It felt like all the ice was finally melting away when Cody scaled up the mountain. Everything seemed to play back in his head like a vision of the past. His body was autopilot and only one thing was repeating in his head. Home. He didn't even know what a home meant. He knew what the metaphorically meant, safety, nurturing, love. Yet he didn't feel that, he felt his heart skin, his skin crawled as he peeked over the hill and starred down at the dusk covered camp.

Everything in his body was screaming he belonged here but his mind and heart said otherwise. He was dead, thinking of this place made him remember how it felt in the underworld. Cold, intangible. Like he was a hollowed out body with nothing inside. Then again, wasn't he? He wasn't completely sure how the whole coming back from the dead thing worked anyways. Not like he was experienced in it.

He was walking through the camp towards what seem to be the head place. Porch light on, how ironic. He heard mummers and whispers but he saw no one in sight. Fainted yelling, swords clashing, roars that haunted his nightmares. They all sounded so clear to the boy when there was no one around. He made his way up the steps of the porch and looked around. The voice came back. If you go in there is no turning back. Then again, what did he have to go back to. He opened the door.

Chiron said she needed to get out of her cabin more. Funny, Daven didn't feel that way at all. True, the only siblings she had left at camp came and gone like the wind, but she felt a sense of comfort in her cabin. Besides, the other Poseidon kids kicked her out of their cabin when all she did was mope all day. So since she didn't willingly leave her cabin, Chiron assigned her to a horrible duty so he could keep an eye on her: attic cleaning.

It was dirty and full of... stuff. Daven was pretty sure there were a couple of real skeletons in here as well. But once her time was up, she left the attic and headed down the stairs. As soon as she was about the middle of the stairs, she heard the door to the Big House open. She lifted her head to see who came inside, but stopped dead in her tracks as her eyes went wide. She gripped the handrail as she suddenly felt her legs about to give out on her. Could it be?

"Co... Cody?" she choked out as she tried to fight back a sob, but tears were watering in her eyes. "Is that you?"

Cody.The boy shot his head around to a girl who looked to be around his age. Ever once in his body was telling him to scream, hug the girl and never let go but his brain wasn't aware of why. She looked so familiar, but he couldn't put his finger where. Slightly like Daven, well a grown up version oh his younger sister. Thats when the 'Welcome back to the world of the living' tour guide decided to pop back in. Daven. Daven Davis.

This older girl couldn't be his younger sister. Yet her eyes gave him a look he knew all to well. When she scraped her knee after riding a bike for the first time, you would have swore that the world was ending then and there. Yet it didn't, and even now, the world still insisted on living. Cody blinked twice after being lost in his own thoughts before looking at her. "Daven?" he asked cautiously, unsure if it really was his sister but hey, the voice had yet to lead him adrift. It took him home, back to his family. It was like his patron. All too much.

Daven couldn't tell if this was real or if all the dust in the attic went straight to her brain. If it was Cody, he didn't look a day over 16. He honestly looked exactly like he did the day he died. Like the Kraken's mouth just transported him right to this moment. It had to be a dream or something. He was supposed to be dead. She knew it. But why were the tears starting to streak down her face?

Maybe he would disappear through the tears. Once her head was clearer, he would leave her and she'd be back to mourning him like she had been for the past three years. But he said her name. That's when she knew it wasn't her imagination wasn't playing tricks on her. Or if it was, it was fooling her very well.

"Oh, Cody," she said as she choked back a sob and took a step down the stairs. "You came back." Her quickly screamed as she misjudged the step and missed it and proceeded to fall down the stairs.

Honestly Cody had no clue what was going on. The girl in front of him only vaguely looked like his sister and even then it was all blurred. Who had she been, what they had been together. Were they close? Dispised each other? He had no clue.But he did know that she was literally falling towards him. Rather rapidly. Oh wait he should catch her. At the last second he put out his hands and stopped the younger girl from busting her nose in on the base of the stairs. “You alright?” he asked nonchalantly.



Honestly he had no clue how to take this. The voice kept saying to bring her in but he didn’t know this girl. If he had it was all just a blur. He knew the little blond that ran around growing flowers at her skipping not whoever this was. But this was who she was and that should be enough.

Daven screamed as she fell down the stairs. She closed her eyes in preparation to smashing her face on the landing, but that never happened. Instead, she felt hands on her shoulders, keeping her on her feet. She opened her eyes to look into her brother's face. It was all too much. She burst into tears as she moved to sob into her brother's chest. She wrapped her arms around him and held him tight. She was afraid to let go and lose him again. She couldn't lost him again. Not after all that she went through.

