Tag ; @lucie It was a sunny day, and Corrin stood outside of the Hephaestus Cabin, wearing his orange T-shirt, bead necklace, and faded jeans with a pair of converses. Despite his casual apparel, the Zeus camper had cleaned himself up to the best of his ability, so he looked casual yet well-put together. This combination was sure to make him approachable and trustworthy. Now, all he had to do was figure out whom he was asking the favor of, and what they would want in return. Hopefully, they would not ask anything too impossible of him, but Corrin was a demigod and had enough power to do anything, except forcing himself into unnecessarily dangerous quests. While he liked to help people as often as he could, there were certain exceptions where there were many better and more useful options to end what were originally reputable and decent exchanges. Hence, Corrin, while not being too demanding, made it his point to state his case calmly and precisely, so no one could ask too much of him. He did have college to attend, albeit online.
Now, though, the older half-blood decided to do something more suited for camp activities: getting a new weapon. He had used many Celestial Bronze weapons and mortal weapons in his time and was fairly content with something evenly balanced in his hand. Not a picky person to begin with, as long as it worked, Corrin felt like he could do anything with what he was given. Today, though, would change everything he knew about his training routines. After all, today he would be requesting help with forging himself a new weapon, just for himself. If that wasn't something to be happy about, the son of Zeus did not know what was. And thus, for this special occasion, he would only ask the best for help: the Hephaestus cabin. The question was, who would he ask?
Well, there was an easy and simple answer -- whoever would answer his call first. Calmly, Corrin knocked on the door, and asked politely, "Hello, is anyone there? This is Corrin Aozora, and I would like some help with forging a weapon. While I'm used to repairing and handling the various weapons I've used, I can't say I've ever made one before, so I'd like some pointers at least, please." The words came out formal, as most words usually did with the boy. However, this time they were stiffer than usual and didn't roll off the tongue as if they were silver. Displeased with his words, he resigned himself with the promise that his inquiry was adequate and waited patiently outside until there was a response to his greeting.

The empty cabin was still creepy but going out and being pranked by hot Hermes kids was creepier. Alaric had to find another way to get out of the cabin because next time he'd see Kevin, he would die from embarrasment. Besides the only good part of being all alone was, that it was just like he was used to. He was all alone with many parts he could use to construct stuff.... Stuff he could use for the prank he'd announced. He would pull that off. He had to, even though he wasn't getting far with that. Maybe it would be easier, if he could ask siblings. Oh well, whatever. He could go to the Demeter cabin later to ask his best friend if he wanted to help him. Back home everything had worked out the pair'd constructed.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Alaric froze for a moment. Then he heard a male voice and relaxed a bit. Seemed like someone who just expected the Hepheastus cabin to be the cabin to go to, when they needed something. But that was what they were there for, right? Shoving his goggles up to sit on his hairline - as usual - the boy hesistated for a moment before he went to the door and opened. "Hi, I'm Alaric Oswald... Come in if you want, there are Hermes kids on that roof sometimes, it's not really safe", he said and started rambling immediatly before he stepped back inside. "It's kinda empty, I guess my siblings have gone because summer is over but I can see if I can help you."
He examined Corrin for a second and guessed that he was older than him... And he seemed serious and sounded clever. Still he didn't really want to guess who his godly parent was because he was sure that he couldn't remember all of them. There were just too many of them.

Tag ; @lucie In all honesty, in terms of emptiness, the Zeus cabin wasn't much better. Lots of campers moved in and out, some died, some just left, and Corrin couldn't keep track, although, it seemed that the only ones around were him and his sisters, though he didn't know anything about Daphne's whereabouts. Poppy had lost her watch on the day she arrived and was sent into a panic, so he really didn't have to be worried about getting bored. On another positive side note, he didn't have anyone creepy stalking him either. Now, that would just be very, very weird but since Corrin, for a son of Zeus, wasn't too powerful, he didn't try to pick a fight. Although, monsters and especially hateful demigods liked to try their hand at hurting him. They failed, but maybe he needed extra insurance, which was why he was here.
"It's good to see you, Alaric. Let me guess, you're one of the few year round campers like me, right? And that does sound rather dangerous, but you've got the smarts and talents to solve the problem, I'm sure," he did his best to add as reassuringly and warmly as possible. How Alaric would solve his problem of Hermes kids pranking him, Corrin wouldn't know, but it might be because not too many Hephaestus campers were around. Perhaps, he could give some advice. "I have an idea, though. You could try and get more people to hang out with you. If you want those Hermes kids to stop harassing you, try to stick with a group of friends. That's how the camp store clerks managed to fend off thieves for a while... A good while anyway." However, the half-Japanese demigod digressed, and had more important things to discuss at hand.
"Anyhow, thanks for volunteering to help me out. I was wondering if you could help me forge a weapon, perhaps? I've used regular Celestial bronze weapons for almost all of my life, but I've never felt one that truly suited me. And that's why I figured I should probably have one custom-made for me, but I'm willing to be actively helpful in the process if needed be," he explained coolly. The specifics would come soon once he could properly gauge Alaric's reaction.

