Ah, the Roman bath houses. easily one of Macs favorite places about Camp Jupiter. She could often be found spending time there surrounded by bubbles and steam. She liked her water hot, as hot as the bath houses could get it. Granted, it was classic Roman Bath house style, so she generally liked to go when no one else was there so no one would complain about the temperature she went with.

It was early in the morning now, about two or three am. The rest of the camp would be getting up very soon to start morning routines and training. Mac always stayed up late and woke up early. She liked crowds but also liked the alone time that came from avoiding everyone early in the morning and the bath house was the perfect place to start!

Early bird gets the worm. Cheyenne always told herself. That was one thing she believed in. She always got up early before the crack of dawn to train. There was something soothing about having the entire training grounds to herself like she could mess up and nobody would notice. Plus, with all her Praetor duties, Cheyenne liked to blow off a little steam before the day began. Once she worked up a sweat and called her training good for the day, she gathered up all of her bathing stuff and headed off to the bath house.

She figured this early in the morning, she wouldn't see anyone here, but she was pleasantly surprised to see one of her friends in the baths as well. "Hey Mac," Cheyenne said with a smirk as she put her stuff down. "I never pegged you to be a morning person."

As Mac heard the voice beside her she looked up with a big, bright smile. "Awe, quite the opposite, darling! I prefer to be awake rather than waste perfectly good hours with too much sleep. Granted, beauty sleep is also very important," she stroked her chin with a finger in thought for a moment before shaking her head. "Either way, here I am! Looking for some solitude. But don't worry. I've had plenty! How are you? I bet you always get up this early, don't you?" Yes, she was talking about a million miles per minute, but Chey was probably used to that by now.

Cheyenne smirked a bit as her friend started talking. She was used to Mac rambling about anything and everything, which was good for her. Cheyenne was usually so wrapped up in her Praetor duties that she could never keep up with camp gossip, so that's when her friend came into play. "Huh," she said as she shrugged her shoulders a bit. "I still didn't peg you as the morning type, but I can see it now." She chuckled a bit as she started stripping so she could enjoy the water. Mac liked it hot and so it Cheyenne. She looked over at her friend and smirked a bit. "I always get up early. I need to train before my Praetor duties kick in for the day. Today is going to be one of those long, rough days, ya know?" Once she was bare, she quickly tied her hair up into one of those messy buns on top of her head before she stepped into the water. She sighed in relief as she knew the temperature it was at currently was perfect for her slightly aching muscles.

Mac knew that Chey wouldn't mind the steaming, burning hot water that she had in the bath at the moment. She wasn't surprised that Cheyennes answer to being up so early was that she always got up early to train. "Awe, it's always a sad day when you just woke up and you already know what's coming. That's why I try to not plan anything. Other than my Legion Duties, Obvs," she chuckled.

Mac quickly ducked her head under the hot water before coming back up for hair as Cheyenne slipped in. "What's so rough about today, anyway? Fin giving you a hard time? Just looking at him gives me a hard time," she faux fanned herself at the thought of the delicious male predator.

Cheyenne sunk into the water up to her shoulders as she let the heat from the water just relax her aching muscles. She looked over at Mac as she raised an eyebrow at her. “Nice to know you have the hots for my co-praetor.” She chuckled a bit as a slight smile crept onto her lips as she shook her head. “Nah, Fin doesn’t give me a hard time compared to some of the legionnaires. He’s probably one of the most calming part of my day today… but I have a few Senate meetings today and those people can be complete idiots.” She closed her eyes as she leaned back against the wall of the bath. “At least Fin will be there to help me talk some sense into them.”

"Uh, the really issue is who doesn't?" she muttered out of the side her of mouth as Chey went on to talk about how Fin doesn't give her a hard time compared to others and whatnot. She laughed as Cheyenne claimed the idiocy of the senate and nodded. "Oh, Fin is rather good at talking in a crowd. He's a bit more level headed than you, which I'm sure the senate responds to a liiiiiiitle bit better," she chuckled again and spread her hands out into the water allowing the heat to slip between all of her fingers. "Anyway- I know just the thing to loosen you up after this crazy week. Tomorrow night I am coming to kidnap you!" Ah, yes. A party in New Rome. This was happening. Maybe she'd even convince Fin to join them...

Cheyenne rolled her eyes at Mac's muttering. She did realize that she did work with a pretty attractive Praetor, but she didn't let it phase her at all. She was able to focus on work when she was around Fin instead of wooing over him like some people. But she had to laugh for a moment as a playful smirk crept up onto her face. "It probably helps that everyone practically fawns over him and everyone would want to listen to him, so he gets their attention that way too."

