Jareth stood at the top of a hill, staring down at the camp. He had gotten all bundled up for his date with... gah, what was her name? It was a girl from the Hermes cabin. He stood there, trying to remember her name, as he got the sleds ready. She was going to meet him there and they were going to do some old fashioned sledding right down this hill. Some girls wouldn't like that, but he hoped that she would find it fun. Jareth loved sledding! In fact, he  just loved snow in general.

He got the sleds situated side by side, burrowed into the snow just enough that they wouldn't slide down without their riders.

Outfit

Riley didn't care too much about dates or relationships for that matter but once she heard there was sledding going on she didn't care any more. It was something fun to do and Riley needed some fun. Researching for this big steal was too much work and not enough joy. She got all festive and headed out to meet up with this Jareth kid.

She had done her research of course. He was a zeus kid, older, and according to her sources, slightly awkward but that was all in due time to tell. She made he way over through the controled amount of weathered snow and smiled when she saw him up at the top of a hill. She raced her way up there and smiled, slightly out of breath. "Hi, you must be Jareth. I'm Riley" Okay, chipper was not normally Riley's way of life but she had never gotten to go sledding as a kid, being locked away in the tower of rich people wasn't as fun for a kid who just wanted to grab a carboard box and slide down some snowy New York Hills.

Jareth was so busy being lost in his thoughts that he missed the girl coming up the hill. Suddenly, she was beside him speaking to him. He jumped a little and turned to face her, "Oh! Hi, scared me for a second," he chuckled and held a gloved hand out to her, "Nice to meet you Riley! I hope sleddings okay?" He cocked an eyebrow at her as he gestured to the wooden sleds beside them. He had borrowed them from the Big House, where apparently random awesome things were stored. He was lucky to have found them, otherwise he was going to have to use shields or something.

Outfit

"Oh sorry!" Riley said with a small laugh "I didn't mean to scared you." she said and looked between the sleds and Jareth and smiled. She could barley keep herself from bursting she was so happy at that moment. She didn't even care if this was a date or not, she was doing something she always wanted to do.
"Sledding sounds fantastic" She said, smiling and looked around them. The snow looked just like New York and she felt like shew was back then, like she was outsidew with all the kids she never got to play with. "There is a slight problem though." She admited looking up at him "I've never actually used a sled before"

Jareth shook his head, "Oh no, don't be. I should have been prepared," he chuckled. Truthfully, when Jareth was in the zone-playing video games- nothing could startle him on screen. But in real life? He somehow always forgot that people talk to each other and greet one another.

He could tell that she was excited, which he was really happy about. He was glad he had chosen an activity that she was willing and excited to do. "I'm glad you like the idea. I grew up in Kansas, we had some good hills though. Not as much snow as this, though!" he said happily. He hadn't really gotten enough sledding as a kid either.

When she mentioned that she had never used a sled, he cocked an eyebrow at her, "really? Well, I'll just have to teach you, then!" He smiled at her before turning to the sleds. "It's super easy. We'll just sit down, put our legs on either side til we get situated and then just... push off!" He smiled like a crazy person this time. Sleddiinnnng.

A little puppy dog wasn't as excited as Riley was right now. She smiled back at Jareth from ear to ear. She looked around at the white snow and the sleds. New York had pretty snow, she use to sit around and watch out the windows when it was snowing. Lolly gagging around was also a problem with her mother but it kept Riley out of her hair.

She pushed her boot up against the snow and looked down at the snow before jumping and looking at Jareth. "This will be great! Shall we?" she said and made her way over to it and did as he had said sitting wise. "So you lived in Kansas huh? I would have taken you for a Demeter kid rather then a Zeus kid." she said before blinking once and looking back at him " I might have done my research."

Jareth was so relieved that she was as into this as he was. He sat down on his sled too, straddling the sides and digging his boots into the snow a little. "We shall!" she replied with a big smile back at her. When she called him out on his parentage he leaned back, feigning shock for a moment. Then he laughed, "Just because I lived in Kansas doesn't mean I like agriculture that much." He turned back to the hill and started to push off, "We'll talk more at the bottom!" and he pushed off the snow and started speeding down the hill, putting his feet up on the sled.

Riley watched him go down the hill and smiled, thinking about what he said about not liking agriculture, well what else was there to do in Kansas? SHe shook off the thought and looked down at her own sled and copied his positioning and looked down the hill for a moment. She had missed so much of her childhood due to her mother. It was such a simple act and did no harm yet she was denied that ability, she wasn't even given a argument. She shook her and and sighed before pushing off and speeding forward.

Cold breezes turned to sharp ice winds that Khione would be proud of. Riley was burning with a smile though as she sped by, her hands were tightening around the sled but didn't stay long in place. Her hands slipped off just as she reached the end, rolling off the the side ofthe sled, crashing into the snow.

Riley laid there for a moment and just started laughing uncontrollably. "That was amazing." she said, not really talking to anyone. Riley felt like that 10 year old girl again. She was filled with a joy that took her holes in her soul and filled them.
