" Stop looking at me like that." His voice was husky and souded like a growl because of that, deeper than it usually was. Valentine knew that he was talking to a dog but that dog was better company than anyone else for the last four years. Sirius and him had formed a close bond and he knew that they both cared about each other; just that they both couldn't say it because the dog couldn't talk and he was just too stubborn to express feelings of care. He also would never admit that somehow he liked the thought to go back to Camp Halfblood. Under any other circumstances he wouldn't return now as well, but he could feel that it was about time to go back and get fixed up. The only thing he didn't like about that was the fact that he'd played dead and he didn't look forward to the reactions he'd get for that. It was against the rules to play dead, wasn't it? But he'd done what he'd wanted to, so he didn't feel any remorse. Especially not at the moment when he could feel his shoulder that had been dislocated once again, but this time seemed to have decided that it would stay there. Add his arm that seemed to be slightly differently shaped than it should be and it hurt enough to even stop the son of Ares from fighting on. After snapping at his companion, he just walked on next to him. And then Valentine saw the entrace of the Camp in front of him and stopped for a second. This was it with doing what he wanted, at least for now. It wasn't like he was going to prison, he was just stopping by. Quit being such a wimp, he told himself in his thoughts and continued walking. He crossed the border... and there he was back at Camp Halfblood. The young man walked up the hill that lead to the Big House, Sirius faithfully right behind him. It was the onset of dawn, so there weren't many Campers out and he just leaned against one of the trees close to the building and watched the not-existent action.

As was any evening, the big house was her place of origin. It was mostly Peyton running around helping them the apollo kids patch up anyone that needed help. Mostly it was just telling them what was wrong. The apollo cabin were excellent healers in their own right, but they couldn't see exactly where the problem was like she could. Well sorta. It might as well be tattooed on their forehead for her. Twisted ankle here, sword slice here, broken arm. Okay that one she didn't need powers to be able to hell. The thought of the shape of that kids arm gave her chills. At least he was better now.
As she walked out she noticed the sunset first. It was a beautiful night and she could smell food from the mess hall from here. The second thing she noticed was the guy slumped against a tree with a dog by his side. He was looking down at camp from the hill. Was he a mortal that could see it? Or just a Demigod? Hell maybe even a monster watching them. There were weirder things that happened here. As she walked down the steps though almost see the scratches and bruises from here. Thats when she stopped all thoughts of food and made her way to the hill. As she got closer and closer she could see the pain playing off of him. Needless to say she made it up the hill quickly.
Nope she wasn't going to do the stereotypical are you okay? She knew he wasn't. Instead she just made it up the hill and looked at the bad shoulder. She could almost see the dislocation. "You need to get this fixed up."

When he thought about it, it made sense that no one seemed to be there. It ha to be dinner time so the Campers were at the mess hall. But then Valentine saw someone leaving the Big House and he watched the girl instead of the scenery. It didn't look like she was injured and as he watched her, he figured that she had to be one of the children of Apollo who worked at the infimary. Damned sunshine cabin... He'd never liked the Apollo campers, they didn't take fights seriously and they were like Disney characters, running around and singing everywhere they went. But at least they knew a thing or two about medicine and healing, so that girl seemed to be the right person at least in this moment. The son of Ares pushed himself away from the tree and straightened himself. "Oh really? I wouldn't have guessed", Valentine said rolling his eyes at her statement. Sirius seemed to be sceptical towards the girl that had apporoached them. A deep growl came from the dog but it only lasted until he glared at him. The growl quickly turned into a whine that ceased as he turned back to look at the blonde. "Would have done it myself, but it isn't working so I had to come back." He eyed the girl for a moment. She looked kind of cute, but he wasn't looking for a fling right now, he needed someone to relocate his shoulder. Besides the fact that she probably was from the goodie-goodie cabin was enough for him not to be interested at all.
Totally listening to when the day met the night.

