Gaspardo, for a son of Aphrodite, was a good fighter. Yeah, he was a bit shallow in personality because of the importance he put in appearances and fashion, but he was a manly warrior as well. He especially had a talent with different kinds of weapons and was known for being interested in weaponry, and he was a fierce fighter as well. He it was a good thing he was, too, because when he fought he had this kind of grace to his movements that could make girls swoon. That was the magic of being a son of Aphrodite. When he fought, it was like he was a musketeer in a romantic fight over a damsel in distress. One didn't know how to describe it, but it was just the vibe he gave off. Not to mention, he got to show off his muscles.
And with a thrust of his sword, it clanged against the sword of the NPC dude who he was sparring with. Gaspardo was panting and he was getting a little tired already, for he had been sparring the person for a while now. However, the guy was even more exhausted, and after he got knocked back by the thrust, he told Gaspardo that he was ready to surrender. Gaspardo laughed, quite glad that he was surrendering. Not only did he have the glory of winning, but Gaspardo would rather stop here as well, for he had been getting a bit weary inside.
"Alright! Good match," he said with a grin. "You did well." He reached over and clapped the guy on the shoulder in good sportsmanship. The guy hadn't totally lost, really. He had still been standing on his feet; it was just that he was too tedious to continue. And Gaspardo wasn't boastful or vain; he was an easygoing bloke with a good nature.
When the guy turned to go, Gaspardo waved at him in farewell. "Thanks for the spar! See you later, bro," he said. Chuckling, he turned around and stretched his arms. He was tired, but that had been refreshing. Every demigod could use a good spar now and then, especially someone like Gaspardo. His shiny dark hair was a bit moist with sweat and his skin was a bit sticky. His t-shirt was wet, too. Normally he would be ready to go hit the showers, but right now...he actually wanted to take in the nice fresh air at the moment.

Adena was not a fighter. She was winner, though. She didn't fight in combat a lot. Nor was she expected to even try, but somehow Adena always ended up winning. It wasn't like Adena was incompetent with weapons, she might not be the best sword fighter, or dagger user, even throwing knives. But she was a pretty good archer, normally she was put with her own brother to test both their archer skills. Both being offsprings of the winged gods. Yet the secret was sometimes too obvious for others, yet even to the people that knew her secret way to win every fight, they also seemed to fall for it every time. The secret could be that she was a gorgeous woman, with her impecable makeup and the way she looks when she sweats. But the truth was that she used something too simple. Her powers.
Fighting with boys was easier than fighting with girls, emotions were easier to control. Love and lust. To control those two emotions when fighting is a huge advantage for Adena. It makes her too hot to fight with. Ending with the other person either quitting and then trying to flirt with her or with the person too distracted by sensual thoughts that makes Adena beat them just in time. Her powers also included being able to make others find her even more attractive, but it was too impossible for her to comprehend how she could get any hotter. Maybe she did it unknowingly at times.
This time she was at the Arena after her Archery Class with the Apollo kids, yes. She was almost that good. It was time for sparring, her least favorite thing to do at camp. But she needed some more practice over her abilities, she was getting too comfortable by just getting by with her looks. And it so happened that she was paired by an Ares boy, one of her favorite kind. Rough, serious, yet they were like every other guy she knew from that cabin... Stupid. Stupid enough to think the spar would be over quickly, since the Ares kids don't get Adena's type of godly parent. They know she isn't an Aphrodite kid, because truthfully Adena was not that gossipy or social enough to care about her popularity. But Eros was different, she only cared about desire and love. It was her advantage in everything. "Hey handsome." She winked to the boy as he started sparring. He was not distracted by her words, and thrusted his sword against hers, pushing her off balanced and falling back. She bit her lower lip, looking at him playfully. She stood up, never breaking eye contact and watched him carefully. Concentrating and using her energy on the emotional part of this. The spar went slower, anyone could see that the Ares kid was holding back. He seemed to be in another world. In which when he accidentally pushed Adena off, scarring her arm was when he dropped his sword and gave up the fight. Making Adena the winner by default.
She giggled along as the boy flirted with her, not using her powers anymore Adena just shrugged him off. Telling him that she would see him later. For now, she would watch the others spar. The kid left dissapointed but thrilled to have gotten a moment of her time. As if not every boy gets her. After that, Adena watched along the sweaty men, some of them shirtless others with her t-shirt stuck their body. One particularly caught her eyes. One who was sparring like an unspoken hero of the medieval times. She could see many girls sighing and wooing over his muscles. Truth be told, Adena was too. But it wasn't so surprising, she knew many men and had done many men. But she knew she would be the only girl brave enough, and also prettier enough, to approach him. "Hello." She spoke with her soothing voice, as she walked next to the boy.

