Deception

[Xenos Dhar]

Xenos walked with Uriel in the forest. "Man, that sucks." He told the son of Hades, having just heard about what happened at the trial. Xenos had just met him, yet he felt sorry for Uriel. He was being forcibly forced to serve the gods, putting them before anyone else, even the Dawn girl that Xenos saw the son of Hades cared so much for. He looked up at the night sky. "Hey, Do you know what this mark represents?" The child of the night pointed to the black mark around his left eye.

Uriel sighed and walked with Xenos to the forest, nodding his head he said "Yeah, it sucks big time.I need to kiss their foot just so they won't disintegrate me and Dawn's sister, bad punishment. Well it's better than getting disintegrated." Uriel said as he placed his hands on his pocket, looking at the kid he said "No, what does that Mark mean?"

"It shows that I was blessed to be a champion of the night. It's a mark of power only given by my mother to those who have her favor." He looked at the young man, and felt sympathy. Xenos knew what it was like to be forced away from the one who care most for. "I know what it means to serve the gods. You have to be their little shield against things they don't want to deal with." Xenos suddenly grinned at the younger man. "I know a way to break that curse."

Uriel's eyes squinted, approaching him he said "And what is this way?" He asked, he normally never let someone grab his attention, but this was different. He could be freed from the curse placed upon him. But still, it sounded neat. Uriel then stared at him directly in the eyes. This was getting interesting

"Oh, it's quite simple actually." He told the young man, obviously avoiding answering his question right off. "It will allow you to be free from that nightforsaken curse and if she agrees to it. You will be able to spend the rest of your life in happiness with that lady friend of yours." Xenos was still grinning, but it started to take a demented turn in how it looked.

Uriel slowly stepped backwards and he said "Uh-well, who is this "She" you're talking about? is it your mother, Nyx? If so then isn't she kind of mean? Won't she destroy me when she sees me? And... wait, an eternity with Dawn? I'm not even sure if she likes me back but...Okay, I agree to this... plot of ours." With that he extended his arms as a sign of agreement

Xenos's grin got even wider. "I see. You made a good choice. I don't know what I would've done if you had said no." Xenos took Uriel's hand and shook it. "Now what you must do is this." Xenos's face took a serious look. He pulled out a black orb from his magic trench coat, and smashed it. Immediately the surrounding area went pitch black. "Now the gods won't be able to interfere. Pledge yourself to my mother, Nyx. She is more powerful than any Olympian. My mother sent Zeus home once with his tail between his legs. When you pledge yourself to her, you will become a champion of the night. You will get the power to resist the curse. When this happens, you must renounce the gods, and when you renounce them the curse will shatter." He looked at Uriel apprehensively.

"W-wait, renounce my....family? I d-don't know....My father was too good to me, If I renounce them then-" Uriel sighed and placed his head down, he can't do this to the Olympians, shaking his head he said "Yeah...I think I must....take my word back, sorry." With that Uriel turned around and blended into the shadows, disappearing

"Damn, I almost had him." Xenos cursed himself as an idiot. "Erebus, he's using your domain to get away. Could you catch him or bring him back please?" He prayed to Erebus. He hoped that this didn't blow up in his face. He will regret this decision. He reached into his trench pulling out a ring. "I will have his power, if not his mind also." Xenos growled.

Uriel was striding through the shadows, making his way through the front fort of his cabin he walked towards the door but he felt as if someone was spying on him, gripping his bracelet he twisted them, with that it suddenly morphed to a foot long scimitar that glowed with violet flames. And at his left arm was the same, both radiating violet aura that could bring out your worst of fears, yet when it hits you it's highly venomous

At Uriel's waist was a belt, with vials, contained in the vials were high intensity Greek flames mixed with his on father's flames, making it highly unstable for it burns everything on it's path, Uriel then panted and looked around saying "Come out."

"Wow, you could sense me even at night. I was right to go for you first." Xenos grinned as he stepped into view. The sounds of the party in the distance He flicked the ring into the air and caught it. He repeated this action over and over. "You know there is a way for this to stay civil. Just take back what you just said. Go through with the renouncement, spend eternity with that Dawn of yours, and I will forgive you." He caught the ring and a scowl spread across his face. "But if you don't I'm afraid this might turn ugly." He put the ring away and pulled his katars from his magic trench coat.

"Over my dead body. I'd rather die than join your side, traitor!" With that his eyes glowed in a silver light, he felt his body tensing, his armor covering his body. He looked like a knight in the armor, but all futuristic and it as tight for him. Uriel grinned and twisted, he was at his cabin and he had a special weapon.

Slamming his Scimitars at the ground he felt the ground rumble, with that a circle of flame surrounded them, black flames hissing at Xenos but Uriel kept his gaze at him, with that a helmet like that of a biker formed on his head, pointing his scimitars at him he said "For Olympus!" With that he jumped upwards and swung his sword at his neck

Xenos kept a unnervingly calm face throughout Uriel's response. "Really? That's too bad." He muttered. Xenos then looked up as Uriel jumped, and disappeared. He reappeared right behind the younger man as he landed and swung a devastating kick at Uriel's head, knocking off the helmet. "Did you forget what time it is?" He shouted at the son of Hades. "It's the night, and being both the son of the night and a champion of the night, I have exceptional power right now. You're not getting away from me."

Uriel smiled, bad idea. You should never try to do that to someone. He might be a son of the night but he was the son of the god of the dead and darkness. Uriel grinned as it was about to connect, he dashed back into the shadows and disappeared out of sight. Uriel grinned and reappeared behind him

Aiming a slash at his back he fell backwards and to prevent himself from falling completely he placed his hand at his back, retaining himself Uriel lifted himself up using his hand,twisting he did a nutcracker dance step. But it was a lot more dangerous

Uriel opened his legs and twisted, his legs upwards Uriel pushed upwards, flying in mid air he lifted his scimitars and spun, with that waves of black fire fired everywhere. Uriel grinned and landed on the ground with a kneel

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, oh my this is fun though isn't it?" Xenos laughed from behind a wall of darkness. The wall disappeared to reveal the most demented grin Uriel had ever seen. "Oh my, you didn't think that all i could do is shadow travel did you? I know how to use that umbramancy you're so proud of, and i was taught by Erebus himself how to do so. I can also cast some minor shadow magic spells." He started giggling to himself. "But i will only keep this level of power during the night. Which means i can keep this up for quite a few more hours." As Xenos said that he sent two strands of shadows at Uriel hoping to catch him, but not expecting to, and he reached into his coat again and brought out another globe of darkness.