Peyton was looking over his shoulder, letting herself see ever problem in it. Granted it wasn't the only problem he was having but regardless. She looked it carefully so as soon as he was in camp she could treat it quickly. His harsh words didn't phase her at all. She had her fair share of harsh tones in her life, she just chose to ignore them now. She returned the roll eye at the boy and shook her head., mumbling something about lack of self preservation. She noticed the dogs growl, that was unnerving to her. She was more of a cat person anyways. "You are a idiot. Lets go" she said gesturing him to walk. Clearly he had been here before, she chances were he knew the way.
The girl could fix his shoulder right here and now with her powers. They were amplified from a Apollo kids, it didn't take that much for her to heal. She looked over at him and shook her head, not saying anything. His shoulder wasn't the only problem but regardless that shoulder was his main problem. "Coming?" she said simply before walking towards the big house.

No, no once that girl continued talking she wasn't cute at all anymore. Lack of self preservation. Oh, great, she thought she was funny or something. Or even worse knew him after not even five minutes. Valentine looked at her slightly unnerved, when she told him that she was an idiot but he only smirked smugly. "I get that a lot, Princess", he said and looked down at her. Sirius kept quiet because of the threat he'd gotten from his master but he knew that he'd freak out when somebody touched him so it wasn't good when he would come along to the Big House. Maybe he didn't like the girl but he didn't want his companion to kill her, he wanted to stay around at least a few days. "Sirius, go to the cabin." He barked the command but it wasn't because he was talking to a dog; that dog was more important to him than pretty much every living person - except his sister - it was just how he always talked. And Sirius obeyed and ran off. He followed the girl wordlessly, there was no need to talk to her, at least not right now. She'd told him what she thought of him and he'd told him what he thought of her and it seemed better to just leave the Big House when he was done here. For a moment, when she didn't look, she hesistated on the front porch of the building, eying it suspiciously but then quickly followed because he didn't want anyone to see that he was hesistant. That being back somehow made him nervous, especially now that he was really inside the Camp. The scary thing was that everything looked exactly the same, like it had on the morning when he'd left to go on his quest a couple years ago.

Giving the boy only enough attention to make sure he was behind her Peyton watched as they entered the big house, unaware to his reaction to being here. She didn’t pay mind to why such a old and clearly familiar demigod was out beyond camp and why he was so injured. She was very one tracked when she was in nurse mode. She led him back to the infirmary, virtually deserted other than a sleeping camper. She nodded over to an open bed in the middle of the room. “Go ahead and have a seat over there.” she said simply before going and grabbing gaze and a cleaning alcohol.
She had taken note of him referring to her as princess. She didn’t care what he thought of her. Did it bother her? Yes, some random dude shows up and she goes out of her way to help him and he is nothing but rude. Princess? Sure at least she wasn’t a jerk. Walking back over to said jerk face she set down the supplies and looked him over. She could see the injuries literally glowing off him. “Shoulder first” she said said simply, rolling up her sleeves. “We will deal with the fractures in your arm and other internal injuries after.” She knew that he probably didn’t understand how she knew, it wasn’t usual that someone could touch you and tell you everything wrong with you.
Ever so calmly and straight faced Peyton whipped out a blade in front of the boy. “I’m gonna cut away the fabric okay.” she more said than asked. Besides with as many tears as it had it was leaning more towards swiss cheese than shirt. Carefully she cut away the fabric and revealed the swollen arm. Ick. Okay work time. “This might sting a little.” She put her hand softly on the dislocated shoulder and in one wave of her hand the entire bone snapped back into place with a loud crack.