Cheyenne raised her eyebrows at Mac when she said she was going to loosen her up. "Kidnap me?" Cheyenne repeated as she gave Mac a doubtful look. "Telling someone that you're kidnapping them kind of defeats the purpose of actually kidnapping them." She sighed knowing that Mac was probably going to get her way whether she liked it or not. "Just tell me... do I have to look nice for this kidnapping?"

"Aw, they fawn over you too," Mac said in a factual tone. In all realty, most of camp was too afraid of her sometimes to fawn over her, but Mac believed that Chey was a gorgeous woman and that people should be fawning over her. Heck, she deserved romance more than anyone Mac knew! But she wasn't sure if Chey even wanted that. Well, she would continue to probe. "It might do you some good to try the charming tactic every once in a while," she said with a little shrug and mini pout.

"Heey, I'm a nice kidnapper! It still counts," she stuck out her tongue at the fellow blonde and rolled her eyes, leaning back against the stone to sink further into the water. "Yes. Of course you need to dress nice. I would never kidnap you and then take you somewhere boring. Trust me. You'll want to look good." she winked. "My philosophy is that you should always look good though."

Cheyenne raised her eyebrows at Mac when they said people fawned over her to. The look on her face was quite dubious as she slowly nodded her head. "Sure..." she said as sunk into the bath just enough that the water was under her chin. It might do you some good to try the charming tactic every once in a while. Cheyenne had to roll her eyes as she looked over at her friend. "The charming tactic?" Cheyenne laughed slightly. "Mac, trust me, I know charming, but I know enough that New Rome isn't quite the place to go all pageant girl on them."

"Dress nice?" Cheyenne repeated as she internally groaned. She always dressed nice, but knowing her friend, that meant she was most likely getting dragged to a party or something of the like. And Cheyenne wasn't quite sure if she had any clothes in her closet that would be worthy to be worn at a party. "Okay, fine," she said as she slightly nodded her head. "You're kidnapping me and I'm dressing nice. Gotcha."

Mac knew that Chey would have a skeptical reaction, and her face and response proved it. Mac tossed her head back to laugh again. Mac clicked her tongue and nodded, "ooh, that is a good point. It's a different kind of charm, though. The charisma of leadership!" she lifted one hand into the air, managing to splash some water about. Her eyes widened, "whoops." And one innocent smile later, she was back with her hand in the water.

"But not like pageant nice, Cheyenne. Like cute nice. Like gettin' it nice, eh?" she raised an eyebrow at the Praetor, hoping she understood what that meant. She didn't know too much about Chey's life before camp, but she knew that Chey could take command of a room easily as a Praetor. Why not as a single babe?

"The charisma of leadership?" Cheyenne repeated before she flinched as Mac managed to splash some water around. She blinked for a couple of moments before she looked over at her friend and smirked. She got her hands in position for just the right moment. She shifted over just a bit to Mac as she tried to keep her face as neutral as possible. "Cute nice?" Cheyenne had to laugh for a moment. "I don't know if I can do cute nice. I can try, but people will probably send me to the sick bay because I'm acting so weird." And that's when she decided to act. She brought both of her hands up so she could splash Mac.

"Oh, I'll help you!" Mac said, waving her arms as if that was going to be no issue and there was no point getting worried about it. Then, she was being splashed and Mac sputtered, lifting her hands to protect her face, only she was too late. "Ooh! The dark side is showing-" Mac said lifting her foot out of the water to splash Chey again in turn, but only a small splash. "I guess the time for maturity has passed!" she chuckled, flipping her hair around in order to sprinkle Cheyenne with the water from her blonde strands that had been soaking.

Mac was going to help her with the cute nice. Well... she agreed to it before Cheyenne splashed her, and now things were a little up in the air with their little water battle happening. Cheyenne couldn't help but giggle a bit as Mac managed to do a baby splash with her foot. It still got Cheyenne a little wet, but nothing too horrible. She stuck her tongue out at her friend before she got sprinkled by Mac's hair. She closed her eyes and shook her head a bit before she looked at her friend and smirked. "Oh, I have so much time for maturity today," she snipped back before she giggled slightly. "I just need time for immaturity." And that's when she decided to get Mac with another splash attack.

It was always nice when Chey got to a point of giggling. It was good to get the girl to loosen up every now and then. It was then, in the splashing battle, that Mac decided this year would be different. This year her goal was to loosen the girl up, even if the first step was splashing at the bath houses.

Macs eyes widened as Chey said she needed time for immaturity and then, unsurprisingly, she was splashed again. Mac gasped, then chuckled as she held her hands up as if she could protect herself from the oncoming water. She wished in that moment that she had a more active God Given ability but, no matter, she could splash back just as well with her hands!
