boy took a few steps towards him. That guy was definetly talented; at least more than Jaron. "Like ya technique", he commented and put another canvas on the easel next to the other person. "D'ya mind if I join?", he asked and put his Ukulele aside.
(This is so cheesy XD)

Leon glanced up for a moment at the young man who walked in the door. He placed the brush back into the water before picking the paint scraper back up and used it to start adding clouds to the sky. He heard them approach him and speak. His listened as he gathered more titanium white from his palette and added one last cloud before taking a better look at this person. It was a young man, he'd guess between 14 and 18, that was a good few inches shorter then he was. Looking him over again he saw a musical instrument over his shoulder. "Thank you. And sure you can join, I don't mind. I just really got started up so I will be here for some time." He gave the young man a smile and turned back to his canvas. Grabbing up his big brush again, he took it to where he had done the white for the clouds. He began to brush out the white, turning it wispy and cloud like.

| Jaron glanced at the man next to him while he squeezed colour on a palette. His brush in one hand, the palette in the other he took a deep breath and dipped the brush's tip into a light green colour. Carefully he sweeped over the surface of the canvas to leave small lines on it - grass. At least it was supposed to be grass. Going on with the same movement for a few minutes he bit his lip and put the brush aside, obviously dissatisfied with he'd done till now. Still he went on with painting grass with another green tone, maybe he was able to kind of save the painting. From time to time he glanced to his side again. The man was a sight taller than he was, but that was just usual. Almost every guy in Camp was taller than Jaron was and that wasn't even because they were tall; he was just really short. "I'm Jaron, by the way", he introduced himself casually. "Cabin 7." Sometimes he was able to sort other Campers to their cabins by their looks but somehow he didn't really see in which cabin the guy next to him could fit. He was probably older than him, at least 4 years, maybe even more... "And you?"

Leon listened to the newly dubbed Jason speak for a moment, thinking on which cabin he was in. Cabin seven? Apollo I believe. Yes, that seems right. He smiled a bit as he mixed up some more colors into a dark grey on his palette. He used the paint scraper again to form the tops of mountains with the dark grey color. He paused for a moment to clean off the scraper and glance over at the painting his, neighbor, yeah, was creating. So far, he had two tones of grass. It was, interesting so far. He took another glance at the younger man, "The name's Leon, cabin nine." He grabbed up his large brush again and used it to drag down the greys to fade to the white of the canvas, simulating the fog nearer the base of the mountains.
Grabbing the scraper again he grabbed more white and capped of the sun side of the mountains with it, being very gentle here as one mistake could cost him the effect he wants. Clearing the scraper again he mixed some blue and white together to get the blue type of color snow has when it is shadowed and he applied it to the other sides of the mountains. "So, what brings you in here today Jason? Just looking to get your happy tree on?"

| Jaron watched his hand sceptically, as he started to use more shades of green and mix the two he'd started with together. "Hepheastus? I didn't know that the people from your cabin like arts... I mean, yeah, of course your machines and such are art; in a way" He was speaking fastly because he wanted to make clear that he was not trying to insult Leon. It wasn't clever to insult someone who was taller and assumably stronger than himself. "But you've talent in painting and that's not quite usual" He looked at the picture. "Y'are really good..." Then he noticed that he was rambling and blushed slightly. "Sorry. I'm quite good at rambling" He gave up with the greens and took a big brush, dipping it into a white and a light blue tone at once to start brushing it on the canvas. At was supposed to look like clouds but... well. "No, actually I came here because everyone was kinda pissed because of me and the Ukulele in my cabin... And outsides too... And there was no one in here I knew so I decided to have a look if I'm still untalented. Well" He pointed at the canvas. "Apparemment yeah" He took a closer look at Leons painting. "Those effets you're using tho... how do you know how to draw to get them?" He really wasn't envy, he just wanted to know it... For his next painting because he wanted it to look better than the ones before.

Leon smiled at the younger man's rambling. He didn't mind, he knew that was how people talked at times. "You are correct, my affinity for machines is much greater then my skill at painting. I enjoy both though. I watched a man who painted like this when I was younger with my mother and I imitate him from time to time." He cleaned off the scraper and mixed a few color together to form a nice dark brown and used it to draw a few lines to simulate trees. Putting the scraper down he grabbed up the brush again and mixed some green, orange, and brown together to make a nice autumn color for the leaves. Gently applying that to the canvas he listened to Jaron talk more.
He smiled as he finished up the trees. This painting was coming along well and he just needed to finish up the small pond and the grass. Grabbing some blue on the brush he quickly fills in where the pond will be. "Well you should just ignore them, maybe try playing on the roof where they can't bother you. And that painting's not so bad for a beginner. I learned this with hours and hours of watching Bob Ross paint. He shows you everything you need to know." Leon begins the final stages of his painting by filling in where the grass should be with a green mixed together with a little brown.