After several minutes, she managed to calm herself just enough to look up into her brother's face. "Cody... how...?" she asked as she reached up to touch his face. "How are you back? You're dead! They said the Kraken ate you, but you're here. How?"

How was he alive? Cody knew that he shouldn't be. He skin was too cold, insides too hollow to be alive. Memories to fresh, life too similar to have been reborn. He was real yet transparent. A shell without a soul. They said that they had a plan for him and that he would have his life back. He wanted to be alive but he didn't want his life. He wanted a new one, fully molded and sculpted by him, not someone that use to wear his skin. He was reborn, not resurrected.

"I-I don't know" he said before he slowly nudged the girl off of him. He knew her, he knew she was his sister, yet he felt nothing for her."I remember dying, but i don't remember anything between in the underworld. I woke up in LA and followed "don't tell her of us "my feelings here." he said without breaking the sentence. The voice had never lead him a stray so he knew to follow it. Besides, he still had a job to do. "I have no idea how or why but here I am"

Daven didn't realize that she was leaning so much on her brother and using him as a support that when he nudged her off, she stumbled a bit backwards. She looked at him as she blinked back the tears. He didn't know? He wasn't acting like the Cody she knew. She wished it was a bad dream, like the several others she had before. But this was real. Cody was here in flesh and blood. She blinked a couple more times as a few tears streaked down her face.

"You don't remember?" she whispered as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She opened them back up as she looked at her brother. "Do you even remember me?"

Do you even remember me? Memories played in his head, yet none he could call his own. A young bright smiled boy playing with a even brighter smiled girl. Memories of a dance that he and a blonde girl dance for the evening. Memories of, terror. Terror and Darkness. Cody looked down at the younger girl and put a hand on her shoulder. "I do remember you. Well. Not this you but a younger you." he said and looked down smiling ever so slightly, just enough to tell."Well at least a littler, blonder you."

His smile instantly faded again. "I don't know why I'm here but I am. I need answers." he said before looking down "For now, I need to rest. I'm guessing im still welcome in a my cabin. Though I don't know how to explain their suddenly alive brother."

Daven reached up to lightly touch her hair. A blonder her. She was blonder when Cody was still alive. She was out in the sun more and that lightened her locks, but now she rarely went outside which made her hair darker. She smiled sadly at him. At least he remembered her. That was a start, right? But for the being suddenly alive after being dead for a while thing...

She shook her head. She wanted to offer for him to stay at her cabin. She wanted to be around him more. She didn't want to let him go. She already lost him once. "I don't know how they would react," she said as she shrugged her shoulders a bit. "I mean... there has been some turnover in that cabin, so I don't think a lot would know who you are."

I don't think a lot would know who you are. Cody could almost feel the voice in his head smile at that, but his own emotions went otherwise. He didn't remember his half siblings that he had known when he was alive, but, he certainly wished they were still here. That they could maybe fill in some blanks to who he was and what was going on. Of course it wouldn't be that easy, the voice still held the answers that he wanted over him, and he was willing to do anything to get them. Cody looked down at his younger sister and wanted to leave. For her sake. He knew what was coming and didn't want her to get hurt or worst. They had plans and his sister, well. She was his sister, even if he didn't remember her.

"I should probably hunt down the old horse and talk to him. Maybe he has some answers" that cody could instantly write off as wrong. Can't head the head honcho in on their plans. Then again when they come into the light, they will have quite the explaining to do. Cody's hand reached out and scuffed the top of Davens hair slightly. "I'll come find you later okay little Daisy?" he said before he froze. Where ever that came from he had no idea, but it felt so familiar. So, normal. That was what was terrifying about it.

"If Chiron has answers," Daven muttered as she looked at her brother. Chiron did have a lot of answers, but he was also super old. She wasn't sure if he would have answers to why Cody was suddenly back from the dead. She wasn't sure either, but she was glad to have him back, but she was scared shitless at the same time that this was only just an illusion and she would never see him again. She smiled sadly at him before he reached out to ruffle her hair.

She froze just as he did as she looked up wide-eyed at him. He always did that when they were younger. Daisy was her nickname when he found out she was a daughter of Persephone. The real Cody was there and it scared her. She quickly nodded her around as she backed away slowly. "Yeah," she said softly as she smiled at him. "Persephone cabin, remember." She smiled at him sadly and looked at him one more time before she turned on her heels and left. She had a lot of thinking to do.
