[Dru Alberts]

When he said things stayed the same as well Dru sorta side eyed him before he explained. It made since though, they looked for different things. She looked for the changes, the lost of leaves, the moves of branches. Ash looked for the constant things that had to do with him being out there. His len was focused around hunting, hers was on changes. Interesting, very interesting. She laughed at his words though as they walked. Any reason? "You are so right there. Anything to get away from my cabin." she said with a chuckle.

She noticed him moving thins out her way and mentally thanked him. It wasn't that she needed him to, she'd make i fine, it just meant she didn't have to lift the cast as high. Yeah, ash definitely reminded her of people from her hometown, at least in some good ways. That southern charm of helping and expecting nothing in return. A part that she didn't know very well. "A few more weeks as long as i keep it from getting too rattled." she said and laughed, shaking her head. "So probably a month since I can't stay in bed to save my life." or in this case, her leg.

A few weeks was still a little long for her to have to wear that thing. Despite some time having passed since her injury it was still probably more recent than she would have liked. Granted she didn't seem to be overly concerned about it. "I've often felt that those who chose to let their injuries own them have longer recoveries than those that do not. Knowing your limits is a good thing but keeping yourself confined to bed might lead to more lasting consequences in the long run."

Of course one could take that advice too far which was why a happy median was usually best. Something that Dru might want to keep in mind. "I would avoid falling out of any more trees for a while if I were you though." Ash's sense of humor was drier than the Sahara Desert at noon on a summer day but apparently even he could make a joke sometimes. He didn't smile while he said it however and it might have been a little hard to tell. "Hopefully you are at least getting some footage to make it all worth the trouble."

Dru nodded simply at Ash's words, agreeing with them. Honestly the idea of her being cooped up in the Hades cabin for days would be a nightmare. Its always so, quite and dreadful in there. It honestly feels like death. It's not a comfortable place for her. She may be a child of Hades but it wasn't like her to be that way. Dru has never felt that way, like death surrounded her. Well except for when a certain someone was around.

Speak of the little blur of fire. She smirked as looked down at ghostly fox trailing behind the two. Best not to deal with fire now, since Ash would think she was going crazy,-er. "Trust me I dont plan to fall anytime soon." Honestly, she had no idea if he was scolding her or joking with her. Okay then. "yeah, I got enough footage for my film, so I won't have to get anymore anytime soon, I should have enough to edit." she said eyeing the ghostly fox, smirking all knowing like. The fox looked like it was judging her, so she stock her tongue out at it.

"Good." He said simply and walked on. The path wouldn't be too much farther and once back on direction towards camp he doubted that Dru would need his help very much. He would go with her if she wanted but he supposed she was the type that liked to go at it alone if she had a choice. Still, he might be surprised. It certainly wouldn't have been the first time in any case. "Where do you normally edit your film?" He asked as they walked. "I wouldn't think camp has the facilities for it although I admit I don't really know what would be involved."


The question was meant only as a way to pass the time but something in Dru's voice struck him as odd. It sounded like she was smiling, like something was funny, and it was enough to make Ash look behind him to see her smirking and sticking her tongue out at…something? He didn’t see anything but the girl apparently had. When she turned back around he gave her an inquisitive look asking the question without really asking just in case she didn’t want to answer. It certainly wasn’t the strangest thing he had ever seen in any case.

"I use a computer in the Big house that chiron has set up. It doesn't attract monsters since there is no internet on it or anything" she said before stopping when Dru noticed the look he was giving her. She gave a quick back and forth between him and fire before the wires in her brain finally clicked. "Oh. Thats um, well, If i say my pet ghost fox that literally is on fire does that make more sense or less sense?" she said before cracking a slight smile. She nodded the fox over before it climbed into her arms. Using her energy he became slightly more solid, but she honestly had little energy to spare when it came to lugging around this cast in the woods. At least he'd know she wasn't insane.

"He is, well. Its a long story but he follows me around and like to mess with me and people around me. Little trickster." she said walking on with the ghost 'resting' in her arms. He couldn't phase through her, but didn't mean he was solid either, just, like she was holding denser air. "editing isn't that hard though, just tedious work."

Ash nodded with the flow of conversation keeping up with the girl's words as they walked. He had never been a heavy user of computers. In fact, rarely was a better term to describe his involvement with them. He had always been one for the outdoors and for the most part he tried to avoid anything more complicated than a calculator. Still, he could understand how useful they might be to Dru in her chosen profession. Her comment about the ghost fox however, that was something that got the boy's full attention and brought him to a stop.

He glanced back at the girl and watched as she made the fox a little more visible. Having never dealt with a ghost fox before it was something to see but he supposed the he would have to take her at her word on the rest of it as it seemed to be draining her just to show him her pet. Fortunately Ash's practical nature allowed him to do just that without question. If Dru said her ghost fox acted a certain way he had no reason to doubt her. "An interesting pet to have and I have no doubt it's an interesting story of how you came by him as well. Maybe you'll tell me sometime if we ever have the occasion."

Turning his mind back to the question of computers Ash added. "It's better you than me I suppose. I wouldn't know the first thing about editing film. Finding a game trail, marking direction by starlight, those are more of my skills." Stepping through some more underbrush he led them to a place where the going became a little smoother and the trail through the forest a little more defined. “Speaking of I believe we are on the right path now.”

Dru shrugged as she followed Ash though the forest, Fire was a interesting pet that was needless to day. “Maybe some day, it's just a hades kid thing I guess. It just kinda happened” she said smiling at the little fox beneath her feet. Fire came into her life randomly and ever since then she can’t imagine her life without the little fox. The fox was pretty much a constant companion, even when he was gone he was never that far away and she could always seem to summon him when she needed him.

As they walked the fox made a noise and she realized him from her grip, letting him return around to running along the ground and playing with the living world. Why he was stuck she’d never know. They finally seemed to make it to the path back to camp and Dru let out a sigh of relief. She looked over at Ash and smiled widely at him. “Thank you so much on this. You really didn’t need to do all of this for me.” She said, rubbing her hand on the back of her neck and smiled sheepishly “I can take it from here though. Thanks again for all your help, if you ever need anything come by the Hades cabin. I promise you won’t burst into flames or anything.” She said before putting her hand on his shoulder, in a thanking gesture and went on her way with Fire.