Even Valentine knew when he had to do what others told him, so he just did what princess told him and sat down on the bed. He watched her gather some things he'd never bothered to really learn about and acted as if he'd been looking the other way when she turned back to him. The son of Ares frowned, when she told him what she'd do about his shoulder and his arm. He hadn't told her what was wrong besides his shoulder and she only looked at it... From what he knew, sunshine kids healing magic didn't work like that. But hey, what did he know, he'd never been interested in all this medical stuff.
He watched her in horror, as she cut his shirt. It was his favorite shirt. "You could have just told me to take it off", he grumbled and watched her. His arm didn't look good, even he could see that but he did certainly not like the look that princess was giving him. Not him, his shoulder actually. When she told him that it would sting a little, he raised an eyebrow and was about to make a comment about how he could cope with pain pretty well, when she set his arm back into place. He groaned and clenched a fist with his other hand. "Not trying to tell you how to do your job but couldn't you have done that a tad bit gentler?", he asked with clenched teeth and looked at her. Maybe he should stop to provoke the girl, at least until she was finished here.
"You're not from the Apollo cabin, are you? Apollo kids are happy little rays of sunshine, while you, princess, seem a little bit.... edgy?" Why couldn't he just shut it for a moment? But no, he had to keep making stupid comments and right now he wasn't really in the position for that because blondie already seemed pretty pissed.

Peyton had to admit, she wished she bad a camera to capture the moment when she cut his shirt. Priceless. His face when the magic set his bone back and reattached muscles, not so priceless. She never was very happy with the way her magic worked, but it was effective.
"Your entire arm bone was hanging by a half of inch if tendon before it would have fallen clean out of the socket" she said, not even looking at him as she spoke but keeping her eyes on the shoulder, double checking to make sure it was all connected. It was still swollen but would be fine. At least that part of him. She put her hand on it softly before looking up at him "You could have tried to but you might have tore that last bit. And trust me that would have hurt a lot more"
She stood up and walked over, grabbing a bag with a square of ambrosia in it. "Here eat this it will help with the pain." She said before walking back and starting to pick herbs that she had brought out and mixing them into a cup. Regardless of what apollo kids told people, ambrosia wasn't the only way to heal people. She knew all the right herbs and combinations for more internal related injuries. She smirked when he made the connection but instantly lost at his words. "No I'm not a apollo kid." she said simply, as she finished mixing the liquid drink. "Edgy is a way to put it." she said seriously, turning around looking at him and handing the glass over. "Close but no dice. Asclepius. Now drink this it will work on the internal fractures in your bones."

Val had no idea what she was talking about so he just nodded, eying her sceptically. "Doesn't sound that good", he noted and looked down at his shoulder. It still looked bad to him but not as bad as it had before and then again, he didn't know anything about medicine. He huffed, when she told him that it would have hurt more when he would have just put of his shirt. Did she know what it was like to lose a favorite shirt? Also he couldn't really imagine it to be more painful than the resetting. That's why he nodded thankfully, when she handed him a square of ambrosia. He didn't actually say thank you or something along those lines though. That would have been too much for him, he wasn't even sure if he knew how to pronounce it.
He bit off the ambrosia and swallowed it as fast as he could because he didn't want to taste it. He knew exactly what it tasted like to him and he didn't want to think of it especially not now. The taste was still there though and he closed his eyes for a moment, doing his best to keep his composure. When the princess turned around again, he swallowed once more and actually felt how the pain went away, just like she'd said. And that it had clouded up his thoughts.. He eyed the glass she gave him suspiciously. He'd been too distracted to watch her and he didn't know if he trusted her. She seemed kind of pissed after his comment about her being edgy. Edgy princess didn't like to be called edgy princess apparently.
"What's this? Old school, cup of Hemlock?", he asked suspiciously and looked at her for a moment. After reconsidering this for a moment, he decided that it didn't make sense for her to poison him. He eyed her for another moment and thought about what she'd just told him. Asclepius... Was the son of Apollo and the God of medicine. That explained why she knew how to deal with his injuries. He shrugged lightly before he drank the liquid. As he set it down again, he looked at princess again.