He had long ago sheathed the sword back into its scabbard long and tossed it back to an Ares kid. The sword hadn't belonged it him; it had belonged to the armory. Gaspardo's main weapon was a bow and arrow but he occasionally borrowed swords from the armory to use.
And that being said, Gaspardo noticed a lovely voice, a very lovely one nearby. It wasn't just any regular female voice. Being a son of Aphrodite in the know, he could distinguish it as belonging to a daughter of a love god or goddess. It had a unique attractiveness to it that even a woman practiced in the art of flirtation couldn't beat.
Obviously, this piqued his curiosity and excitement. Ah, how he loved girls, especially girls who could flirt like a professional (or in other words, girls that were similar in personality to him). He doubted that this was one of his sisters, because they were, well, his sisters. They didn't flirt with them. However, there was another deity of love that existed and his children were in the camp, too. Eros. Gaspardo had come across plenty of the children of Eros, and he particularly got along well with the females.
He stole a glance from the corner of his eye, and he was delighted to see that this was indeed a very beautiful girl, one who he could truly believe was a child of Eros. With that face he didn't doubt that she had the power to have countless men succumb to her will, in truth. Of course, Gaspardo was not going to be one of those men, because he liked to be in control of situations, especially when it came to the matter of love. If this girl could charm, then he was her equal.
Turning toward her now, Gaspardo smiled at her; the expression on his face was a nicely balanced look of both flirty and casual. "Why hello there, darling," he greeted her teasingly. He lifted up an eyebrow, pretending to look quizzical. "What brings an elegant beauty like you to the arena? I believe you possess a far more formidable weapon beyond the compare of a sword or bow." It was up to her to decide what he meant by that, but he had both her beauty and charm in mind. Gaspardo idly placed a hand on his left hip and shifted his weight to the leg on that side. The son of Aphrodite winked at her, adding, "Or were you just watching the boys fight for the fun of it?"

It was a mutual thing. Adena knew it, they were both kids of actual love gods. He was a son of Aphrodite, it was obvious because the only girls not gawking all over the boy were the Aphrodite girls who were also telling off their friends for staring. It was the smile, she noted. The boy had a smile that could melt a girls' knees. Adena's knees weren't melted, she was a hard one to crack. She was a flirt, and being charmed off was something that had never happened. Maybe her curse was that she was too used to being flirted or complimented on that she found it too hard to think of any other boy as someone special. Maybe, there would never be the one for her and she wasn't too against it. She would get older and as any other hero, die young. With a life the was fulfilled by love.
The boy was good, he was a nice mix between: "I don't care." and "I can totally flirt." It was intriguing, to find someone like him. She had met Aphrodite boys over time, but most of them were too into themselves to flirt that well. So after a nice short stare that came off as flirty and not creepy like it would come as for other girls trying it. She looked down chuckling and then looked up through her long eyelashes at him. "I'm actually a bow and arrow type of girl. I'm an archer, not a swordsman." She leaned forward and let out a beaten sigh. "I see I got caught watching the boys." She straighten her back and crossed her arms. "Actually I just kicked a boys' ass at sparring." She puffed her chest triumphantly and winked at the boy. "How about you? I saw you beat another boy just now. I gotta say it was a good view." She bit her lower lip and then introduced herself. "I'm Adena Mccoy. Daughter of Eros."
There were different girls scattering off after Adena introduced herself, it was official. She was the girl who put on some pants and actually went in for the kill. The next day they could have him, or if Adena got bored. It was going to be hard charming Adena, the boy seemed to have the potential but there was just one thing she wanted from him, the rest of the road was too difficult for Adena's taste.
