It had been so long since Ariel had trained. She'd become so weak in her time away. While she was living on the outside she never used her daggers, instead she just ran away like always. Ariel stood in the middle of the arena, the rain falling heavily in a summer storm, her daggers on her hands with her blonde hair plastered to her skin. She couldn't help but think of all the times she had failed everyone in the last year because she had been so weak.
The arena was empty because of the storm which is why she was there, the daughter of Poseidon still couldn't handle being around people at the moment and had become a loner at camp. Tears mixing with the storm water Ariel moved towards the first practice dummy and made a series of quick slices with her daggers before slicing the next dummy straight up the middle with a water slice. It felt nice to use her powers, the blonde had refused to use them for so long that it felt like she was stretching out a cramped muscle. She breathed heavily for a moment, controlling herself to not hurt her heart too much before she whirled around again but stopped dead at the sight of another person.

Vincent had decided to train in the storm as he had done often when on the ranch. He wanted to exercise and figured that no one would have been here as it was pouring. Vincent had his iPod going full blast with his ear buds in his ears and his eyes closed. His brown hair had water slinging off it as he shadowboxed. He had not brought any weapons with him as he simply wanted to clear his head, and shadowboxing was the best way for him to do so. He kept his breathing regular and moved with slow, but powerful jabs and hooks.
His voice started to slowly sing out the lyrics to whatever song he was listening to, which only happened when he was truly concentrating on his training. He started moving faster, working on his cardio as well as his form. Vincent stopped as he felt someone staring at him. He turned and saw a blonde-haired woman staring at him with daggers on her hands. He pulled out an ear bud and looked at her.
"Um...I'm sorry. I didn't know someone else was here. I can leave if you want to be alone," Vincent quickly stated to the woman.

Ariel's eyes were wide like a deer caught in headlights. One of her hands was raised as she had been about to throw one of her daggers in the new comers direction. She realised she should lower it but her mind was working a bit slowly and it took a second for the message to reach her arm which slowly lowered itself. A frown began to form on the blonde's face as a sharply through her just lowered dagger at the ground next to her foot. It sliced into the ground with a sharp sound and she used her new free hand to push some of her wet hair from her face. It was a good thing she was allowing herself to get wet, she realised, there was no way now that this boy would be able to tell she'd been crying.
"No, it's fine. I'll leave." Ariel didn't mean for her voice to sound so snippy and rude as she picked up her dagger and tapped the shell on the hilt. It melted back into one of her bracelets before she did the same with her other one. The daughter of Poseidon's adrenaline levels and heart rate were both still too high and she fidgeted on the spot for a moment, looking at the dummies she had destroyed. She didn't really want to go back to her cabin, but she didn't exactly have anywhere else to go. With that thought, she started towards the exit which was near where the boy was standing, avoiding looking at him as she played with one of her bracelets.

Vincent kept his hands where the woman could see them until she rid herself of her weapons. He thought the way that she disarmed was pretty neat. "Awesome knives you got there. Also, I'm fine with you staying if you need to practice or something. I'm just doing this to think, and get a small workout." His words were followed with a small smile. Vincent hoped that he had not done anything to make her angry as it seemed that she was a person he did not want angry at him. He grabbed a stick on the ground near him and started to swing it around, making certain that he wasn't swinging anywhere near where she would have to pass him by. Vincent slipped back into his unconscious habit of quietly singing what he was listening too as she got closer.

Ariel looked over at the boy, then down at her bracelets. "Uh, thanks. My dad gave them to me." She replied sheepishly. She wanted to leave, still feeling weird to be around people. She'd become somewhat of a recluse, only leaving her room to get food when no one else would be around. Instead of walking out of the arena though, she stood, fidgeting, part of her wanting to continue destroying all practice dummies in site, while the other part wanted to curl up in bed again. She pushed her wet hair back out of her face, puling an unsure face as she looked around, finding a bench nearby and sitting heavily down on it, putting her head in her hands.

Vincent swung the stick in an arc around him noticing that the girl had sat on the bench nearby. He finished his move and dropped the stick to walk over towards the bench. "Umm...if you want you can join me, I don't mind at all. You look like you could use the practice or just the destruction." He sat down for a few minutes to catch his breath. His iPod continued to play music as he quietly sang along with his eyes closed. He suddenly wished that he had something slightly better than a stick and his fists. He shrugged to himself and decided that he would take another look around the forge.