Old school, cup of Hemlock, okay Peyton regardless of her dislike of said jerk face, she smiled at his comment. Poison? Did he really think that she'd go threw all the trouble of healing him just to kill him. No matter who he was the thought of, well, doing that. It sent a chill through her entire body. She watched him drink it regardless of the comment. At least he wasn't serious about thinking she'd hurt him. "No not hemlock. Though my dad would probably approve. It'll fill the fractures in your bones and should stop any internal bleeding still going on from-" she said and stopped. Looking him over for a moment. "Whatever it is that you went through"
Most people didn't stumble into camp half dead without a reason. Whatever it was she got the feeling that he didn't want her of all people to pry into this. She took the glass from him when he finished and set it down before looking him over. Okay arm. She reached over and grabbed the gaze and rubbing alcohol. "Now this in fact old school. It'll burn a little but the ambrosia should help." She grabbed his hand slightly before extending his arm and turning it around. Carefully she whipped down the blood and cleaned up the wounds without saying anything but humming lightly to herself.

A smile flashed over his face when he saw the girl smile herself but it quickly disappeared. Valentine didn't smile when others smiled, at least not when he didn't like the person. And he was sure that he didn't like blondie princess eventhough she wasn't an Apollo kid, she was still a snob and also she cut his shirt. That was enough of a reason to dislike her for now. The young man looked down at the ground at her words. Whatever he'd been through... Four years on his own and it had been four good years. He'd felt remorse a couple times, especially in the first few months when he thought about leaving Camp behind. He'd been alone most of the time, Sirus being his only company and even when he tried to maybe settle somewhere for longer, it hadn't worked out. Maybe that was why he'd returned to Camp now. But the tone of the girl made him overthink his decision. He had to quit thinking about this right now, though, because he'd made this decision and he would stay for now. Gods knew for how long.
He looked back up at her, when she took his arm and started to hum. It didn't hurt as much as his shoulder so he could cope with it pretty well. It was weird to see that he actually had skin under all the blood and dirt that covered him. "Does the princess have a name?", Valentine suddenly asked. He didn't want to think about her as the blondie princess.. Not that he'd think about her anyway, he just wanted to make sure that if he should ever do that, which was kind of ridicioulous, he had an actual name.

Jerk face may have thought he was fly but she caught a glance at his smile. Whatever it was for it was actually pleasant. Well for the second it was up at least. Peyton finished with cleaning up his arm, there had to be at least 4 layers of dirt and blood covering his skin. How long had he been out of camp? Clearly not at a point when she was around, she had never seen the kid before in her life. One coming back looking like he had been buried in a tomb for a eon only to fight his way out.
"Does the princess have a name?". Peyton laughed slightly at it before she went to grab the gaze wrap. "It's Peyton not Princess." she said as she wrapped his arm in a heavy layer of the cloth. Just to make sure. Last time she wanted to do was to have to patch him up again. She didn't like to see others hurt, butt face here included. Keeping him out of the infirmary was always a priority of hers. "What about you, do you have a name?" She asked as she finished wrapping the bandage and secured it before looking up at him. "Come back tomorrow I'll check the healing and see if anything else will be needed." she said whipping her hands clean of the his blood. Touching sight.

Edgy princess' laughing was one of the most startling things that he'd heard in the past few years and he couldn't deny that it was a nice laugh. Valentine just hadn't expected it from this girl. "Not Princess Peyton can laugh, wow", he said with a small smirk that he quickly dropped again because he didn't mean to smile. He hesistated for a moment when she asked for his name though. Would she've heard of him? Probably not as he was most likely considered dead by now and they didn't talk about the demigods who died during quests. Besides, he hadn't died and now he was back and the Camp had to deal with it. It didn't matter if somebody recognized him because he was sure that some of the Campers he'd known where still around. Sooner or later it would happen, one way or another. "Valentine Dwight, son of Ares", he said with a small nod and watched her bandage his arm, not saying another words until she raised her voice again. "Yeah", he agreed simply and looked at his arm once more. For a moment he hesistated and looked at Peyton for a moment before he got up and left the infirmary without another word.