A smile crossed Alaric's face because it seemed like Corrin was okay. "Well, I guess so... Though I haven't been here for that much time. Honestly only like a week", he explained his 'status' or however one would call that. He was about to say that it was more kind of wet than dangerous, when the older boy gave him an advice that made him bite his lip slightly. It seemed to him, that he was good at saying things that come out wrong.. "No,no, it's not like they try to steal from me... There was one guy up there yesterday and he threw a bucket of water balloons at me, which was kind of fun to be honest, but anyway, thanks for the advice. I guess it's always good to have a group of friends, right?" He took that as an invintation to go to the Demeter cabin later to see his best friend and ask him a thousand more questions about the other cabins.
Then he came to the point by telling him why he'd come to the Hephaestus cabin; Alaric'd been right, he thought that he could help him. Well, maybe not necessarily him, but considering the outstanding absence of his halfsiblings - if he even had any - he would have to help Corrin. And he would as he loved to help. The boy nodded along to his words while in his mind, he already made notes about the materials he should use and what the sword could look like. "Well, you came to the right cabin!", he exclaimed, kind of excited. "To be honest, I no experience with forging weapons, but I'm content that we can figure something out." His tone was optimistic because he was telling the truth and nothing but the thruth; he knew that he had to be able to forge weapons because of his father and so he knew that he would figure it out. With the help of someone who knew something about weapons, he was certain that it would be easy.
"Do you have anything specific in mind when you're saying costum made??"

Tag ; @lucie So Alaric was a new camper? Well, he seemed pretty nice so maybe the son of Zeus ought to do something to welcome him, but what? Plus, that thought meant he was kind of getting ahead of himself. Despite being so new, almost the entire Hephaestus cabin was left to Alaric, so the boy must be doing just fine. For now, there were more important things to cover, so Corrin just replied, "Oh, really? Then, welcome! If you need any help, feel free to ask." He then raised a brow in surprise at Alaric's response to his advice. "Well, then... it sounds like he made quite a splash for his introduction. I wager that with your skills, though, you could return the favor, fivefold." Meaning, if Alaric built something simple like a catapult, he could fire five times the amount of water balloons back at the guy. At the very least, though, it seems like the Hermes camper was only just playing around with the son of Hephaestus. Hopefully, that game would remain harmless.
Letting out a slight smile at the younger boy, Corrin was pleasantly surprised by his eagerness and sweet nature. Mr. Oswald seemed to be the right choice for the job, even if he wasn't as experienced as his siblings. With such a demeanor, an even better reputation would be built for the children of Hephaestus. The candor Alaric also expressed was pretty refreshing too. If anything, it let the older boy know he came to an honest man. "Well, I certainly agree! Even though your siblings aren't here, there's probably a lot of guides and other experts here so maybe we could learn about this together through researching it." The subject was certainly intriguing enough, and Alaric had made a good impression so in the other demigod's opinion, things were turning out quite smoothly. It was key to stay positive about these sorts of matters since custom made weapons were an important deal to just about any half blood. Now, all he had to do was decide what kind of weapon he wanted. "Yes, I think I would like to have a weapon that is suited specifically for me. Well-balanced in my hand unlike those generic training models. In all honesty, I can work well with swords, but I prefer lances, spears, and javelins." Surely, that was a good start. He didn't want to intimidate Alaric right off the bat with too many demands.
